It's not unusual for birds to dislike being touched. They're not dogs or cats - it's quite unnatural for them. Stewie didn't let me touch him for years. It requires an enormous amount of trust... and the way you're "petting" your bird matters too. (Don't touch below the neck area.) Work on building trust BEFORE you try to touch your bird.

A sun conure is typically 12 inches long from head to tip of tail (almost half of that is tail). They weigh from 100-115grams. Yes, conures are parrots. They should be fed a combination of high-quality pellets, fresh veggies, fruits, legumes. Only a small part of their diet should be seeds (except sprouted). Toys should be whatever size your particular parrot enjoys. You can google this info.
