  • 100% well done, im a conga player all my life, my hair stand up when i see this girls play with so much passion, please enjoy, and don't let the negative afect us. there may be pricioners in cuba, but as long as there is hope, the spirit will be free.

  • @edgarc1 I am agree with you my friend the body may be is pricioners but the spirit is free,, many people are free like in the usa but the spirit are pricioners

  • It's time to remove that embargo....

  • @bugsycline i am agree with you

  • I love this video. It reminds me of my own house growing up we had these jam sessions every weekend in Boston. My mother never forgot her Cuban roots and she made sure we knew it. This music is embedded in me no matter where I go. When I here a conga drum I feel at home. Thank you for this video :)

  • QUE VIVA CUBA SENORES!!!

  • pero se olvidaron de la danza...

  • I LOVE YOU!

  • First of all his is an awesome video. Jakito88 is correct! This is Afrocuban Rumba. Yes it is folkloric, african derived, but it is not religious nor is it Santeria. Check your facts. It is rumba a secular jam session not a religious ceremony!

  • One has to realize although this drumming is Not religious in a western sense. But all Afro Caribbean percussion is spiritual by it nature you can not separate this because it is ancestral! This is why in American drumming was taken away from slaves to convert them into Christianity. "What is rumba" seems to always be a hot debate. Nice video thanks

  • cool

  • Why analyze the beauty of this. Who cares if it's religous or not it's raw talent that is developed from within. This is women of Cuba having a Jam session. I wish I was there jamming with them.

  • This is not Santeria, nor is it a religious ceremony . This is a Rumba that takes place every Sunday at Callejon de Hamel in Barrio Cayo Hueso centro Havana. Animas y Arimburo

  • yes this is a religous ceremony ,they are singing and dancing to the african gods

  • No, no they are just dancing and singing.

  • This is really beautiful!

Danivloger, do you know anything more about this video? Is it a religoius ceremony or something?

    Thanks for sharing it!

  • Yes it is a Religion called Santeria

  • What does this clip have to do with Socialism?

  • Exactly!Cuba should not be a happy place.

  • @danivloger but its a happy place,, is independent what mean for you to be happy we cuban we are happy in our way and proud to be cuba

  • they get down on dem drums sounds tight

  • i thought all cubans were skinny due to Castro and the blockade "starving" them. some of these sistas look well-fed :)

  • @adeart72 , the blockade is from the U.S, but other latin american countries still trade with cuba. especially countries who dont agree with the U.S like many in europe and asia.

  • awesome... community roots music it's best...

  • its good to see that the women can play the drums too you go girls!
