This magnificent performer was so versatile. His unique style makes any song sound wonderfully sexy and romantic. I am devastated that he died so young, so loved by so many and yet fairly unknown. Rest in Peace dear Robert.
Robert Palmer was so much more than a suit and a handsome face. Here he is at his best, relaxed and in great voice! "Until the next time, good night...".
I saw him in Ottawa, ON, Canada in '87-'88 at the congress Center-Slick suits and 'tings...he was great. Really an artist doing his own thing. Guaranteed to stay in tune! No guitar will ever Virtually Guarantee that!
This is back in the days when some performers didn't rely on gimmics and outrageous behavior to give a good show. Some performers can give a good performance without pulling an "Adam Lambert" or some crazy thing. That is what I liked about Robert is that he could give a good performance without acting crazy and getting himself banned on TV.
Why did'nt they wait until the end to run the credits? Instead they ran them right over his face at the beginning?????? But, I still love anything that has to do with Robert Palmer.

He performed this long before putting it on Ridin' High? Didn't know that.
He actually performs this better on the video than he does on the Ridin' High album, which is surprising to me because I like the studio version.
