I didn't transform on this since I didn't rest before fight. Already played through when it first released after all. I started with Protect, he smacks around 20, healing herb - he takes 73 damage, vitamin, 70 damage, vitamin, 15 damage, herb, sooner or later "Lets Finish This" - 641 damage interface. :)

If you have any doubts on this bout being unwinnable, look up Necroscope86's LP of Breath of Fire 3. He cheats to buff up Ryu enough that he can't be taken down, and deals ridiculous amounts of damage, and STILL Garr does not fall. You can NOT win this match. This is a scripted battle where you HAVE to lose to progress, much like Tiga's fight in BoF2.

i didn't survive the first attack of Garr, he immediatly did a lucky strike og 106 (besides, i had only 1 hp :p) but indeed as you say, after a good 6 turns Garr indeed does the "let's finish this" and hits you for over 800 hp. :)

The battle against Balio and Sunder [When you are trying to stop them from kidnapping Nina] actually can be won. But it's not really a win, considering Nina runs away and Balio and Sunder just leave trying to find her. Once that happens, Ryu passes out and next thing you know, Nina thanks you. XDD

I sat there for a few hours hammering through that part, determined to win.

i leveled up to level 17 and used influence on balio then you heal nina then you heal your self then you attack balio in anyway you want healing occasionaly

they run away giving you 110 exp

No. Balio and Sunder (1st time) can simply NOT be won. Please dont say it is, its not. It's been tested and attempted time and time again (by myself with legit-level 32 characters, leaving the psx on overnight, dealing an estimated 1.8MILLION damage in the meantime.

...how else do you think I managed to survive overnight? influence on balio, and sunder attacks him nonstop. After either 57 or 167 casts of lightning, Balio's AP runs out (and yeah I counted them but I dont recall which number it was >.>; ).

Even so neither of them dies. They are programmed to have (capped) -1HP. In short, they will never reach 0hp and die, nor will healing them/hitting them kill them. The guide claiming they can die used the wrong pictures (many times).

My game is jacked up then I beat him once by using Influence and also Rei was lvl 35 Teepo 32 and Ryu 32 lol I bet Nina was WTF when she saw Ryu's lvl anyways

well then I guess your game is broken indeed. Its impossible to win that fight. Not impossibly-difficult, no, just impossible. You're not supposed to win that fight, and there is no programming done in case you DO win the fight.

Thats true after you beat them they wake up and pretty much you go with the storyline it isnt only me who beat them one of my friends tried it and suceeded but he had cheats

don't lie. You didn't do it. There have been people who used a gameshark to have lv99 rei/teepo/ryu, and left their psx on for an entire WEEKEND. After 3 days, they STILL didnt kill Balio, Sunder, or later Garr. They can't be won, period.

I never noticed it before as well, however those characters were in the audience when I played awhile back on my own copy.

As for the audience, if they don't notice a dragon, maybe Ryu wasn't supposed to transform. The canon seems to point at Ryu keeping his secret identity.

There'd be mass chaos if they knew there was a dragon there, mobs would form, others would flee in terror, considering that everyone else believes the dragons were evil, especially the guardians.

It would seem that the audience indeed does'nt notice that Ryu transformed, but if that's canon. The case would mean that he doesn't of isn't supposed to reveal his dragon form during the tournament, if that's the case, I would play the game Tournament without using ascension.

Actually they do notice. 7 years later as an adult in Dauna Mines there's a random person you talk to that says 'now that you mention it, the last time he saw a dragon was at the Contest of Champions in the Arena'. or something of that nature.

Garr's intimidation is a powerful motivator... Balio and Sunder are shaking good! I want a bunny girl who announces me before I enter places similar to that of Garland's introduction.

I see two people in the audience, one looks like Sakura (Street Fighter) and the other appears to be Chun Li (Street Fighter). Since they are Capcom characters this could be considered an "easter egg."

Those lucky strikes look really dangerous! Garr must hold back a lot against everyone after this fight.

after reaching the bridge where those bandits were, garr came on his wings chased the bandits away he wanted to challenge me again O_o .. after defeating him again he joined my party ..i never met stallion

It is after all, a Capcom game, and therefore it got a couple characters in there as cameos, puting in a fighting tournament into the game shouts "Come one, come all, to the anual tournament of champions." Seems like the proper channels were set in place to cameo Sakura and Chun Li. It's like Omake, or an easter egg placed into the game.
