  • i bet when she's 16, she will look back at the video and think,"i used to be like that?"

  • All normal. Best to let it play out and ignore it.

  • ahhh, the standard fit. Experiencing this is a parental rite of passage. It ranks right up there with public potty training accidents and being vomited upon in the face while you are sleeping. Thank you for reminding me how thankful I am for not having to go through this again. :) I got through this by putting them in a bedroom by themselves, shutting the door, and having a glass of wine.

  • @andrewhore thats what my father did, and i knew never to do that again

  • Saw this on the NPR site. Why are you video taping this? This is going to make things worse because she knows that she has an audience. Videoing this is going to make it soooo much worse!! Do you think it's funny? Are you doing this to get publicity? This a human being!!! How would you like it if someone was videoing you while you were upset? This really sucks.....>:(

  • It's a good idea to ignore tantrums... but I think filming a child during one only makes it worse! lol! :)

  • lol round table

  • It's normal for kids to have tantrums, and not just for 2-year-olds. Some kids more, some less. Those of you who suggest beating this poor girl or punishing her in ANY WAY need to get a fucking clue. That would only make the situation worse and scar her for life.

  • what the hell is with the comments. I'm way more upset that parents are advising "beat her ass", "grab her ear and yank"....what? don't you see, you ARE scarred. You are ok with abusing another human being....plus, you seem like a complete ass TormentScars. and bobbyjohn33 needs to be locked up.

  • @tracykd There is a world of difference between a beating and a spanking. Willful disobedience to the point where they are harming (or attempting to harm eg. slamming a chair into the wall) another person or object does merit a spanking. Research demonstrates that children that are subject to corporal punishment (NOT BEATINGS) actually fare better and are less likely to become physically abusive to their parents and others than those who are not.

  • why are you video taping her when you know that makes her even more upset???

  • Oh jesus!!!!!!!!!

  • @bobbyjohn33 OMG, I hope you don't have kids, or pets; in fact I hope all you have is cell mates.

  • Its better to just ignore temper tantrums unless they start calling names or hitting/smacking, if they are just screaming and crying ignore them so they realize it gets them nowhere

  • i rememberi had tantrums like that around 4-5. just be supportive, i think the parents are doing great.

  • She is too big to be acting this way...shes not a 2 year old

  • @lharvey14 Absolutely right! My son had longed stop that crap at that age.

  • call supernanny right NOW!

  • Let her cry it out in her room by herself with no dinner, she will get it after a ciuple of times

  • Straight to bed no dinner or snacks. Promise she will not do that again for a long while.

  • She does this sort of behaviour because you let her. Grow a pair why dont you, obviously she runs the house not you.

  • @necia326 if my kid did this i would warn them if they keep doing it i would slap them gently if they keep doing it a hard slap if they still dont stop time for your room if they still dont stop its time to meet mr hummer h3 for a dounught around them
