I have this screen as well, tried every possible solution to fix this but came out short.

Sync button trick doesn't work, also the update pack, my USB is completely new so it must be the console itself, I dunno what to do anymore.

I just got a new xbox from microsoft to replace my old broken one. I have an error message when i put the xbox on saying "Update Failed" Couldn't find your xbox 360 hard drive. If the hard drive is attached, contact xbox customer support or go to.....How can i fix this? I have tryed 3 hard drives that have the new dash on it and a MU.

The way you could fix this to get a another hardrive from an xbox that already has the update and put in the xbox you are having the update problem and it should work.

i know how it might work for some people.

take off your hardrive and turn it on.

then turn it off and put it on and turn it on

it should work.

try downloading the update for 30 min sometimes works or more.

if your using a mac to connect to xbox live messsge me because if your using a mac it should work right away

I'm getting "Update Required" message, whenever i sign into the account, boot up a 360, start a game, check  Xbox Live connections, ANYTHING. When I accept, it results as "Update Failed", then returns me to the previous page. When I decline, it just stays in silver, eventually getting those friggin msgs again. Seriously, xbox has way too many problems.. its fun, but not getting an issue with it every week or so. And i've had my ps3 ever since they released it, not a single problem yet.

I know the 360 has a fun assortment of games and it has live but the biggest reason that it has done so well is because developers know it is easier to program than PS3. All the next gen consoles are awesome but the PS3 has the most potential it was developed to survive the next 10 years and if you have not noticed the PS2 is still selling well around the world! The only country where 360 is selling very well is north america.

ok ifixed one like this. put in a game disc and turn off your xbox. then turn it back on with the game inside. it should boot the game. then with your controller navigate to the dashbourd (blade button then Y. answer yes.) hope you have luck.

Its funny the 360 experience is better they have better games but the system itself sucks! If you stick with 360 you will keep throwing your money away I got rid of mine and finally learned my lesson and bought a PS3 and I use it every day and no problems for me! The failure rate for Wii's and Ps3's combined is a hell of a lot lower than the 360's!!!

mine had that problem and well i know people that can fix it but, in the end, its not even woth the trouble of getting it fixed.....but your best bet is to sell the case and HDD and whatever else that you can sell that you have with the xbox like memory cards, controllers and games.

but i sold mine after i got it fixed, and then i saved up for a PS3 =D

as you seen in my vid, my problem was my HDD and I bought a MC and it downloaded with that, the HDD was dead so Im going to take the HDD from the casing to put a new one in.

what is a MC, the disk drive?? if you change the disk drive you have to flash the drive to the mother board for it to work
