rob bironas is the best kicker ever. think about all the greats (morten anderson, gary andersen, jason elam and matt stover) and take their field goal percentage. none of them guys hit long field goals like rob bironas does. he is a guy who is a guarantee from inside 55 yards. this season he is 7/7 from 40-49 yards and 2/2 from 50 plus yards. he is 22/23 overall. If I could have any kicker I take rob bironas.

@mechamike702 Just because Tom Demsey kicked the longest field goal in history (tied by Jason Elam) doesn't mean he is the best kicker in NFL history. He kicked ten years and only had one year where he was 100% on PATs (1973). His percentage on field goals is 61.6% (159/258).

People have to remember that even though Elam and Dempsey hold the record for furthest in game kicks, almost every professional kicker can kick that far, they just never get the opportunity.

Helium actually makes the ball travel less far, causes the ball to be lighter, and therefore has less mass and momentum, so it's likely to get blown off course or stopped short due to the wind whereas a regular air filled ball won't. Mythbusters proved it, youtube it.

It's fake because look how easy the kicker is kicking. Jason Elam, I think that's his name, almost fell to the ground when he kicked the longest field goal in NFL History. The video quality is also something to suspect. Telling me NOBODY could afford a better camera with the paychecks they are making? And it could be real but that doesn't even seem to be really 110 yards. The ball would've been in the air longer. Could've repositioned the goal or something, on a shorter field or something.
