I've had mine since february. custom from gateway with dual core 2 Quads, dual 540 gbs hd 7200 rpms, 9800gts 2 gbs ddr4 my system pwns all other systems for price i paid for it but have had severe issues with the graphics card and system compatibility since day i got it last laptop b4 this was the p6870 and same issues are reappearing in this model basically the systems are good for about 6 months of playing then the cards cook themselves so when u c flakes on ur screen send it in

yeah they are kind of the same most of the things are the same except this one s got a bigger screen and a better processor that's about it not much of a difference. I'd say you will get the same kind of experience with the P-7805u like you'd get with the one shown in the video. I d choose the P-7805u because it's a bit smaller in size, in other words>.> easy to move.

I bought one! Its a nice machive, simply run everything! Max resolution = 1440x900, why you guys need more? Maybe you can plug it on a VGA Monitor or HDMI video to set higher resolutions =D

laptop is a monster. I run crysis on it at high settings with about 50 fps. i run Combat arms (by nexon) on it at about 140 fps. Very stable and good $ at 1,149.0

I have the previous gateway fx laptop with the nvidia 8800 gts graphics card which only has half the memory of this laptop. i ran call of duty perfectly almost completely maxed out. i'm sure this laptop will run all the games you mentioned perfectly. my friends even say that my laptop makes games look as good and play as good as the ps3 and xbox360. also i ran dead space maxed out perfectly

Newegg says the res is 1440x900. I was recomended this computer from a few of my friends. And the dude seeing which computer to get. I thought I would never say this but get the Gateway FX. Alienware looks cool but there customer service sucks and they are WAY over priced. Any serious gamer would know that. Anyways, I'm picking one of these up for school. Both cost $1400.00, but the Gateway has a 2.4 GHz vs. the 2.26 GHZ in the Alienware... Gateway also has 4GB RAM vs 3GB in the Alienware...

but... Alienware is a more trusted gaming brand, and lots of people recommend it.

Yeah, well, it's refurb. I've had bad expieriences with refurbished products, especially from Gateway... like my laptop from 2006 died in 2 months because TigerDirect didn't 100% check it out. I'd rather pay the full price and get a laptop that lasts instead of pay a fraction of the cost but have the laptop not last

If your a power user, yes you will notice the diffrence visually. The screen will have alot of real estate to work on and colors and images become sharper and defined. You can clock a P8400 to become as fast as a P8600, but you can also clock a P8600 to be faster than a T9550

There are a few P-7805u laptops that have a 1920 x 1200 WUXGA+ screen. I happen to be one of the lucky ones to have one of these rare finds. There are also a few of the 7805u laptops that come with a T9600 2.8 GHZ CPU upgrade & Raid 0 configured hard drives.
