@Starrman69 Hear! Hear! The funniest ending to the funniest television show in the history of television. She was wonderful. I always remember If it's Tuesday... as well. She was such a doll.
Esta mujer debió ser premiada con el Oscar por su calidad interpretativa no reconocida pero si por sus fans que son millones en el mundo. Descanza en paz Suzye
Beautiful lady, sexy voice, wonderful actress/comedienne! I used to watch the Bob Newhart Show faithfully - I had a massive schoolboy crush on her! She's become one of the "Stars in the Heavens!"
She had the sexiest voice of all time. I will miss her. She was the only woman who could play opposite Bob. Suzanne will be missed by all of us. We will never forget her.
@BudStv23 She did have the sexiest voice of all time. Sadly the very cause of that sexy voice was ultimately the cause of her death. Years and years of heavy smoking took it's toll on her.
But she was one of a kind and a very VERY classy lady!
She brought us much joy and laughter. I still remember her in this ridiculous t-shirt with rhinestones on it, in Newhart Show, when her character was trying to be a young girl again and supposedly looking silly..but she was so beautiful, she could not truly look silly!
I loved her as an actress. She was so talented, and never played a "wife" like Patricia Heaton. She was classy, and smart, but always supportive and funny. She was a delight. She died much too young. God bless.
I remember when I first watch the Bob Newhart Show in the fall of 1972. I remember it following the Mary Tyler Moore Show on CBS. She was truly one of many gifts of laughter from God.
It is coincidental that Suzanne Pleshette replaced Ann Bancroft on Broadway in "The Miracle Worker". I never knew that. Pleshette and Bancroft are two of my favorite actors, and we lost both of them this year. So sad. Two beautiful and talented ladies.
R.I.P. Ms. Pleshette. I remember you from the Bob Newhart Show, Maggie Briggs, and the final episode of Newhart. Now you'll continue your superstardom up in the sky. Peace!!!!!
I first saw Suzanne when she starred in Rome Adventure. She was beautiful, talented and became my favorite star. This is a sad day as she passed away prematurely. May she rest in peace.
On the front of the tabloids this week the headlines read " Her Last Days " whenever they do that whoever it is , is usually dead within a week. I will miss her talent, one of the great stars of our times!
I don't think the org. clip is allowed on YouTube but I just posted their 2003 version. I just posted it so it might take a few hours to show in "search" but you can view all my videos and it should be there.
Her appearance on the final Bob Newhart Show is television history, perhaps the best final sit-com episode ever. "If I'm in Timbuktu, I'll fly home to do that," she said of doing it.
She was amazing! Her comic timing was always on point and she helped all us girls growing up learn how to "drop" a line....lol.....she will be missed.
