There's nothing wrong with Jacque or Joseph, in fact they're both fascinating minds.
The problem is some of the Zeitgeisters that never spent one minute of their lives questioning any of this, they just jump abroad, and I think that you have to go through all of the mind process before jumping to extreme conclusions, again, Jacque is great, the Zeitgeisters I have met aren't.
@SlipAllCityToy I agree...but that, in and of itself, is easily understood. It's called 'bandwagon mentallity' whereas individuals will go along with the group simply because a group is going somewhere. They do not inherently understand why the group is forming or where they are going, they just go along with it simply because they enjoy the ride and feel like they are a part of something even though they don't know exactly what they are a part of...hopefully they will learn.
man, i love this guy, but " let's let teachers DECIDE whats relavent"?? and "i don't need to go to a city to know what the people are like"? sounds pretty anti-individual for an anti-robot guy? i know that this is a heavy and thick topic, just some thoughts to chew........... and 7:20 ish, is he trying to say that there are people who are qualified?
@basscataz what do you mean by "anti-individual"? take into consideration social factors that in America differ greatly from what most people on this world consider "individualism".
people live what their nation holds as example. If you have competition between democrats and republicans, competition is easy to be seen as virtue in politics, and doesn't seem to die; and thus becomes a culture of its own. So with the money and importance with a monetary system. Remember... money can grow but people who access it are limited. Majority of the food is limitless, technology can be limitless, education also, but what holds these great benefits to our survival are the cost.
EXACTLY! "Why go to the moon when the Earth is falling apart." I have been saying this for years!!! It makes no sense! We can't take care of our own, so why are we going to other countries and outer space? We're clearly not yet ready for that.
... doesn't mean they are not related to it. I think all, or almost all his work, has an a good explanatory power on human behaviour, and I don't know of any scientific advances that have rejected his findings. This is also true about other scientists in history, such as Newton or Galileu, which work has revealed very accurate and usefull later. Skinner's findings can one day become very relevant and useful, and help us to reach the changes we need.
I think Skinner did a great job and this should be acknowledged. The criticism Jacques makes about Skinner not saying much about education can be partially true, but I would say that this wasn't the central feature of his work. He was more concerned in studying human behaviour, and finding universal laws, and with all his work he did eventually some work directly more related with social change, such as the novel Walden Two. But the fact the he wasn't addressing social change directly doesn't
- i like social behavioral science - there is alot to learn from them - i like the biomimcry movement where architects engineers and scientist are studying biological functions to solve problems - usally much more sustainably and cleaner - i dont think you can generalize acadeic studies to the extent jacque says here - there are a small but growing number who have introgated a great deal of biology in thier work and these are yielding sustainable and less toxic and beatiful solutions
What he says about academia resonates closely with me. My high school biology teacher refused to work in a University even though he could, and it was because he said there was too much competition. Everyone was "out to get each other" to get grants. Getting tenure and becoming popular in the community is the priority of most. Professors can get kicked out and shunned for merely political reasons... Academia also operates with the basis of seniority as well...
Exactly! "Why go to the moon when the Earth is falling apart." If we can't take care of everybody first, then everything else is secondary. We have to get back to Our Life Ground.
Jacque, There are many social psychologists working on social justice issues who are also trying to change the way the APA (american psychological association) addresses topics of human behavior and mental "disorder"...I should know, I am one of them and many people in my graduate program are working on these issues as well (check out Social/Personality Psych program at CUNY).
@thisheartisfluid That's good news. I have a relative who is a psychologist and he has said that a lot of his colleagues cite things barely relevant to the problems and stresses we face, just to temporarily "relieve" an issue with the hope of more income.
It's cool to see someone like you who is doing their part for the people. :)

Does anyone know if academic education is relevant for supporters of TVP? I find most educations of ingineers to teach you how to make money for companys, thats not what im intressted in.
@ztawiz A somewhat late reply, but an academic education shouldn't necessarily be needed to support TVP. Even Albert Einstein was a school drop-out you know ;)
Great ideas don't only come from the highest educated people.
Also, supporting the project can easily be done by educating yourself with the material available on their website, and sharing it with your friends and others, while encouraging them to spread it further.
@linusstaf Then we come to my next problem. If academic educations are only given from a fixed, irrelevant referencepoint, namely to make money etc, then how do you accuire a relevant education? I know Fresco and Einstein may be self-tought, but if I go to a library or on the internet I have no clue where to start. Every supporter of TVP/TZM should educate themselves to the same lvl as Jacque and not settle for activism.
@ztawiz Well, ZeitNews(dot)org could be a good place. Then digging into the sources of the articles, also looking for publications or books that provide more technical details.
Studying electrical engineering, energy systems or even bio molecular engineering, not to mention IT related subjects will be useful now, during a transition and after one. Sociology and such too.
The universities here in Sweden offer lots of options on these subjects (I noticed you were Swedish) :)
@linusstaf Thanks for the answers. Well, where do I start? Most books and articles on engineering are too advanced for me. Im thinking of taking a "tekniskt basår" at KTH, that should be a good start. Any suggestions?
@thevenusprojectmedia whatever it is it works =) he's definantly picked up the pace since the last couple of videos. Didn't think he could manage it. Always amazes me!
I am a supporter of this project and have been thinking about it all for as long I have met it.
I have a question related to today's law: (most law-breaks are connected to money or the lack of money so money-related problems could be defeated for good but) what about rape? or other agressive actions? I wonder if the level of living is raised these kinds of things would go away.
@Pentoxid Most crimes are in fact about scarcity. The money supply is intentionally scarce, that's why we generally attribute the problems to Money. Getting laid is pretty scarce too, if you're aggressive and or unattractive. I feel that many problems with neurosis today can be attributed to stress, and panic. Power is important because power matters. In a resource-based economy, access is all that really matters. All in all, I think women may be more available, and we'll see a lot less rape.
@Youanden I agree. That is what I usually keep telling ppl who don't understand why this project is so good. It seems others believe this scarcity problem the same way I do. (Then I'm not telling them something utterly stupid... :D) Ok, thx guys.
This is so true! If anyone wants to know how enviroment changes human behaviour, you don't need scientists. Just live in a city vor a year, then go inot nature for a year. See and feel when you are healthier. It's nearly impossible to have a healthy live in a modern city. And Jaque is right: Society accepts that everyone in there turns into a sick, sad being. Time for a big change.
@timoftyr ... There are only people that are scientific in certain areas, like neurology, anthropology, chemistry, etc. A real scientist, according to Jacque would be someone who applies the scientific method to all of his interactions. In the real world, a chemist may talk about science in the lab, but when he goes home, or with his friends, he reverts back to a society based largely around opinions, or he doesn't test those opinions. Do you understand what I am saying?
@timoftyr Interesting. However, not relevant. Jacque is good with semantics, and always, as far as I have seen, is specific when mentioning things about others. He says "it seems to me", or "I have not seen" - not that he was denying their existence, just subjective to what he's been exposed to. To understand his point about scientists, he was more specific in one of his older videos. There are no scientists that Jacque knows of. Cont'd
@timoftyr Jacque isn't a spring chicken any more. I have notice mistakes in some of the things he says also. More then likely it's just outdated info. The fact that he has retained as much as he has and able to communicate it at his age is impressive to me. It's hard to keep up with all the advances of today with a young mind. We look at the academics as a part of the culture. If you have listen to many of his talks he doesn't blame people rather they are victims of culture.
Wonderful. My husband and I just viewed Jacque's new documentary - "Frequency of Genius" - thank you so much for your wisdom and for a better world for my kids.
To take away money from our system now the only other option is for mass government , every one works for the government, and we all live on food stamps/item stamps, every one gets a home built or old, as we as a whole finish the first cities, rome was not built in a day, and it sure as hell didn't end in one.
@Skylinesandsunsets I have already done that many times, but, I have yet to receive a message back. I know they are busy and it's hard to read every email, thats why I wanted to know a place where I could contact another who knew more about TVP so I can ask some more questions that aren't answered in videos such as these.
