  • Is it possible to replace the rom chip with a flashable one so you can upload a different game to it?

  • why the fuck do you keep swollowing

  • You sound like arnold schwarzengger

  • i wish rise of the robot had 3d rotational backgrounds like in ballz that would,ve be really great and peoples would,ve believe to being it the first 3d fichting game on snes.

i had hich aspectations of that game becouse of the promising text on the game pakage, what a let down!!!!

  • The chips you didn't know what are they for are probably some multiplexers to adress those custom chips.

  • Nice video!

I'm pretty sure Super Metroid has some sort of of Enhancement Chip. I mean it IS the largest Super Nintendo game.

  • Yeah my brother wanted to know what was inside the SNES cartridges, so I googled and found you on the top. Thanks. :) Yeah I have like 25 games in my Library, and a lot of them have the Save Data Chip.

  • bist du zufällig aus deutschland?^^

  • Why would the RAM be inside the cartridge? I would think that the RAM would be in the console.

  • thanks for making this vid!

  • could you please rig up a cartridge with a switchboard for each of the pins on each of the chips please lol as i'd love to see what happens when you switch on and off different combinations

  • You forgot to mention that the mask ROM has obviously a code section as well -- the ROM does not only contain data.

  • Thanks Legion great videos :)

  • how about a genesis cartridge

  • Cartridges were awesome, CDs and DVDs are boring

  • @MaterielPneumatique And just virtual files.

  • Excellent video!

  • Is it possible that you can show us what's inside a NTSC SNES cartridge?

  • @tehmariopwner

No but they look the same ^^

  • @Legion2000 Look the same on the inside or the outside?

  • @tehmariopwner

same on the inside. The NTSC-Jap Carts look the same like the PAL-Carts on the OUTSIDE but the US-NTSC cards look different on the outside. On the inside they're all the same

  • so basically the last cartridge also is the same in yoshis island and what chipset is a link to the past? and super mario world?

  • @1989betolopez

Yoshi's Island looks a bit different because it has battery backup save. So it looks similar but has a battery backup as well. Link to the Past and Mario World look like Sim City 2000 / Super Mario All Stars

  • Great info :)

    Thanks for sharing!

  • awesome video thank you : )
