I just wanted to let you know what I did in terms of the audio set-up. I found it strange in the beginning as the volume was all over the place, the headphones were too low or too high. The way I fixed this, and this might resolve nationofhoop123's problem is by simply removing the headphone and master mapping whereby I manually set the Master on 0% as it should be. However, when I hook up sth to the device and flip the switch to input it doesn't show up on the software, can someone help?

@zokisfaction You can map the LED's in Traktor. We haven't done it yet, but you can definitely do it in the mapping preferences.

I came here to enquire about the platter LEDs in the NS6 working with Traktor Pro 2 but I notice someone has already done so. Ive completely remapped the X1 and parts of the NS6 to my liking but the platter LEDs are the only thing I cannot sus. Is possible to inform me when you've cracked it or do I need to keep checking here or on your website??? Thanx for your work so far... Invaluable!!

I am getting a brand new laptop and purchasing traktor 2, i also have vinyl's and was wondering if i should buy traktor pro 2 traktor duo 2 or traktor scratch 2 so that both the ns6 and the vinyls can work

@schijfgram Traktor Scratch 2 will cover all the bases. It's the same as Traktor Pro 2 and you have the option using it with a controller or as a DVS. Thanks for the question!

Hey man, great job on the mapping! However. the only issue I am having is cueing over the headphones. When I press the cue button to prep my next track nothing is playing over the headphones. Although, I can hear the master mix over the headphones when I blend the fader knob. Any suggestions on getting the cue function to work? Maybe I have to remap something? Thanks!

how do you use sync with traktor and the ns6 , i notice the red arrow turns on when syncing tracks but moving the pitch slider does nothing do you still have to move the pitch slider or is it automatic now

I have the NI Maschine,Kontrol X1 Audio 8 DJ and Traktor Pro and I was leaning to get the S4 just to complete my set up with NI products but I honestly like the NS6 better,it looks more professional. Am I gonna miss the loop recorder from the S4? probably, but I really like the possibility in the future to incorporate Bridge into Itch...who knows? It might happen one day...So I made my mind, and I'll be buying the NS6 soon.

Let me get this straight, 1: you can DJ with the decks by using the mp3/wav files on the computer as the source instead of CDs if you want, right? and 2. does traktor 2 support beatmatching in the sense of making track A be the same bpm as track b and if so, just it support visual overlay? I find this to be very helpful! Thanks :))

@electricmaster23 Okay my friend, I misunderstood what you meant by overlays. The waveforms cannot be configured in a side by side manner. Traktor has a phase meter instead that lets you know if your track is ahead or behind of the other(s). Native will accommodate any purchases made in July. They're very good at customer service. I hope this helps!

One last thing: Do you need a special sound card (e.g. dual stereo output) for your laptop when sourcing 2 tracks from your laptop? If not, I could always use me iPod as a secondary source which contains my entire music library. Thanks a trillion!

"Track 2" to Deck 2 on your laptop. You can have both files running off a stock sound card within Traktor, then crossfade between the two decks using the S4 control... Right? :P

@julianh100 If you are sure that you will only be using traktor go for the s4 but if you want to use it with other software the ns6 would be better. The stripsearch on the ns6 is a big+ tho. But, for the rest look for an outline that you like better and you feel the most comfortable with.

@MrFlyboygully, you are very correct. When we first were going to map the NS6 to traktor we used the .tsi file that Numark provided, but for some reason it didn't work fully. Our Marketing Manager tweaked around and created a "Frankenstein" .tsi mapping to work with the NS6. That is why we are providing one on our blog.
