Some never played Badminton. The reason why she had to dived a lot, is because the opponent is good at faking; he faked a long shot, and then cushion the shot. She had less time to react, she was preparing to move behind, so last resort move; dive forward while not ready to move forward. (I don't speak english, tried to explain as best as I could)

baseball / softball aren't very popular internationally, unlike badminton. not many countries would participate in the event. it's also not very economically smart for london, considering the huge space a baseball field would take up compared to some badminton courts and the millions it'd take to build the field. it makes complete sense if baseball/softball aren't in the olympics.

not till it becomes a liability. look at the huge vacant space she leaves after a dive. sure it shows some form of character, but id rather stick with solid footwork than resorting to diving and limiting ur own team to one player only.

When you watch a sports game for example, the commentators will spot all the mistakes and criticize the players at times but in no way can they actually do what the players do.

To be fair, im 16 and have been playing like 4-5 years, and i learnt that shot in about 15 minutes, the basics of it, getting it over the net and in, and it took me like half hour to get it close to the net and nearer the corner. It doesnt take that much wrist action to play the shot, and if u do not have that amount of wrist action already your not at a standard to need to play that shot. Its not even a slice, its just a plain shot aswell, making the contact even easier?
