He stopped his forward momentum at the point of contact. Could have easy continued through impact and taken him to the ground. Good sportsmanship, but great timing rather than a great hit. Look at flowers feet at 0:23-0:24. If that reciever had any weight on him, he would have bounced off and ran right past him. Didn't square his shoulders, didn't wrap up, poor takel. Though it was great timing & awareness.

Actually, the announcer IS quite correct! This hit could have turned out a LOT worse for the receiver...a hell of a lot worse. The corner/safety was well positioned and obviously quite strong but did not 'follow through' in a manner that suggests he wanted to lend greater kinetic energy to the tackle-he did NOT drive the tackle. It was an excellent hit and a show of good sportsmanship...no, I will have to give the anouncer a point and ask respectfully, that viewers review their posts. 'nuff said

I never played at this level but when you are upended like that its "jarring", end of story. Of course its "his job" as the commentator put it but that doesnt make it any less of a hit. @GuamTippedOver You have every right to an opinion. However, the tackle was almost a 'push'. The safety/corner could have decapitated the receiver, from that angle of contact...just killed him. If the safety had merely levelled his shoulders down around the receivers midsection, he could have really hurt him and the receiver was SOOO very out of position. No, no, I must respectfully insist, this was good sportsmanship/legit and quite merciful. It LOOKS worse than it is. 'nuff said.
