  • holly heck this song is from prison break at the end of the first season... only it doesn't have the words haha

  • @abscshrill, dude this is a laptop. Granted PC's are cheaper, but not that much cheaper.

  • Dr House :P

  • why not put the res to at the native at 1440x990 come on!

  • fuck this shit,i get directed her because of a battlefield game.Apple must be paying big bucks for this cancer in my web.Fuck you to who ever fucked up simple search in favour of foul play overpaid adds for rich people wanting a computer that poor people cant afford.Fuck i love the word fuck, fuck yeah

  • LOL the music is the HOUSE tv show opening theme song BAHAHAHAH LOL

  • @ccubsfan94 the 320m is about 15-25% less powerful then the 8600m. If that's no problem i'd say go for it. If you can wait then wait till end feb/march, at that time Apple should release it's new MacBook Pro's.

  • Love your Dr. House music. <3

  • house music

  • Is the 2010 model 15 i5 2.4 is going to play this better?

  • @picpoper it should run better, the CPU is much faster and more importantly the Nvidia 330M GPU is about 75% faster then the 8600M.

  • @strigani what about the 320m. on the 13 inch models. cause i want portable but powerful

  • @ccubsfan94 The 320M has about 10-15% less performance then the 8600M (which is in my MacBook Pro). So it should run these games for a casual gamer pretty well but you will have to lower some settings to play a game like crysis.

  • @strigani You think that in my macbook pro i can play crysis like yours? Here the statistic:

2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

    4GB RAM

    1067 MHz DDR3

    NVIDIA GeForce 9400M

    THANKS!

  • @monsterhuntermatteo the 9400m onboard chip is about 35-50% less powerful as my 8600m so I don't think it will run as 'good' as on my machine.

  • @strigani Like in medium settings? its okay anyway right? but sorry you use boot camp right?

  • @monsterhuntermatteo yea using bootcamp, unfortunately there is no mac version of crysis.

  • @strigani ok thanks :) and what about wrappers sistem??

  • It would run a little less on the nvidia 320m onboardchip. Is about 10-15% slower as the dedicated 8600m with ddr3 nvidia GPU. So Crysis will run a little 'slower' on your MacBook (Pro).

  • how would u think this would run on the new macbook pro 13 inch models ?

  • 960x600 @ 15~20 fps. That's pretty shit performance from a $2000 laptop.

  • @TheHardonCollider Keep in mind that the notebook is about 3.5 years old. And it's not designed for gaming. If I wanted a gaming notebook I would have bought an Alienware or something. I wanted a thin, lightweight, yet powerful work notebook. One that runs adobe CS software well and was able to do video-editting. And it did that more then well. Cheers.

  • Would you think this game can run better in the newest version of macbook pro 15 inch??? thanks for response

  • @rdelao1287 the new MacBook Pro 15 has a much faster cpu and gpu so yea it should run better on the new one :-)

  • @strigani Don't get a MacBook for gaming :) Get something with a big GPU.

  • @weinstein888 I didn't buy it for gaming ;) it was nice to see that it did run games aswell. Bought it as a mobile workstation. But I listened to your advise :p I recently bought a Mac Pro Xeon Quad Core 2.8Ghz, 12GB Ram, Vertex 2 SSD and Ati 5870. This machine is a great workstation that runs all my games on Ultra settings in Windows 7 64bit on 1920x1200! It's a beast :)

  • @strigani just buy a good gaming laptop and not a macbook pro. First its better priced and second the gaming laptop got much better hardware and stuff.

  • @rodebest and 3rd I didn't buy the MacBook Pro for gaming.. If I want a gaming notebook I'd buy me a good windows notebook. But I wanted a mobile working station which was light, thin, powerful enough for my (mac) software and lasted a decent time on the battery. I'm a mac user and mac fan so anything else was no option. I game once in a while but the important thing was solid hardware, solid OS and mobile performance. That's why I bought this baby 3.5 years ago. Cheers mate!

  • @strigani

if you want a really good gaming laptop,

but the alienware m15x, i got one, it's the best 15 inch gaming laptop in the world, and i costs as much as this macbook

  • pc owns,,,, plz this mofo is running at shitty quality and his comp cost like wt? 1500? my asus with gtx 260m cost only 1100 and max this shitty game

  • massive attack? at least you know good music i remember when that song came out with the baby in the video

  • so much FPS on the main menu...

  • HIIHIHi awesome mac ur the best

  • Massive Attack - Teardrops. anyway nice video and seems mac machines are bad ass. keep it going, cheers.

  • Hey, i was wondering, does the M in the graphic cards mean mobile or mac?

  • @helldrag0n47 mobile

  • @helldrag0n47 ROFL

  • @OPdAtLife

wut? I see most macs have m so yeah.

  • @OPdAtLife Yeah, pretty much. Rate his comment up, because that about sums up why he'd want one in the first place.

  • the main problem with the crysis isn't that it's graphics are amazing, it's that the engine was very basically modified off the one used in far cry, and they lest a whole lot of unnecessary things, and if they'd spent more then five minutes proting the engine, the game would run a lot faster. my proof of this is crysis warhead, which runs a lot faster because they spent some time tweaking the engine

  • Nice, but it's only getting 15 to 25 fps average. The trick here is setting shaders to medium. On myd pc with win 7 and 8800 I can get more like 45-50 fps and the i7 pc only cost $680. With my new GTX 470 card, it runs around $930 and I'm getting like 88 to 100 fps. Or I can do a Q6600 PC and GTX for like $750 and get 88+ fps. It's cool you can do this, but the frame rate is why I won't use a mac. It happens due to bottlenecks in the slower hardware and their graphics card.

  • @abcshrill Thx dude, I know it's the shaders but I like the nice graphics. Shaders makes Crysis stand out from the rest. Otherwise it's Half Life 2 on Hawaii. We're talking notebook here (a 3 year old notebook to be precise). The new MacBook Pro's have Core i5 / i7 and Nvidia 330M chips which are a lot faster then my build. If you're a gamer and you want to add and remove stuff from your PC I can imaging that you don't buy a mac. I'm glad you're happy with you pc, game on ^ ^

  • @abcshrill I know you posted this comment a while back, but I have a question. But I'm gonna take out the graphics card in my 2010 MacBook Pro, and swap it with a better one. Will it affect the laptop at all? I'm woundering cause I'm hoping to get better graphics and fps out of it. And I was gonna switch it to run on windows. Do you think this will improve gameplay experience, graphics, and fps?

  • @Ekman196 If you have Mac OS X Lion the performance of games will be pretty close to the DirectX experience in Windows 7. But that does not go for all the games. How do you plan of getting the GPU out of your MacBook Pro, as far as I can remember it's attached to the logic board.. Better graphics cards practically always give you higher FPS. The CPU's in the MBPs are already high-end and are rarely the bottleneck when it comes to gaming. PS Sorry for the late response..

  • Very nice, I just purchased a 15" MacBook Pro 2.4 Ghz, glad to see it can handle games decently.

  • @ShadowofCatron, they are ok, but it's only going to get 1/2 the frame rate or less of a similar pc with good graphics card. But as shown he can play it, so not really that bad.

  • @abcshrill Correct. But I'm not talking about better or worst. Mac vs Pc. All I want is demo how these games run on my Macbook Pro. Since I'm using a Mac and kinda am a fanboy my main 'targetgroup' (which is a big word) are the Mac(Book)(Pro) users. And yes, I am aware that there are a lot of new Macs or PC's out there. Which might be faster, made for games, cheaper, mobile, not mobile etc.

  • @strigani My point is, I know that a decent game rig isn't that expensive anymore. I know that most desktop computers will out perform my 3 year old MacBook Pro. I know that there are cheaper Windows notebooks with equal or better performance. I know that there are better Mac's then this notebook. If I wanted any of these things and believed that I needed those more then this MacBook Pro back in the days I'd be stupid not to buy one of those things right?

  • @strigani This machine still does everything I want it and expect to do. As soon as I think it doesn't do what I need it to do I'll probably get a Mac Pro workstation. IF Apple finally makes it a Mac Pro and not an empty and expensive housing with server CPU's. We'll hopefully see a nice upgrade end June.

  • @strigani This machine was bought for graphic design on multipal places and on the go. I wanted a thin, fast, mobile computer with good batterylife and MacOS. But I like to do a game every once in a while. I prefer Apple over Windows. My taste, my decision.

About comparing you can compare but please do compare with the same category notebooks for a 'fair' comparison. Sony Vaio, Dell, Acer etc vs MacBook Pro, not things like Alienware/desktops. We know those things. A car is faster then a bike.

  • how would this compare to 13" and 15" 2010 macbook pros

  • @samm565 the 320M in the new 13" Macbook Pro's are about 10-15% slower then my 8600M GT, the CPU is a equal or slightly faster Core 2 Duo.

On the other hand the new 15" & 17" Macbook Pro's have the 330M, which is about 60-75% faster then my 8600M GT plus they have much faster CPUs (Core i5 and i7).

  • @strigani i live in aus, so the prices are $1499 for 13" and $2199 for 15", so would the extra money be worth the speed, so the framerate would be about 4 less, in these settings, but with the 15" about 18 higher

i got a gma 950 macbook mid 2007 right now :( , it can only play cod2 minimum with 10-25 fps with up to temps of 85C, lol, thats not good, so i want a laptop that will last me a while, and a like portablilty but 15" is still pretty light, but i definitely dont want 17", its TOOO big

  • @samm565 Hi dude, I don;t know your budget and what you wanna do with it. But if you would like to play games on it I'd recommend the 15" 2.4 Ghz Core i5.

  • @samm565

....its TOOO big thats wat she said :D

  • The song is from the Television show "HOUSE".

  • You get 5 stars just for putting a song that isn't hip hop or another freaking drowning pool song.

  • @rockgod2131 lol how many drowning pool songs are there???????

  • @rockgod2131 Their new album isn't that bad but everyone uses either "all over me" or "bodies" and it drives me crazy.

  • Hey dude, u should search up some performance tweaks. there some really good ones that allow u to have better performance with more fps.

  • Nice House MD track. lol

  • Comment removed

  • Good for you.. Why are people always comparing their PC's with laptops? My laptop is 15", weighs 2.5 kilo's and is less then 1" thick. So my laptop is lighter therefore better? We all have different setups serving different purposes. If your PC wouldn't beat an almost 3 year old laptop you would have a crap PC. I spend my money on a mobile workstation in stead of a game rig for a reason. I enjoy my choise glad to hear you enjoy yours. Peace out and please think before you post.. Cheers

  • You win, lol.

  • Stereotypical PC is something that runs Windows and isn't made by Apple. Just saying that's the stereotype, because that's how it is portrayed by Apple in their commercials "I'm a Mac, I'm a PC." They grouped all Macs together and all PC's together.

  • @strigani nice comment man, totally agree with that

  • Comment removed

  • @abcshrill We're there faster mobile processors (other then the small upgrades of) Core 2 Duo's between 2007 end2009? Apple was late this year with the switch to the mobile i5& i7. How can you compare a Desktop Computer to a Notebook? That's the comparison I was aiming at. Ofc the Desktop is cheaper, ofc it's faster. Does a Desktop have to be mobile? No. You can compare performance but those two kinds of products are build with a completely different concept of how those machines will be used.

  • @dreampilot2 CONGRATULATIONS!! YOU MUST BE PROUD!!

  • Very proud!

  • gotta love bootcamp

  • hi!

did u update to directx 9c after having installed xp ? I got xp running with directx 8 and none of the latest games will run :(

I dont know whether it has anything to do with that but some games tell me to update directx but it just wont work

and even steam wont install for some reason ? can u maybe help me? thx

  • @nimicmo I think directX 9 is part of Windows XP Pro SP2, I had no problems whatsoever installing drivers and updates. I;m afraid I can't help you man, sorry. Goodluck!

  • @strigani PS I assume you downloaded the correct drivers from Apples support website? If not search for Bootcamp drivers. Take care

  • is there any way to put this on snow leopard X?

  • @GabeRomano13 not without bootcamp. Parallels and VMWare keep getting better GPU support but you will still lose to much performance to properly play Crysis.

  • wow that looks alright lol

hey bro is ur laptop the 1 with 2 graphics cards?

and also is the 8600M GT better than the 9400m?

    and is that ddr3 ram?

    sorry for the questions lol

just wondering, because will be getting 1 of ebay and is a hard chocie.

  • - only one graphics card

    - the 8600m is about 50% faster then a 9400m and yes the gpu has ddr3 ram

    cheers :)

  • Thanks man.

  • Can I ask. Yesterday i've bought MacBook Pro 13". Nvidia GeForce 9400M with 256MB of DDR3 SDRAM shared with main memory. 2.26 GHz Intel 2 Duo, 3 mb shared level 2 cache. Does Crysis run on or not?

  • @Nik9SIX yes it does but on little lower settings, cheers

  • theme from house. nice!

  • graphics are beautifull

  • how did he get a GeForce 8600 GT in it? I thought you could not upgrade graphics cards in macbook pro's

  • You can't, but it's a 8600M(obile) chip. Now there is a 9600M card.

  • dude hes using the older macbook, previous version had 8600GT's on them

  • The early 2008 macbook pro comes with a GeForce 8600M GT

  • How did you manage to use all your GHz? Mine seems to be capped at 1.59GHz

  • I have the same Macbook Pro also.

  • Me too, I am running Ubuntu Linux in bootcamp and the nVidia driver says I have 512 mb of VRAM and OSX says I have 256 mb.

  • How do you see or notice it's capped?

  • test GTA4 on it

crysis dont need any ress anymore

    too old game ;)

  • GTA4 runs horrible on PCs it's not optimised for PC platform. Less graphics and more system req. then crysis.

  • haha love the house md music

  • tear drop-massive attack

  • I haven't been learned about technical engineering yet. So I cannot participate in the conversation below.

  • is it possible to install vista on a mac using boot camp, then install and run games such as crysis and steam games like half-life 2 and left 4 dead?

    thanks.

  • It sure is ;) Bootcamp supports XP SP2 and greater. Enjoy!

  • Awesome thanks :D

  • wow, ive had dells and hps and ive done a year of research now and apples are amazing ! im buying macbook pro 17 next year wen windows 7 comes out, salute to apple, apple will allways lead the way in pc technology..its inevetable, Dan (uk)

  • they're good but you have to have bootcamp if you want to play games

  • ive heard sony are bringing out the LV & RT all in ones soon, they have 24 and 25 inch models, i know that dell have alien ware, and imacs, not suregearspapeartist what to get, confused ?? just want to know wats best for games and resolution

  • I'm not much on laptops but if you want a supercomputer I would suggest building up a desktop with custom parts, if you get a Mac you need to get Windows on it by using Bootcamp so you can play games, because many games don't work with OS.

  • so?

  • Here is a tip, buy one next year when the new one is supposed to come out, I heard its supposed to come bootcamped and you have a choice of what to start it on.

  • Mac PWNZ, Windows BLOWS.

  • dont say windows blows, this person is using windows fyi, say pc blows

  • @eboy40 The guy in the video is using windows, dipshit.

  • @CrackerJam6

    yes so???

  • @Godpimp He said "Mac PWNZ, Windows BLOWS.", and the video is running windows. Therefore, he's a dipshit. Besides, everyone knows you can just plain do more with windows. Macs are for computer illiterate people and douche bags. Aside from the software aspect, windows machines are cheaper as well, you can build a much better windows machine for the same amount of money you would otherwise pay on a shitty Mac.

  • @eboy40 how come ?

  • These are my personal reasons for getting a new MacBook pro: better design, better preinstalled software, can play any game, both operating systems windows 7 and mac o sx, design iPhone apps, the price is minimal compared to everything I can do with it. My specs are MacBook pro 17" 4gb ram, 500gb, 7200 rpm,

  • Good reasons, good notebook makes a good decision. Nice man!

  • My Asus G50VT X1 came with a 9800M GS, 2.26 GHz Core 2 Duo (overclockable within warranty, Asus has a utility that actually ENCOURAGES OCing) 4GB RAM, 7200RPM HDD + extra HDD bay for running in RAID 0. Features an OLED screen above the keyboard to display CPU and memory usage and other info. Nifty little facial recognition security system dealy that runs through the integrated webcam. Also came with Vista 64 bit, etc. but it was only $800. Much better than paying over $1000 for subpar hardware.

  • Nice specs, but you can't compare the two.. We're talking about game notebook vs mobile workstation with a much better display quality and design. Besides, Windows Vista is a real pain but that's a personal taiste. As I said alot of times, the MBP runs games but isn't build for it. It's made to house as much power as possible in the thinnest / lightest 15.4" housing out there. It's a mobile workstation with a OS that's 64bit for almost 2 years now. So for me the MBP is still the better choise.

  • the X1 is just as mobile as the MBP. I own the X1 personally along with a MBP that i recently sold. I'd rather have a notebook with room for air to travel than one that will A) roast my investment in a mac or B) conveniently snap in half. My X1 has better specs yet lower temps in every aspect. Performance and battery life definitely outweighed the MBP. the MBP is around $1700, the X1 is $800. I managed to stretch the battery while intense gaming to a little over 2 hours. Is that mobile enough?

  • Weigh & sizet: 7.3lbs vs 5.5lbs - 0.96 inch vs 1.6 inches thick. Battery: 6-7h on the new mbp and gaming isn't something you do on-the-go so a power source will always be around. Did yours snap, cause mine didn't. And the new mbps are way better then all the plastic laptops out there. For me the MBP is the best, for you the Asus. And that's fine. We all have different budget (not referring to you m8) taiste and demands. For gaming your notebook will pwn the mbp doubt about that.

  • But I don't game often, I work / design alot on my macbook pro. I like the OS and the design. I has good processing power and the video card is good enough for on-the-go editting. It's a good mobile workstation. I work on different locations and for me this is the best thing. But I understand where you coming from and respect your choise. We both own great machines, lets just enjoy them. Have a nice day! Cheers!

  • This proves Macs do play games, you Mac-hatin' fanboys! :D

  • I NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • actually its a pc because hes using windows, thats the only difference between Mac and Pc, the OS

  • how well does it run? only really really good PCs can run this game without lagging. i'm really curious to know how well mac does with a game that defines how well your computer runs

  • This vid is made with old drivers. New drivers gave me about 5fps increase. Judge for yourself if you find this game running good or bad on my config. I think it's not bad but I would like more FPS (as always). But I don't want shadow / shaders on low. Cause crysis is more an eye candy game..

  • Nice

  • Ofcourse, atleast 10-20% faster as my config. Cheers

  • would this macbook pro run crysis? If so, how well?

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66 GHz

    4gb RAM

    NVIDIA GeForce 9400M + 9600M GT with 256 mb

    Thanks

  • Yes that macbook pro would run crysis. It is a newer and more powerful model than the one in the video. I don't know exactly how well it would run, my guess is at least 5-10 fps better with the same settings as the one in the vid.

  • massive attack- teardrop- my fav band- nice choice- angel- is good as well

  • haha thts like the house theme song right?

  • im buying a macbook pro 15 inch.

    2.8GHz processor

    4gb DDR3 ram

    500GB HDD @ 7,200 RPM

    NVIDIA GeForce 9400M + 9600M GT with 512MB cache

how well can i run crysis on windows xp?

what about on vista 64 bit?

    please someone help me out...

  • about 20% better as on my config. I have no experience with vista 64bit (don't think it would cause any problems).

  • okay thanks man

  • Don't bother running crysis on that. Crysis is a shit game anyway.

  • i would recommend windows xp if u want to get more power from ure system, vista takes in more resources

  • Unfortunately, the golden ages of XP are being nuked away upon the release of DX11. Stick with vista, or upgrade to Windows 7. DX10 and DX11 is only available on the newer OS's. Plus, DX10 looks way better than DX9.

  • how would you change your suits abilities.. ( CAMO,SPEED,STRENGTH) ...???

  • Got a Razor (Pro Solutions v1.6) mouse here, I use the clickable center *scroll button.

  • this is impressive, considering my friends pc with a gtx 285 gets an average of 40 fps dx9 1440x900

  • 1440x900 is much bigger than 960x600. I'd imagine that your friend would get double FPS at that resolution

  • this system of mac book pro will run it on high and medeium settings for under 2000 dollars US and under 2500 canadian: 2.53 ghz processor 4gb of ram at 1066mhz(2x2gb) 250gb hard drive nividia 9400m 256mb

play good games for a solid price. and im not a fan boy trust me.

  • Im pretty excited waiting for mine to arrive. It has both a Nvidia Geforce 9600M GT, and Nvidia Geforce 9400 built in to it. Rest of the specs are very similar to yours. Im sure it can run the most up to date games XD

  • you can run it but not max and some games maybe with lagg mac doenst have good graphics card i got lower specs then him but with a better graphics card i can play high 35-40 fps lol XD

  • they have exactly the same grfx cards as PC's for god sake why are people so full of shit! I have a 512mb gddr3 8600 that I over clock to 650 and 850 and it runs smooth at 82c while running far cry 2 at 1280x800 and with everything on high and ultra EVERYTHING and i get an average frame rate of 29.4 including gun fights LOL there are not many PC laptops that can do that, there are some but not that many, and with the OV'clock I scored 6200 on 3d mark 06 the gfx cards in macs are the same as pc's

  • you comment on a really old comment i already change my mind xd

Sorry if it hurts you -,-

but mac are so expensive is crazy xD

    ]

  • no there not, prove me wrong though. Go and find a PC laptop with a uni-body Aluminium Case 4GB DDR3 RAM running at 1066Mhz & support for up to 8GB RAM a Multi touch glass trackpad a tinted glossy glass display backlit keyboard built in webcam, mic & bluetooth a firewire 800 port L.E.D Display and software whats similar to iLife. iLife includes iMovie, iDVD, iWeb & iPhoto. ALL FOR OR LESS THAN $1,499.00 You will not find a PC with them features for less.
  • oh yeah i also forgot to mention an 8 hour battery life as well. Most PC manufactures boast how there laptops last 3.5 hours LOL

  • lol i think i gone buy a ps3 its getting to crazy rofl :S

  • There parts are as cheap as bird shit

  • erm no, you must be nuts in thinking PC's are better lol. PC's are built down to a Price a Mac is not, a mac is a luxury item, people like you can only dream about, well not me, I currently own 6 of them

  • Comment removed

  • you cant even get 8 Ghz Quads, are you just making it up, because i have never heard anything so ridiculous as cmpsi lol, a hard drive cant be 32-bit lol, thats the processor of the computer which will be either 32-bit or 64-bit. Yeah 156'' LCD HA HA HA, considering the fact that the 101'' plasma screen from samsung costs $18,000 I highly doubt that you have 3 156'' lol, if your going to make up stuff, know what your talking about. I have an Xeon 2 Quad Core Mac pro along with 6 other Macs

  • you do know alot of Apple's products are made in Ireland and the USA, as well as china too, but & Dell Toshiba are the worst, I read an article recently that it costs dell only $170 to manufacture there $1,000 XPS system, it costs Apple $750 to make there $1,150 iMac system, not a huge profit considering how greedy dell are, sure apple could use cheaper components, but the end product would be like all the other crap PC's

  • My Mac Pro system has got 2x 2.8Ghz Intel Xeon Quads, 8GB RAM, 2TB Hard Drive & a NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600 1.5GB for rendering in final cut studio, no one is going to believe your setup lol

  • Nice setup dude, don't even bother replying to that fag, just let him enjoy is 1995 emachine office computer he payed $10 for at a garage sale, so quick quistion, I have wanted a gaming rig (Powerful one too) for quite some time, i don't want to pay for it to be built, so i am going to build one myself, (I7 920 cause you can overclock the shit outta that while maintaining efficiency) and a 1tb high performance drive and 12gb of ram (do ya-

  • think i need more) also dual 285s for video, 1100 watt and such, that is the basics with windows seven, do you think i can handle this job? never built a pc in my life but i have a somehwat good understanding of all the smponents, also this pc will be in a mineral oil setup (im sure you have heard of it)

  • that seems a great setup, I suppose if you follow guides online you can really go wrong, i suppose the messiest bit of the whole building process it fitting the cpu to the motherboard, and attaching the heatsink everything else is pretty easy

  • i've also never heard of a graphics card called a "2 gig OD NVIDIA suck that oh" LOL, you need to seriously earn how to write.

  • Comment removed

  • erm no, i do not, you do, everything you have said is almost incorrect. You cant get a 8Ghz Quad, i've never heard of a cpu manufacturer called cmpsi. I've heard of AMD, Intel, IBM's Power, Via, and even the one Apple owns called P.A Semi, but not the one you mention lol, so show me your so called 8Ghz Quad and your suppose 3 156'' TV's LOL

  • I bet your like some kid with an eMachines tower in your room dreaming it was an AlienWare or even better a Mac pro LOL

  • Comment removed

  • you seriously cant read nor write, my user name is macnerd93, I am not the one being the bully here you are what is Xfire going to prove lol?

  • dude lol, i know how a computer works i've built 12 for clients heck i work at a computer repair shop, which is also an Apple reseller too, there aint nothing you can tell me.

  • your the only person who is dumb, some little kid thinking you know everything lol, I've been a computer user for almost 17 years, I've used Macs for over 11, I know what I'm talking about, so stay out of stuff you dont understand. I've built many PC's for people & I also do video editing & production too

  • you've just been brain washed by people, in thinking that Macs suck, when in fact they are the superior system. You get what you pay for just like if you buy a ford over a ferrari. Now this conversation is now over, Goobye, have fun with your fake 8Ghz Quad lol

  • its here, not hear. what are them numbers meant to mean like, its the internet anyone can easily make anything up. I'll state the Clarity of user okay, I build PC's for people, I do Pascal forms of programming in Unix to some extent, My main hobby though is post production work in Final cut studio, editing movies and also I do graphics in applications such as photoshop. Biggest graphics project I've done, is for a m8 of my dads. I styled his race team van for him.

  • You cant add all the core's together you know so it equals up to 8Ghz lol. Lets say this, If you had a simple 2 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, yes doubled up it would be 4 Ghz, because 2+2=4, However thats just 4 Ghz of performance not an actual 4 Ghz CPU, a core 2 duo is just two processor cores essentially on one cpu dye, and they work together, Quad is just an extra two

  • macnerd93 is right, i have taught computer architecture as a TA in a state university and his comments show he has knowledge. u cant improve performance just by processor, applications and a whole gamut of things play a role.

  • lol, Windows Machines can get ATI 4870 x2, ATI 4870, nVidia 9800 gtx, GTX 295, etc.

  • YOU CAN GET THE ATI 4870 on a mac now to you douche bag, and also the 8800 gt which when clocked properly is the same as the 9800 gtx in terms of performance. MY point however, was that macs use the same graphics cards that you find in PC's even when they were using the Motorola chips they were using the same graphics cards u found in PC's FACT

  • is your macbook overheating ???

ive got 80 degrees when im playing Guild Wars.

    Is it normal ??

Answer on priv if you can

  • Not overheating but my mac does get 79-80 degrees when I playing games in Bootcamp. It's fine, the notebooks can get up to 100 degrees. If it get 100+ it will shut down automatically before blowing up or melting ;-) So don't worry

  • thanks :)

  • It still runs CWH ^^ My video was shot with old Nvidia drivers and your graphics card is 10-20% faster, so if add new Nvidia drivers to that you will run Crysis noticable quicker then my setup. Enjoy!

  • sweet im going to get a macbook pro

    Intel core 2 duo 2.54ghz

    4gb dd3 ram

    GeForce 8600M GT 256MB GDDR3

    320gb hardive

and ill put xp on it :D

    will that play Crysis warhead?
