I've been seeing more official Co$ books in local bookstores as well. They are wrapped in plastic of course, but the cover lists what's inside. On the list is "Who is attacking Scientology and why." Ha! Defensive right from the get-go. Not good for them.

Its as corporate as a Wal-mart business meeting. The church here in Nashville cost $6million. They have a staff of 30, and their Sunday service only draws 10-12 people (including me, I went to see how it was) - I saw their Dianetics movie and LRH interview, got a dozen free booklets and a 3 hour DVD of infomercials and vague redundant success stories of how "it works" - "I had a problem and then I read Dianetics and now I feel much better!"
LOL I live in S. Fla.(the Gunshine State)... and I'll be damned if all the crazyiest shit doesn't happen here. I don't know if it's the humidity or if large amounts of cocaine have seeped into the water- table, but people really go off the deep end here. When I see them advertising, I know they are following the Emergency Formula. Its an exactly written out dogma that is a part of their Ethics Technology. So the fact that you are seeing ads for Scientology really tells you that state of the Church from their point of view. They really are in bad shape.
When $cientology stops its abuses, when it closes the RPF and SP Hall at Gold, and when Miscavige is deposed and ethical leadership takes over, then what will there be to protest?

Its as corporate as a Wal-mart business meeting. The church here in Nashville cost $6million. They have a staff of 30, and their Sunday service only draws 10-12 people (including me, I went to see how it was) - I saw their Dianetics movie and LRH interview, got a dozen free booklets and a 3 hour DVD of infomercials and vague redundant success stories of how "it works" - "I had a problem and then I read Dianetics and now I feel much better!"

LOL I live in S. Fla.(the Gunshine State)... and I'll be damned if all the crazyiest shit doesn't happen here. I don't know if it's the humidity or if large amounts of cocaine have seeped into the water- table, but people really go off the deep end here. I don't think I'd have it any other way though, maybe some snow in the winter would be nice, but I guess I'll just have to settle with a large pile of Peruvian Flake instead!

In reality, how many people have read the St. Petersburg Times articles? It's gonna take much more than a newspaper series to bring DM to his knees. Many people have never even heard of $cientology, and most people don't really care! It seems to me that most people would think, "Well, if people are stupid enough to LET someone slap them around, then that's their problem and shows their stupidity." I dunno. Addressing childish epithets to a guy, Chairman Miscavige, who's never been brought to court for anything criminal - never been the subject of any finding of wrongdoing. I don't see the person addressed matching that tenor of immaturity. Ever.
So maybe Mark can look into himself, really with some earnestness & take the steps to honour & classiness.

Even if Slappy goes then someone else would sit in the throne of unchecked power in an inherently corrupt and deceitful organisation. I don't want to get complacent but I kind of think Slappys' days are over already. I doubt I'll like his replacement either. Most $cientologists are victims but that seat of unchecked power would turn anyone insane. Glad to hear they're burning their cash on futile expensive adverts.

One of the things that I have seen is that Scientology doesnt do anything by accident. They have very strict procedures that are required to be followed. When I see them advertising, I know they are following the Emergency Formula. Its an exactly written out dogma that is a part of their Ethics Technology. So the fact that you are seeing ads for Scientology really tells you that state of the Church from their point of view. They really are in bad shape.
