To solve the problem for now, I'd advice him to get a HighPressureAir System (HPA), You just need to modify the mags valve a bit so you can pin on the flexible tube. I think it dosnt annoys that much on a sniperrifle. Its power is also more stable, so the shotpower is equal every time.

I have the WE M14, and what happens is, the magazine can wiggile a bit when it's in the gun. I find that if you pull it towards you, the trigger will keep pushing in the part that releases gas.

I just push my mag away from me, and it works like a charm.

Why doesn't Deadalus use a converserstion to HPA? It's much more reliable than Gas or even CO2. Well, you have to use some crafting skills, but it's not that hard to do. Just some normal Air compressed. It's really reliable for Snipers since the "Extra-bottle" doesn't effect your movement as if you were a "grunt" ;) Think about it. Or at least let Deadalus think about it.

WE makes great guns but their mag tech is crap. Every WE I've owned (mainly pistols) has never lasted a full mags worth without the gas value springing a leak, so you never get that last satisfying shot in which the slide/bolt locks back. WE is great, but count in the cost of getting a KSC/Marui mag when buy one :(

The reason gas rifles in general aren't amazing is not some "capitalist agenda", it's simply the fact that the technology is not fully advanced. Companies such as WE are constantly updating and upgrading gas systems and performance. Things are getting better, but as with any new tech, it takes time.

That was the bolt not cycling fully, meaning it tripped the gas release, but did not fully seat to seal it back off, causing all the gas in the mag to vent.

to be honest, im surprised the thing even cycles in that low of a temperature

gbbrs arent designed to operate in those low of temperatures, thats why you get that big puff of "smoke" every time it fires, its the gas re-condensing once it hits the cold air. so, i guess the co2 mags are your best option if he wants to keep running the gbbr, but the seals arent going to be very happy with that high of a pressure gas

BTW a local guy made a mod to its gas shotgun. Used a chemical hand warmer to keep the gas reservoir warm... (in that case the gas reservoir is in the buttstock, opened up the side and put the hand warmer there)

To be honest I'm not sure that a Co2 mag will fix the problem. My we m14 has a tendency to do this as well and it's usually due to the mag not being seated properly in the receiver after reloading. The hammer falls on the release valve and gets stuck and POOOOSSSHHH!!!!! That said, I would still love to have some co2 mags for this gun!!!
