  • I love Morgan...but how obvious is it that he's reading a script? xP

  • I wish he would play on the toms more. This kinda wasted my time.

  • this is dumb, he's just reading a script.

  • Im looking to get a vision and I play mostly rock music at an intermediate level does anybody know which one I should get? just the vx or the vbx, vbx, vbl?

  • @Zakx2896 Depends. VBX has a 6/8 shell composition (6-ply on the racks and 8-ply in the floor toms and bass.) VBL has all 6-ply and as far as I now the finish is different (I don't believe VBX has a laquer finish, but I could be wrong.) Do some research and you'll find what you need. I know for a fact though that I am going with VBL.

  • @XxStrongDrums1996xX

but what is the benefit of 6 ply all round over a 6/8 shell composition?

  • @Zakx2896 Personally, I think that there isn't any benefit. I think that they should've kept the 6/8 ply composition. It adds a little more depth and attack to the kick drum and floor toms.

  • way to kill me watching a GREAT drummer, thanks whoever decided the camera frame timing

  • @drummer4life54 iits not his sig snare, t's the sensitone snare drum. It comes with most of the pearl sets. There are vision snares but you have to buy them separately.

  • in its category...

  • From my experience with Pearl, no drum company beats their level of quality. They are simply the best. Their hardware rules, It's sturdy and has high end features. Pearl is what I started with and will continue to use.

  • I got this set for christmas! So good!

  • me too ^

  • is this like a beginner drum kit? or do pros use it as well?

  • @ilovesabian1n1 its the entry level drum set from pearl and pros normally dont use it but in some occasions they do see watch?v=b-KESMvx9Ok proof that entry level doesnt always sound as cheap as people think =)

  • @ilovesabian1n1 its intermediate but i guess considered more as an entry, but my ban class has it and it still has the stock heads and it sounds beautiful, and the snare really is sensitive, just a little too much ring

  • well im sold. tho i dont like the snare much.

  • @IDontDoDrumCovers thats not even the vision snare drum, its probably his sig snare

  • @drummer4life54 Noit is the SensiTone snare.

  • Morgan Rose god on drums ^^

  • pearl is the best.. without a doubt

  • @HeyImJonah I love the Pear Export Series even though they discontinued them. But the Vision drumset is actually the Export Series. They just changed the name and upgraded the shells. But the Export Series was not really discontinued they just changed the name and made the drums more durable.

  • carnt wait till i get mine

  • Wow, its like the camera has tourettes.

  • I have the Vision Maple, it's the baddest kit Ive ever played on/purchased, and Ive played high end DW's, OCDP's, you CANNOT beat the price. The toms are loud and warm and simple to tune, the kick drum litterally shakes my walls in the guest bedroom.

  • damn camera

  • @PearlDrumCorp do you think the masters mcx drums are better or the visions??

  • ONCE YOU GO PEARL, you never go back

  • u can get a vision set uhhh vsx or vx with 900 series hardware great snare and many different kits of your choice like 3 tom toms or 2 floor toms whatever u know plus good scratch that great sibian symbol kit with stool and some extra stuff for around 1500 best deal on the market no question!!!!!!!!!

  • fuck yeah I love my vision set.. bought some evans heads including the emad bass drum set and got me some ZHT cymbals and I can't complain! (:

  • The Visions came out a day after I bought my Export lol.

  • I love my Pearl Vision kit :D No regrets buying this :P

  • how much would it cost to get a all maple all black 20x18 bass drum,10x7 rack tom,12x8 rack tom,14x12 floor tom,16x14 floor tom.

  • @conman1136 I would imagine around $1,300...but I could be wrong...

  • his approach to rudiments is unique among other drummers. im not a particularly big fan of the music morgan and his band play but i do admire him for his technique. that snare drum sounds RUDE.

  • hey guys .. plz reco me a good set of drums .. Vision VBX or Tama superstar ?? .. if isnt both of these im going for the superstar custom..wats the diffrence between the custom and the standard anywaY??

  • its not that he reads that i decide of how they sound not on what pearl and Morgan Rose says they are

i would really like to but them i wanted VBX but I could use some advices

  • price?

  • like 1500bucks maybe cheaper if you buy at guitar center

  • depends on what model. vx is 700

some other 500 and a diffrent one is 950

  • its a Visions VBX Ruby Fade 6pc

  • i just now realized why i cant find a used set of these anywhere. no one wants to return them.

  • really cool

  • this drum set BAD ASS when i bought it i told myself this would be nice set when i played it i realized i was wrong, this et is awesome, the best thing of this set is the sound of the toms, it sounds like it doesnt need to be mixed. BELIEVE THIS IS THE BEST SET YOU CAN BUY

  • @xxxnityninexxx, price?

  • what do u recomend to me a pearl vision or a sonor force 2007 ? i play rock metal punk and a little jazz urgent

  • im planning on getting an 8piece vision set, but ppl are telling me that Mapex is better. is this true???

  • It's a matter of preference. I've tried both mapex and pearl. And mapex are great drums, but personally I like pearl better. For their hardware and their sound.

  • yes, drummabioe. I agree with fakssaks. You can't really go wrong either way. But go Pearl!!! and Pearl is probs beta

  • I am a proud owner of these drums! :) Got rid of my Network set

  • they keep changing the camera angle, it annoys me

  • 2 questions, how good are the stock skins on these drums, and what are the prices for them, from lowest to highest

  • this isn't the A custom hihat with the wavy bottom, right? anyone know which one it is?

  • mastersound i believe

  • mastersounds are waved too :/ :)

  • If you use the IMS mount, like on these drums, you should remove it every time you break down your kit and mount it on a different spot on your tom, cuase it tends to bend the hoop if you leave it in the same spot for very long, especially if you hit really hard when you play.

  • Hahaha hell yeah, I just got my Vision VSX to replace my really crummy starter kit, they sound AWSOME!

  • morgan is a cool guy!

  • i have the original pearl vision (vlx) as shown in the vid, if you want, check out my vids of it on my page!

  • mines ivory , its pretty shitty so iim changin it to like silver glitter or some other shit. ZooYorkUK: id recommend

something like remos probly'd go with coated emperors just cuzz they last long and sound pretty good, or black suede, they might be expensive but they really have a distinct tone to them.

  • Thanks a lot :).

  • wats better the Reference drums, or the vision?

Disturbed, Bullet for my valentine, and Slipknot all use reference.

  • vision for sure, but visions are still amazing

  • srry i meant reference for sure but visions are amazing lol

  • well obviously the reference is better but reference drums run into the thousands, the vision usually within 1000bucks (american)

  • reference is their high(er) end series

  • well it depends in the sound, references are blended shells were as visions(exclude the vx and vsx) are either 100% birch or 100% maple. quality wise Reference > Visions if you want Reference quality birch or maple go to the masters premium drums.

  • I feel like he's showing off the A customs more than the set

  • agree

  • ive got the concord fade :)

  • same :)

  • i have a pearl vbx and it sounds really good. the only thing that i found to be bad about my kit is that the heads it comes with sound like shit!! (at least for my tuning preferences, which is fairly tight.)

I found that the heads tend to resonate a little too much for my taste, especially the floor tom, I think I can take dumps that sound better than that. so what I would recommend for anyone that buys a pearl vision is to order new heads at the same time you buy the drumset.

  • Thanks for the advice I'm getting one soon. What heads would you recommend?

  • Evans

  • mine dont sound that good

  • nobodies does...

  • get new heads

  • i have pearl vbx and i love this kit.......

  • very good =]

i have a Pearl Export Series myself =]

therea a good comparison between the export series and the vision series =]

all the drums sound great on the export as do the vision =]

dont know what series id prefer =]

    the vision sounds fantastic =]

    but so does export ........

check out my drums vids for a demo of a Pearl Export Series =P

  • I have the VX 7-piece in jet black, best kit on the market for the money in my opinion.

  • how much??? the whole set..

  • That snare sounds awesome, but is also very compressed in the mix. The sensitone is not a great snare unless finely tuned to perfection. Iv'e had one...

  • thats the only snare i would actually want.

cheap and professional. what more could you ask for!!

  • Well there are better cheap snares on the market and i could give you some ideas.

  • carry on, i would love to hear what you have to say. :)

  • What are you trying to say dude.

You wont out smart me in this way. NO WAY!!!

  • wtf, im just looking for a good cheap snare....jeeeeez

  • exactly !!

and on top of that .. it sounds fantastic !

    =P

  • yeah your never gonna get a non miced kit to sound like a miced kit

  • can't really hear how the drums are cuz he hardly even plays on the toms.

  • agree .

  • How to play the same as Morgan Rose at 3:34?

  • its simple, its quads over doubles, Snare x4 Bass x2 and so on .

  • no way it sounds that good

  • What finish does those drums have what Morgan plays in this video?

  • that finish was discontinued

  • Vision vx Metallic orange ! !,,!

  • is that color avaliable for visions?

what line of visions is it for??

  • i think it's the pearl vbx

  • Is he playing on the vbx and also what heads is he using, I have a vbx that sounds nothing like that help me please

  • those look like the maple ones, vmx.

he also has his kit miced which also might make a difference. to make drums sound good get good heads and tune them

  • dude try remo black suede on the toms and remo ambassador coated on snare... it sounds really good.

  • after he says, these drums are awesome, he barely plays his toms! which are...The Drums!!!

  • What are the best heads to use on a Pearl Vsx kit?

  • evans

  • depends on what you like and what sound you want

  • emad 1 on bass pedal

  • This kit is amazing!

Even though you can tell he's reading a script, everything he's saying is the truth

  • Will you give me the name of your drumset please?

    He sounds AWESOME

  • that snare sounds disgusting. But the rest of it is sex

  • i though it sounded awsome, but it probably sounds nothing like it in person...

  • the snare is the best part man, i have it and it is amazing

  • touche! i havent got it, but i hit one a few times in the perth drum shop with a stock head on it and it sounded great! nice pop.

id use it as a back up snare since i already got the joey one tho.

  • i have this kit and i love it but the only thing that i dislike is that the floor tom is mounted on my ride..... the tone and sound of it is perfect, but it does fall off on occasion (rarely). is there any way to alter my floor tom so thats its on the floor? (it is relatively small not much bigger then my hi tom so i dont think that legs are an option.

  • make sure that a leg on the stand is directly underneath the tom to stop it falling forward, and try to make the legs as wide as possible to stop it toppling over the side.

    just a suggestion!

  • i have this kit too, i have the vbx. i love it so much, makes a real difference when you put some new heads on it and get it in a good room for sound.. that sensitone is the best sounding snare i have ever had,i lvoe it its sound is unique..

  • no you got a fusion set, i dont think you can add legs

you can buy a new floor tom at drumsonsale(.)com and sell the old one on youtube

  • hey im getting this one but wich 6 piece should i get maple or birch what is vision better at maple or birch

  • I got Birch but I will prefer Maple

  • yeah i was gettin maple anyway lol and do u know were to get a maple 13x10 vison glacier white tom or same thing except in smaller then 10x8

  • Not really

  • Well,

VMX (maple) is made in taiwan, with all the master series, reference, etc.

VBX (birch) is made in china, with all the lower class drums

Dont get me wrong, birch is still great.

But Birch has a punchier, faster attack.

Maple is a warmer sound, and all VMX sets come with a matching maple snare.

but the steel vision sensitone snare is good.

    They are both great kits.

    especially for the money.

  • ty wow i didnt know that about da manufactring stuff cool im probabbly gonna go wit da vmx not cuase well their made in taiwan but ive heard the sound and it sounds so close to what the professionals use and i mean really close

  • get vbx, the maple is way damper than the birch.. the birch has way better sound and is better for recording

  • get the pearl vsx limited addition.

  • you guys are all assholes i have hade these drums since december and they are a lot better then perefetional drums i have have played get a good tuning a evans eq pad and emad and you are ready to go what morgan just showed you is the real thing.

  • I just testes this drums today and the sound was amazing for the actual price.

    10/10.

  • "I just testes this drums today"

    Sounds painfull.

  • Hahaha... I meant 'tested'

  • I know I just had to say it.

  • yea morgan definatly has that running through a mixer and a P.A.

  • Actually those pearl drums have about $10,000 of equalization and compression on them. They are good but sound nothing like that in real life.

  • ....thats exactly what i was saying....lol

  • i got me a strata blue, i freakin love it! =P

  • less talk more drumming :P

  • oohh sounds amaaaaazing

  • just got one in strata black. looks and sounds amazing. all birch! :D

  • My name is Morgan and I drum!

Has anyone ever heard him talk? lol XD

  • lov the sensitone snare

  • the one with visions is fake, its 8 lugged and 14 by 5.5. the real ones are all 10 lugged, and either 14 by 5, or 14 by 6.5

  • They still sound AMAZING

  • I like the tone of the export better, but I really want the peral unilock. The thing is my drums have all black hardware. Anyone know where I can get pearl unilock in all black?

  • I have this kit aswell, the 5 kit Vision VBX (birch) and it sounds awesome, recommended!

btw i got Concord finish with them, its just hot!

  • I want a Vision series kit, and I want it in Ruby Fade!

  • hell yeah ruby fade or amber fade are the best finishes on this series

  • My student just got a ruby fade, it's gorgeous! I have a vid of me playing it on my profile, check it out. These drums sound so good for their price.

  • sounds pretty good on here.

  • hey, does anybody own this set? i'm thinking of buying it and wondering what someone who owns it thinks of the set.

  • i do, its great...

    VSX 5 Pieces - 18" Crash and 14" Hi-hat

  • well i own the special pearl vxs visions kit its the Pinstripe one it was jsut realesed a think like a weak ago and its amazing the sound is the best for the price vision is the way to go man trust me

  • I Have Them

  • tune both heads fairly low for a metal sound

  • also for the kick a head like the aquarian regulator resonant head, and the drums are also miced in this vid if you're looking for a sound like it, so that could affect it. The visions come with 2 ply heads so you shouldnt need dampeners.

  • you can buy some gelè (moongel) or just use duct tape and put on your drums sounds really good!

  • Is the set shown on this vid the VMX?

  • Probably get a new head. The metal sound I reccomend Remo Powersonic, Evans EMAD 2, and Aquiarian super kick 2. Also for the echoes put a pillow or blanket in there. If you want it even more damp port your front head. If you want the loud sticky atack, with the head get a click pad. The ones with metal inside.

  • try some pillows and/or a blanket inside, this give a nice thud sound.

  • i was thinking of upgrading my kit from a pearl EX export to a vision set. yay? or nay?

should i go for something higher?

  • i've benn playing for 2 months, should i buy this kit?? or it´s just too much for me?

  • no you shouldnt. definitely start out with something cheaper so if you realise its not your thing than you dont have to worry about wastin so much money. you should definitely try to find yourself a good pearl export series i know the kind i have is discontinued but i dont think all export brands have been discontinued. there around 700$ for a 5 piece kit and they sound great and look nice. its the perfect series to start out on

  • no man. ive been playing for five years and im still beating the shit out of my forum. i desperately need a new kit but the only issue for me is money.

  • try forum series.

  • why, the forum series is for beginners

i have a forum and i tried a vision series out at a drum shop. they sounded much better

  • if u can afford them, buy them. u could probably have these for 3-4 years before upgrading

  • wats the best vision kit u can get?

  • soz. when i say hi-hat pedal, i mean hi-hat stand

  • the hardware is the bass drum pedal, the hi-hat pedal, the snare drum stabd, and two cymbal stands. it doesnt come with any cymbals. you have to buy them seperately. i recomend sabian b8 or zildjian zht if your just beginning drums

  • ok cool thanks for the info. How do those cymbals sound? Even though i am a beginner, I dont want cymbals that sound like shit

  • dude, those are A Customs, if your a beginner, you don't deserve them

  • zht pro pack come with a pair of 14 inch hihats a 16 inch crash and a 20 inch ride. They should sound good. I say it's worth the price for that set of cymbals

  • zht pro pack come with a pair of 14 inch hihats a 16 inch crash and a 20 inch ride. They should sound good. I say it's worth the price for that set of cymbals

  • this is probably a stupid question but i want to get into drumming and someone recommended I look at the vision series as a beginner set. I read that all hardware is included. What does that mean? Does it come with any cymbals?

  • I definitely recommend these drums to anybody. I just bought them, and they are fantastic. The sound is great.

  • call these stupid questions, but two things....

    1. is the vision series a combonation of the session and export series?

2.why did they discontinue the session and export?

    someone please comment me back

  • I think they have quality of Session and prize of export, they replaced these two levels with this for intermediate drummers and students..
