  • I would have liked HIM to think that she would try to save his life & out of love for HER he would deliberately choose the tiger only to find "The Lady". tl;dr She LIED!

  • I think he would of chosen the tiger since she had hated the woman, was just like her father in terms of politics and characteristic, and had jealousy inside her. Her role makes the story so interesting since she had picked the faith of her lover but yet we have concluded in a hypothesis that she would of not wanted to leave her love in the hands of another woman and would of hurt less to leave the tiger, the question asked at the end left us all in shock and wanting to know whom the guy might

  • When my teacher finished reading and the question was asked, everyone in my class got so mad -_-

  • Which one came out of the door! I really wanna know! I'm trying out for a musical called "The Apple Tree", because acting and singing are two things that make up my quadrupal threat (acting, singing, dancing, modeling) ^_^, and I'm really into this. Anyways... I WANT ANSWERS!!!

  • apparently this story pissed a lot of people off

  • @brimhildur1 the ending pissed off me and my whole class......it doesnt say what came out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wtf

  • I think she chose the lady.

My reasons for believing so are simple. One, she went to the trouble of bribing people to get the information needed to lead him to the right lady. Two, if jealousy were enough to make her lead him to the tiger, she would not have thought about leading him to the lady at all; it was a constant thought in her head because she was trying to come to peace with allowing him to marry her rival.

  • @CrimsonDaffodils The thought of doing so was torturous to her because she knew she'd have to do so. It wouldn't have been so torturous if she could push it out of her mind - "I'm not going to do that; I'll send him to the tiger." Instead, she'd agonize over sending him to his death.

  • The ending pissed me off after I read it.

    It was so the tiger.

  • it was the tiger.

  • We did this book for our english assignment and the ending PISSED OFF my group so bad!

  • anyone else see the middle statue at 1:38 ~ 1:48 Its mouth was moving :o

  • the ending totally pissed me off.

  • just got done reading the story for my english class and the ending pissed me off forreal!! but are teacher made us write our own ending and lets just say mine is a tear jerker!!! lietteraly made people cry!! ;)

  • Nice story but i say she picked the tiger because she could nt bare seeing him with a nother woman so almost instantenous death would have been better for her part in my opionion. Also i guess this go back to the quote " If i cant have him, nobody will"

  • this isnt the book at all wtf

  • can someone tell me some reasons why the princess is semi barbaric?

  • @fingerboardingrocks7 She is this way because her father is semi-barbaric. She has inherited this quality from him. Evidence is given in the open paragraph description of the King.

  • gosh a TOTAL CLIFFHANGER....

still i like the story so what will you choose??

the lady or the tiger?? hmmm...

  • haha. Love the ending :D

  • @Canhistoryismylife: Adagio for Strings. The movie Platoon used this music.

  • whats the background music

  • I hate how in the end it is a cliffhanger.

You think they couldve give us a heads up

WARNING: YOU'RE GOING TO BE SUPER PISSED AT THE END!

  • dang!!!!! wat happened at da end dis makes me soo mad

  • lol, the ending made my class soooo mad when we read it in english class.

but my answer is this: i believe the tiger sprang foward to tear the princess's lover to shreds. I believe the princess would have rather him be dead then in the arms of another man.

  • the tiger. i feel because all through the story we have only witnesses her as non barbaric . but she is titled as semi-barbaric and not once has she displayed her barbarism . she will reveal her barbaric side of herself when the story leads up to the choice of doors. why be called semi-barbaric if you have no barbaric qualities.

  • the woman came out and they got married and left

the princess saw them and the parking lot adn she took oujt her earrings and she beat that girl up!!!!

  • watch it be a communications mistake and the lover chooses the wrong door that the princess intended....

  • the ending really pissed of my english class.....love the story!!

  • @randomislandgirl Same!!XD

  • @randomislandgirl lol mine tooo

    Thank you in advance

    See you

    Ivan

  • @iseelig you should just read the short story online

  • I think it would be the Lady. After the wedding happens, she would just have them become divorced and then convince her father to let her marry him. She's the fucking princess...she can do pretty much whatever she wants. It's just a matter of convincing the father.

  • @VitalSigns1 They didn't do divorces back then. It was like.. a sin or something. They looked down on it. You marry someone, you stay with them till you die. That's that.

  • Man, talk about treating women like property. Apparently they don't ask the lady if SHE wants to marry this person - who could be a violent criminal. And what if the criminal to be tested is a woman? Do they yank some poor fellow in to be the skank's husband?

  • @catchersmitt0 back then...most of the criminals were men....women weren't really thought of as criminals.

  • @catchersmitt0 my class "wrote an ending to this". (Mine had Chuck Norris in it). In one of my friends, the princess paid to have a tiger in each cage. The King found out and she stood the trial. She opened the door and the woman she hated came out. Eventually they loved each other and had two kids.

  • See what had happened was... She had him pick the door for the tiger. But to her dismay, when the door was opened, it was revealed that the tiger was dead, because they made it so hungry it died from starvation... Don't you just love loopholes in the story?

  • @psych21490

that would be an awesome ending!!!

  • how can i download this video to my laptop i really need this for my presentation help pls...

  • If I were the princess, I'd tell him to choose the lady but I'd sneak into her booth and be all "I am a princess. You will do what I say and you will exit this door. Right now." and so when he opens the door, he'd choose the princess instead of the lady and be destined to marry her, beyond the king's unfair "justice".

  • she probably did choose the tiger... but you don't know she could of tried a Romeo and Juliet scheme choose the princess and when he got out she and him ran away but hey you never know he simply said after this whatever you choose what came out of the door you discover what kind of person you are (of course i didn't quote word for word)

  • she sooo chose the tiger >.>

even the point of the story is a dilema, and has no answer, that's would I have chosen. Most women would have. I mean seriously, men back then went for looks so he could've left her for more beauty. >.>

  • @narutoSHIRTLESShehe um hello, men still do that

  • @msrienne3d

    not all men though xD

  • @narutoSHIRTLESShehe well thats true. i didn't mean to be rude. but i didn't say all but alots of them
