Before anyone slams Buffett, they should read his biography SNOWBALL. It is very good and it shows how he made not just himself rich but all of his shareholders too.
If the guys running BOA, Merrill, AIG, GE, Chase, and the other institutions that almost ran our economy into the ground had been more like Buffett, they would be making $150k per yr. and no bonuses.
Their shareholders would be a lot happier with them too, not to mention richer.
Your lack of proof and intelligence is a crime. Maybe we ought to audit the fed but you've offered no proof that Buffet is a criminal. You may find him and the fed offensive, but writing what you write is just stupid.
what? buffett just lent goldman money which he can turn into stock.
the fed was responsible - with the regulators of the bush administration - for allowing the banks to go wild though I admit that the democrats get subordinate blame for not pointing it out.
some people, including krugman and even more schiller did a yoeman's job.
Prove his criminality. Cheney is easy, Bush is easy, Kissinger is easy. This guy has a good reputation. Get back to me and the people you insulted here with 2 instances of Buffet egregiously breaking the law.
Goldman Sachs, where Buffet owns a large percentage of stocks, received billions of dollars on baiilot from Bernanke and the Federeal Reserve, why would he say anything objective it. Charlie Rose is a pussy for not pointing this out.
serjflo,I don't understand those who are successful are bad guys.those bankrupted are good guys?he invested in GS which already in troubles.remember,he donated most of his fortune for charities, not like other failures.
Right behind the importance of the Fed chairman... is the CFTC chairman. Obama appointed Goldman Sach's Bankster, Gary Gensler, to continue the corrupt policies that turned Wall Street into Vegas.
I'm not sure I agree with Buffet on this matter. At the same time I do not say that FED is solely responsible for all the mess we are in now. If politicians did not meddle during the early 20' in monetary policy we would have avoided great depression. The same applies to last ten years and politician meddling in 'easing' housing affordability for low income families we would have been in a different situation now.
Problem with private central bank like FED is that what we could well see from September 2008, it's been pursuing it's own interests, it's member banks interest's and not the interests of the country (if USA is a corporation with shareholders then Ben is doing fine job ) or it's citizens! And pleas do not connect or mix 'free' (privately owned) central bank with free market. It works for a few, the competition go bust. PS Btw. There is no such a thing like 'free' market anymore. It's long dead!
he is about the best ever at what he does - corny yes that makes it even better
