  • This is a tutorial. Watch the video, and hit the keys I hit at the same time that I hit them.

  • i can't see the keys that you're pressing.

  • that seems rather rude.

  • magnifecent!

  • aw man i only wish i could see al those episodes all over again

  • i agree

  • haha i blasted my sound and then it got loud... i learned now not to do that and be safe... lol xD. Good Playing tho! I ish i could play like that... i can play but not that good. You should b proud!

  • AWESOME!!

  • Where can I get the music? I have looked everywhere. Thanks!

  • I didn't have sheet music. I came up with this arrangement by listening to the original theme.

  • Think you can write what you made up down?

  • wow that was really really good. I play piano as well, and now you have inspired me to learn this song!! thanks!!

  • That was so beautiful! Thank you for posting it, and you are talented and skilled. Hope you manage to do this as a career.

  • Thanks, EmpressDR, but music will always be strictly a hobby for me. Believe it or not, I'm actually way better at making websites than playing the piano, and there's a lot more demand for those kinds of talents :)

  • Damn, nice job!!

  • hearing this piano rendition soothes and calms me down during times like we are experiencing makes you nostalgic for old times...

  • Ma'am, you win the Internet! O_O My jaw hit the floor. I love I Love Lucy and that is the most beautiful rendition the theme I've ever heard. Marry me! XD

  • I'm glad you enjoyed the performance, but I'm going to have to pass on your proposal. I don't think my wife would approve.

  • LMAO! Sorry, saw the "Heather" and assumed. :P

  • Very good that was an excellent job!

  • that is soooo cool.

you should try the will&grace themeee!! i bed you could do it :]

  • wow that is great, do you have sheet music for it?

  • yaaay!! i love lucy!!!! i really do!!!

  • that was so cool. I just love the show and the way you played the theme music on your piano :)

  • very nice! what kind of keyboard is that? what do you recommend for less than $300?

  • It's a Korg TRITON Extreme 88-key Workstation.

I'd say practically any synth with a weighted 76- or 88-key keyboard would be fine for learning to play. Your best bet might be finding a used piano on Craigslist.

  • OMG that was great!!!! good job sexy!!

  • u sure u didnt just play it on the piano and imitate playing because on a regular piano, a note doesnt last that long at the end.(im just asking) :)

  • No, the video and audio were captured simultaneously. My synthesizer has a sustain pedal attached to it so I can play like a real piano.

  • show me...on a REAL piano(if u have one)

  • In fact, I do have a real piano. What I don't have is a desire to prove anything to you.

  • that was really good. would you happen to have a music sheet for that? if you do, please send it to me, im a big i love lucy fan.

  • "(grimace)" - Lucy

lol That was pretty good. Just smooth it out a little and it'll be recording-quality.

  • sweet!

  • Well done. Would love to have the chord progressions!

  • Boy, it's a little tricky. This is the best I could estimate off the top of my head:

    First part:

    Fmaj7 | G13 | C7-9 (repeat)

    Middle part:

    Fmaj7 | Esus4 | A7 | Dmaj7 | Gm7 | C7-9

    (First part again)

    Big finale:

    Fmaj7 | G7 | Gm7 | C7-9

    F | C7-9/F | Gm7 | Bbm/Gb | F

  • I hear F Maj7#5 (or A/F) for the first chord. Hardest part for me (I'm not a pianist) is hearing the off beat left hand notes you're playing. I know they're mostly octaves and fifths, but I haven't quite got them integrated yet. My favorite section is at the end of what you're calling the middle part with the chromatic inner voice going D -> Eb -> E in the right hand on the Gm7 | C7-9. Nice touch. Thanks so much for posting this! :-)

    Great!

  • You have an excellent ear for the chords and notes.

  • This is called the Tritone replacement, and it's based on a simple thing:

In a Dominanth 7 cord, there is one interval that makes the cord have its feel, and that's the dim 5th between the 3d and the 7th.

The tritone substitute also contains this interval, but on another bass note.

    Here, C7 (containing C, E, G, Bb) is replaced by Gb7 , which has Gb, Bb (C7's 7th), Db and Fb, which enharmonically is E (C7's 3d)

  • huh?

  • it's a reply to another comment

  • That was amazing! Have you transposed the music onto paper? If you have, would you be willing to send it to me?

  • Hey I love the Lucy theme song. You played great!I hope I can play as good as you.

  • Sounded great. I always wanted to play the piano! I am envious.

  • awesome!

  • can you make it an audio?? i'd like to have as my ringtone!

  • "Pep" Means More Happy.

  • very good bro, well done. Hey could you do one with mostly "pep" in it? If so just reply here.

  • I'm not sure what you mean by "pep".

  • I guess just a bit faster tempo, and more "quick strikes" of the keys.

  • Cool

  • Omg!! That was awesome, i am a huge fan of the I Love Lucy show and that was just brilliant... well done :) !!

  • impressive...very!!!

  • can I have piano lessons?

  • Good!!!

  • you are a very good pianist. thipiano rendition is better than the one that they used on the show.you have a gift. dont stop playing the piano.

  • Thanks, man. This was really something I threw together to test my recording gear. Eventually, I will be creating a medly of a whole bunch of my favorite TV themes.

  • that would be great!do you know how to play the Three's Company theme song?
