  • here is a great book to help you remember Kanji it's called Heisig -remembering The Kanji

  • I am terrible at kanji but very good at romaji.

  • @samboleh it's great that your good at romaji but don't get to attached to romaji. It's only real purpose is for helping Japanese people understand foreign words to learn English. Your next step should be learning katakana and hiragana. I hope you don't take my comment the wrong way i am only letting no this because I did the same thing and found out that romaji was basically useless they hardly every use it in japan.

  • messy room

  • @ueyfby31u4bgvfiu31bp :: no, we hang dry our laundry everyday. saves energy, better for the environment..

  • @shotamerican ok miss messy

  • Nice video. I wish Google would stop with the annoying "Date sexy Japanese women" pop-up adds though.

Just interested in the videos thanks...

  • @celloryoku :: WHAT they say that? the one that came up for me was febreeze, ahaha! wierd!

  • english is not my mother tongue ,, cute accent

  • Comment removed

  • u look so familiar

  • clean up that mess bitch

  • the first drama i saw was hana-kimi. its still my favorite. im planning to watch it the second time once im able to understand japanese (who knows how long thatll take though :P)

  • wanted to learn something.....but got couldnt.......coz i was stucked in your face...i mean ........wow ...cute *_*

  • live streaming japanses tv no subtitles google keyhole tv download it

  • Some good comedic dramas that are prolly my fav's are kisarazu cat's eye, manhattan love and change, hahah change has the least humor but yeah there all pretty good, kisarazu cat's eye is basically where you can pick up a ton of slangs, and manhattan love is pretty avarage, but funny great dramas

  • 超可愛いいい〜

  • Watching Japanese movies that matches your level with Japanese subtitles is the best. Much better than watching with no subs at all in my opinion. DVDs from Japan often have Japanese subs that you can switch on. If the movie is way too hard to understand, then I usally watch with English subs (if available) because if I can't understand anything, it will ruin the pleasure of watching the movie.

  • WOW! Maybe its because I haven't been to your channel in months but you look sooo grown up now. :) Soo different from your first video. You look very sophisticated, classy ...... veryyy ...upper-crust. lol

  • You watch Japanese shows on your computer? Well you can cover the subs up with something if you're desperate for shows but can only find shows with subs.

  • HAHAHAHAHHAHA, the ending was the absolute best. You just stopped because you were done. :D

  • Urgh I understand, Kanji is so so so difficult XD I only know about... 30-35 (then again I haven't been studying that long). It sucks 'cos I'm 16 and I can't afford to go to Japan just yet... so I don't really have anyone to practice on D:

  • complexities such as.....

  • if you're talking about the 'complex sentences' i mentioned, there is a huge difference between understanding a scene with someone trying to confess their feelings, to someone explaining a murder case. in other words, the murder case explanation requires longer structures and a lot more words i am not so familiar with. then i can look em up if i'm that boggled.

  • that was directed at crazyninjaful! my bad! :)

  • no s'ok! i get confused by the order of comments getting messed up all the time

  • It is so funny hearing people talk about learning Japanese. They spend more time talking about methods and textbooks than actually studying! I think this has to do with the fact that people are afraid of facing their fears because the complexities that Japanese has to offer will make most of us feel like NOTHING at some point.

The best way is to jump in the pool and start swimming. Your imagination is the only method you need.

  • Thanks for the links!

  • I am Sparticus!!!

  • I <3 Mysoju.

Have you seen Last Friends? It's a really good drama.

  • god last friends was crazy. i really liked innocent love, which has the same writer as last friends.

  • Keep it up!

I also love gimmeaflakeman's resource, it really is fantastic ^u^

  • SA, thanks for the mysoju link. I watched the two available episodes of Boku no Imouto and am already hooked.

I kind of tune out the sub titles as I'm watching, but if I'm really unclear on the context of what the characters are saying I just rewind so I can read them. Really convenient for me as I'm learning.

  • Carebears. lol

  • Good ending. lol I like dramacrazy for streaming and d-addicts for torrents. They usually have both raws, and subbed eps. What dramas are you watching? :)

  • Hahaha @ the ending and right before the cut.

I mostly use jisho. org, it comes from the same database as the Jim Breen one.

  • It's always weird when someone comes in while you are filming, isn't it?

Yeah, raw TV shows help a lot more than people generally give them credit for.

  • Hey girl! Looking good!

  • Very interesting! I loved the ending!

    漢字の勉強を少しずつ、頑張ってください!

  • hey that is gimmieabreakman's dog

i love watcing doramas its the only way i can get proper listning practise going on with the subs still of course lol

  • for some reason, the way you say "I can't" at 2:07 makes me laugh my ass off lol

  • jim breen is a good one. I also use rikai sometimes for my kanji.

    ganbatte!

  • Totally agree. Watching J-Dramas help a lot!

Currently I'm watching Kochira katsushika-ku kameari Koen-mae Hashutsujo & Karei naru spy. Check those out if you haven't already... =)
