This is very high quality stuff. A couple of things. I think if you can find an alternative to using greenscreen you should use it. Greenscreen, unless it is justified because there's no realistic alternative...like a space ship scene or something..always breaks the illusion of reality and feels unneccesary. If camera work is going to be less than smoothe because of the gear, I'd say go with it, get a more rough and ready mockumentary style. Or cut around camera moves. My 2 cents worth!:)

Thanks for that! We used green screen to avoid having to film in public, which requires permits. But you're right! If we were preparing our project for festivals, we would totally avoid using this much green screen. :)

That's cool, I was just being pedantic, really. If it was me...well, I might use a small hand held camera in the car for a quick lap around the block...done that before...and one alternative might be to show the car driving past and some shots out the window and dub the dialog over the images.

WOW April! That was VERY beautifully done. I was very surprised, seriously at how compelling this actually turned out to be. Allie did a wonderful, convincing job, really topped her performance from Florence's Grandmother. I really was hoping she would zap those people! It's also nice and a little interesting to see you and Arne interact for the first time in one of your films. REALLY impressive!

It's funny....the quality on this film is actually much better than what you can view here. I was worried that the compression would ruin the film and no one would see the charm that you're referring to.

It really is! I think what helps is that most of it is indoors so the sound sounds really crisp and uninterrupted by the weather. Havensole's gotten extremely good too. I loved the music in this one and the special effects person did a great job! Overall, hey, I think may enjoy this as much as LOG!
