  • For a one time character, the Demi-Hulk was really great! Ric, you are the perfect combination of Bill and Lou.

  • you know what, bill Bixby was scarier than Lou Ferigno!

  • @skinwalkerxxx Agreed!

  • (loud gasp) What's wrong? WHAT'S WRONG?!!! AAH

  • This was one of my favorite episodes of all time. The makeup was fantastic, Ric really looked like a cross of Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno.

  • What is the name of the big breasted lady in this scene ?

  • the incredible hulk is awsome because it HAS A PLOT AND IT IS INTERESTING. THERE ARE ONLY A HANDFUL OF SHOWS LEFT THAT HAVE THAT!

  • i have all 5 seasons on dvd which season/episode is this from?

  • @darthbriboy season 4, first episode.

  • Samson(having put Banner under hypnosis) says, "You're probably wondering why I've gathered you all here, today...."

  • I have those Mr.Fixit comics(Peter David RULES! ) Read the comics that take place before Hulk joins the Panthion. Some WAY cool psychological examinations by Doc Samson reveals new light about Hulk's origins & motivations before & after Mr.Fixit. One Scene showz a mentally imagined room. Sampson in an easy chair, his feet up, fingers steepled. Grey Hulk on an ottoman, punny Banner in a table-chair & Green HulK sitting on floor. All look uncomfortable in each others presence. Samson says, --MORE

  • Holy crap, Ric. I just googled this episode and saw some of your photos, and even without makeup you look like Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno got together and had a kid ;-)

  • @logik316 They did good on this one.

  • it would be cool if his skin turned grey, so it would be like in the comics.

  • @evans0305

Yeah, that would've been good. But this show was made back in the 70's, I don't think the comics had the gray "Mr. Fixit" version of the Hulk yet.

  • Hi Ric! I met Lou Ferrigno and Superstar Billy Graham 2 years ago in NJ at the Chiller Theater expo. I thought you were supposed to be on the card there but you weren't there. Was hoping to meet you too. I first talked to Lou for about 30 minutes, great guy. I thought it was funny Richad Keil was right across from him.

  • It's Bill in the closeups and Ric in the body shots.

  • Kenny did a really great job here.... Bix is awesome of course and for no CGI in '80 they really made Ric look just like a muscular Bix/half hulk. The cutting/editing was excellent in that just face shots were Bix but body shots were clearly Ric. Ric looked exactly like a mixture of Bix and Lou here. So convincing, marvelous. There are several other shots of Ric in the episode as well and he was perfect for the role. I wonder how they got Ric's hair so close to Bix's and how long it took.

  • This is one of my favorite episodes. In the pilot, it was established that when the hulk-out occurs, Banner starts to feel strong, but his intelligence decreases; it's why The Hulk never spoke in the series. In the episode, when Banner approached the gamma- radiated meteor, it made him feel very sick, but he didn't change. When he got stung by the bees, and hulked out, his gamma cells accelerated the transformation, and it led to him being stuck halfway. But the way it was resolved was kinda me

  • When he crosses his fingers, Erik Bana did the same thing in his movie. I guess that's an homage.

  • The Demi Hulk voice sounds frightened except when he gets angry.

  • Classic scene from one of the best eps ever.

  • One of the highlight episodes of the series.

  • The closeups are of Bill Bixby, but the shots from a distance look like Lou Ferrigno, but I know it's Ric Drasin.

  • what episode was this called?

  • @safffarm Prometheus, the pilot episode from season 4.

  • I used to be deathly afraid of the Hulk as a young kid, but I swore I remembered his not changing back all the way. Thought I imagined it but I caught the first part on a Retro network recently. So glad I didn't make it up. Wish I would have caught Part 2 to see what happened. Sure I could find out somewhere.

  • Yo ví este episodio y sentí un cierto terror y compasión por Banner, buen acierto de incluir a Ric Drasin en escenas donde se debía mostrar la musculatura, gran clasico de la serie y una de mis favoritas.

  • Ric Drasin, "Prometheus, Parts I and II", are among my favorite Hulk episodes. The studio missed out on a golden opportunity to introduce the Demi-Hulk as a new character. A new television show could have been built around the Demi-Hulk. The advantage of the demi-hulk was that most of David Bruce Banner's personality had re-emerged and could speak and think, unlike the more animalistic Hulk. The demi-hulk still experienced anger and it seems not all of Banner's intellect re-emerged though.

  • Is this Prometheus? I remember it so well as a kid, the Hulk getting stuck trying to change back - did they overdub Bixby voice? Even now it looks like Bixyb has been bodybuilding for several years - what a great job to make you look like him!

  • Ric Drasin was in this scene?.....Looks like bill Bixby to me....

Why did he not revert back to Banner entirely?....

  • @Dvsconceptz That's the whole purpose to look like Bill Bixby. They even took me to his hair stylist so that I'd look like him...

  • @ricdrasin

    Good effin job Ric....

Wow you even fooled me and I am an avid Incredible hulk fan....

I was going to say sheesh Bixby looks kinda bulky but Idk...

Event he voice is close enough to fool one of Bixby's greatest fans.....

  • @ricdrasin Ric, I just wanted to let you know you were a big part of my childhood. I always wondered who the person was playing Banner in half transformation from this episode, hence why I found this clip on youtube. I was addicted to this show when I was a kid in the late 70's/early 80's and Promethesus was one of the best episodes of the Incredible Hulk. You're awesome Ric.

  • @ricdrasin You did a great job, Mr. D. This is one of my all-time favorite episodes. Originally, I thought they just made up Lou to look smaller, but I'm seeing the real difference here. Good job, my dude, Good job. Thanks for being part of the legend for all us 80's kids

  • @Dvsconceptz the meteor they were talking about was radioactive, it caused problems with the gamma radiation in Banner. he was not as smart as Banner not quite as strong as the Hulk. great episode!!

  • The extreme closeups were Bixby, I THINK.. All other shots were Mr. Drasin.

  • @Dvsconceptz Well, the reason he didn't revert back is there was a meteorite that landed nearby that was emitting gamma radiation and due to Banner's exposure to the additional radiation was unable to fully revert back from the Hulk state and that's why he was irrational and still had the Hulk's strength.

  • @Dvsconceptz I think the reason, as I recall, that he didn't revert was exposure to a meteorite and the radiation it gave off...

  • I'm sorry I was looking for nonperscripion lenes

  • @MCELVAINE6996 YOU can get those anywhere. These are the real deal from the show. I wouldn't sell them.

  • @ricdrasin its cool and I'm sorry for wasting your time..I thought they would be way cheaper than that

  • I would like to have the contacts if you are willing to sell them

  • @MCELVAINE6996 Those are collector's items and worth a lot of money!! What's your offer?

    Ric

  • @ricdrasin about 50 - 100

  • @MCELVAINE6996 YOU NEVER GOT BACK TO ME. 50 or 100 what?

  • @ricdrasin 50 or 100 bucks?? Not even close to what they're worth. I doubt there are any that exist anywhere other than these.

    Ric

  • @ricdrasin ok how about 50

  • @MCELVAINE6996

Ok let me clarify this. These are one of a kind lens from the HULK and the only pair that I know of with my prescription in them. They were $800.00 at that time. Value today is at least $40,000 to $60,000 from other sources. I don't think we're on the same page.

    Ric

  • This is one of my Favorite Hulk episodes ever..Brilliant idea on having David be half way turned into the Hulk and himself..The Demi Hulk is Ric Drasin from far shots.and he had the right built for it also..Bill Bixby was such a great actor..the emotions he put into his work is truly Worth watching..Rest in peace Bill,You will always be missed..

  • I always remember watching this episode when it first aired, it gave me chills. One thing that bothered me makeup wise, in the faraway views, The Demi hulks hairstyle was different then the closeup of Bixbys. But back then, I was just a kid.

  • Okay, we know Bixby is David, and Ferrigno is Hulk...but the "half Hulk/half David" character, LOOKS like David, but has the body of Ferrigno. Anybody know how they did that? I mean, this was before the high-tech digital stuff.

  • @MxTjones80. It's actually body builder, wrestler, actor Ric Drasin who posted this video. It's also explained in the directors DVD commentary. With the make up, features and build, he could kind of pass for both. I think they did a good job back then with the limited technology. I too was confused all these years until I learned how it was done.

  • Oh, ok. Thanks! Didn't know this. Wow!

  • Remind me Ricl. that when we have coffe not to say to much at all...hahaha

  • I won't hurt you, but I reserve the right to trash your kitchen.

  • Great Episode

  • @TheBryan61383 yea and a freaky one too lol

  • Thank you for the nice comment. 30 years goes fast. Ouch. Just turned 65 on sunday

  • Hello Ric. Prometheus is one of the best and memorable episodes of the entire 5 season run. It would of been cool if they had asked you to portray Frye's evil Hulk in the episode The First. Dick Durock was great height wise but skinny and non-muscular

  • @ricdrasin 65 isn't a lot, respectable citizen. Just look at Vinnie Mac. My own dad is 62. Keep up with the good work.

  • RIC! it is nice to see you post this and to hear comments from the man that made it possible. Hard to believe this is coming up on almost 3O years ago. Got the whole series on dvd and this my fav episode from the 4th season.

    Kudos to you man.

  • Yeah, they're hard lens. Uncomfortable. They used liquid novicaine drops to ease them

  • Thanks, it was a fun show to work on. I still have the eye contacts from the show......

  • Ric, were the contacts as uncomfortable for you as they were for Bill Bixby?

  • Man... I remember this episode like yesterday. I didn't know it was you, Ric. Awesome!

  • Hey Ric! I don't know if you remember me but I had asked in email about getting your autograph. I just never had the time! This had to be almost 10 years ago or something. lol. Sorry about that! Anyway, check out my video response, I think you'll like it.

  • Hello, Mr. Drasin. I grew up watching The Incredible Hulk and I particularly remember the episode "Prometheus", I didn't know it was you that played the demi hulk until recently, good work in the episode. I seen your pic and you look a little like "Superstar" Billy Graham. I've been a wrestling fan for many years although I never got to watch wrestling back when Graham, Pedro Morales, Sammartino and others were wrestling then. Just wanted to say Hello, thanks, Mr. Drasin.

  • However when I went somewhere else, Oregon, Minnesota,Florida, the favors were returned to me and their locals did jobs for me. That's how the business worked. But I do think the LeBells, missed the boat with me. I was the ONLY wrestler/bodybuilder who was a good 'face' that they could've pushed. Mike LeBell was very stubborn and clueless.

  • Mike may be stubborn but never clueless.

  • Reason being is that we had regular jobs in LA, such as I was doing films and commercial so I didn't depend on wrestling for a living like the out of town wrestlers.

  • I explained to someone lately that when you are a local wrestler back in those days, it was your job to put over talent that came to make a living.

  • Ric i just wanna say thanks for posting this and its great to meet you(Even if it is online).I grew up in a suburb of Los Angeles so i remember you very well as a wrestler.Your job was to make the #1 heel at the time look good-which you did.I guess we could have called you a "competitive jobber"-you gave a good showing of yourself but ultimately, you would put the other guy over.Couldnt Mike LeBell or Jules Strongbow or Aileen Eaton given YOU a bigger push?I think they missed out on that.

  • kool video, looks kinda scary since he didnt change back to normal completely. what episode is that? season?

  • Hi Ric. Thanks for allowing me to post my Demi Hulk compilation video as a video response here. I went ahead and made a 2 part video with every scene that the Demi-Hulk was in. Thanks and take care. Hope to meet you someday.

  • I think while Ric was doing his scenes...Bill and Lou were working on the next episode

  • Probably filming other Parts.

  • is that julie from the death in the family or someone else

  • yes---played by laurie prange

  • ric drasin? wasn't he a wrestler? or a bodybuilder?

  • Ric thank you for posting this. This by far was my favorite episode in the entire series and it was great to see you as the Demi Hulk. What perfect way to to see this footage uploaded by the Demi Hulk himself. 5 star classic!!

  • Ric, i have to concur with my man TrashTalkinJuicers-my favorite episode in the series. How awesome to have the Demi-Hulk himself post this.Job well done,Ric!!!!

  • i can't really understand what he's saying.

  • God I miss Bill Bixby! A man of enormous talent-no pun intended! He was one hell of an actor and this is another scene that proves it yet again. You were an inspiration Bill and you were taken from us too soon. Hope you are in peace. You are missed.

  • I couldn't agree more...RIP Mr. Bixby.

  • @hawkhandsaw Sorry for the necropost, but had to respond. Yeah, he should have won an oscar for this episode as well as the scene from The First part 2 where he is in tears screaming NO!!!

  • cortorboy-Bixby in closeups and Drasin from a distance. Watch the season 4 dvd with commentary.

  • Only the close-up shots were Bixby, the wide shots were Drasin.

  • no it's lou ferrigno in the far away shots look closely

  • Not hardly pal. It is Drasin. Lou is not built that small. Bigger than Bix and smaller than Lou.

  • And just for the record.....The man in question is the same one who posted the video. Take a look at the owner's profile.

  • It's Bixby in the close up shots but it is actually Ric Drasin in the wide shots(Half Banner/Half Hulk)

  • its not a middle man, its bixby on the closeups and panned out its lou ferigno out of makeup

  • No.....That is a fellow bodybuilder friend of Lou Ferrigno who played the role of the 'Demi-Hulk'(stuck transformation). His name is Ric Drasin.

  • TakeBushout-No it is a middleman Ric Drasin.

  • its ferigno

  • I'll make it simple for you.....the background shot was Drasin....you know....The same the same man that posted this video.........see for yourself.

  • this episode is called prometheus. it was a 2 part episode. david got stuck midtransformation when he went to close to a fallen metor. was a good episode

  • that was one of my favorite episodes of the incredible hulk! can you post the whole episode, and the one with 2 hulks?

  • wow watching a youtube video recorded for youtube

  • I remembered there's an episode where there's two Hulk, the other was ugly...

  • that episode porki, is called "the first"

about a man who was a hulk, not as big, but cured it

  • this was a good episode. so who was the guy that played the middle david and hulk.

  • bixby

  • That is a fellow bodybuilder friend of Lou Ferrigno who played the role of the 'Demi-Hulk'(stuck transformation). His name is Ric Drasin.

  • One of the best eps of the series!

  • I know "Prometheus", it's a highlight of the series.

  • Something to do with radiation from an asteroid that crashed in this particular episode. You can see it

  • Why was he stuck halfway?

  • Banner got to close to a gamma radiated meteor that crashed in the mountains and after changing from a bee attack. Could not come back all the way. Season 4 premier episode two-parter (Prometheus)

  • Ric was great for the middle person between Hulk and David.

    Awesome job Ric!
