  • Well Duh, The Unicorns Grew Wings and Now they're Pegasuses.

  • God: I'll damnit!!!! where the hell are my unicorns!! Noah: I... I... I just couldn't find any God:*shoves large stick into noah's forehead* there we go move along

  • @rereleader They're in the Candy Mountain Cave, Charlie. Yeah, they're in the Candy Mountain Cave visiting the Banana King!!! Nooooo....they've gone back in time to finish their snowman!!!

  • My grandpa used to sing this to me as a little girl:) Miss those days.

  • This song makes me sad. It ruined my dream of ever finding a unicorn. :(

  • This is a good song from our childhood, but it always sounds better when you're shit-faced on Guinness or Harp.

  • WOW!! What a classic!

  • Damn you Noah. Damn you. I love Unicorns >.> and now everyone thinks they never existed </3 v.v xD

  • @OktoberSparksss "Ever" is what you mean to say...and yes, chances are this is why we do not have Unicorns.......there is proof of the flood, but no proof of GOD!!!

  • The idea for this silly bit o' tripe was stolen from a Charles Addams cartoon in the New Yorker.

  • I can see a unicorn anytime, as long as theres a mirror in my house,

  • it wasn't Noah's fault those damn unicorns were fooling around.

  • @MsDoctorWhoFan1 whats ur fucking problem!! it was too his fault!! go die in a hole with noah while the unicorns play their silly games... BASTARD

  • @tencents6 If God is so powerful, Why did he need Noah.....Umm, maybe because he doesn't exist!! Food for Thought!!

  • @TheLingrush God does exist. The Earth was brought into being by the BIG BANG Theory.

  • @coolyounggrandma I meant to say that the Earth wasn't brought into being by the BIG BANG Theory. God made the Earth and everything in it.

  • @coolyounggrandma If you believe in the big bang you cant believe in GOD; if everything in the universe was the size of an atom, there was no place for God to be, because he would not exist until after the Big Bang. Hawkings proved it!!!

  • i love unicorns and rainbows and marshmellows

  • waaaa!!!!! so sad!

  • God: Imma make it rain.

    MMMMMMM LEMME TALK TO YA

  • aaww im sad now :(

  • Stupid unicorns should have listen to God. Instead they followed their own way and drowned in the flood. Much like what is going to happen to half the people on this earth today who choose not to listen and follow the Lord.

  • @Melissa4Him I hate God and Noah I never believed in God shows how much schools paid off don't it?

  • i am now depressed

  • UNICORNS!!!!!!!

  • This Depresses Me.

  • I remember Mr GAN Smith, a teacher from UK who sang this song way back in 1965 while I was in school in Trivandrum. Not knowing English much those days, I did not understand the meaning of the song. Courtesy 'You Tube' I have read the lyrics and am glad to know that there is a subtle story though sad, behind the song. Fond memories!

  • if u think 'bout it, the unicorns had a choice, either drown or get on the friggin ark. Itss their fault for playing, should've been more respectful

  • If you think about it. It's Go's fault that there are no unicorn. Thanks God. You're so unfair lord!!!!

  • Shel Silverstein wrote this song as a poem at first, it was either in falling up, a light in the attic, or where the side walk ends.

  • A long time ago when the earth was green........

  • this is not irish

  • One person will never see no unicorns.

  • My Grandma used to play this song for me on her record player. If I remember correctly, the record itself was thick..and heavy. And yes, I am old enough to remember records, and 8 tracks lol thank you for posting this song with the lyrics. I <3 it very very much!!

  • If them Unicorns would have listened instead of playing around they would have gotten on. Just like today. Get on the boat people.

  • I remember The Bachelors singing this one back in the 60s. I loved it then and I still love it today and this version is just as good. Thanks for posting, VenomousNewfie!

  • Happy St. Paddy's Day to all my Irish friends!

  • Great song from Ireland. If first heard it on the "Ark in the Park" segments of the old WGN-TV's The Ray Rayner Show during the 1970's. Thanks for posting such a great song. In other words.. Happy St. Patricks Day. Y : )

  • @yogafan6500 Maybe if we weren't as cruel with our present day animals, maybe then unicorns would still be with us.

Unless they get hunted into extinction by the Chinese for their "Viagra substitutes"...Happy St. Patrick's Day!

  • Happy St. Patrick's Day!

  • Today I begged and begged our substitute teacher to sing this song and he finally did! best math class ever!

  • Great song, my dad showed to me bout last year, he left just before the end of the school holidays, I'm ten XD! depressing though, the way he leaves the unicorns, but if those Damned Unicorns hadn't 'ave been play silly games, maybe they would've survived! (although @60sportsguy is right about the things they would do to 'em) (don't dis me cuz i'm ten, my IQ is 159! So beat that XD)

  • listen to this when drunk

  • My art teacher used to play this when we were coloring, and I always felt sad :(

  • Hey, they're still around, god wouldn't let them drown, he changed them into narwhals!

  • Great song, and kinda of sad. But if the unicorns weren't horsing around they wouldn't have missed the boat.

  • @DavidtheGlizzard it's life,my friend.

  • This is actually a good song! And the reason that I think they left them there was because the Unicorns didn't get it that they needed to get on the Ark. It wasn't Noah's fault that he left them there! Besides, he had to decide to either save all of the animals on board the Ark or to let the rain drown them all. He did all that he could, and that's what he needed to do. SO STOP SAYING THIS IS A BAD SONG JUST CAUSE HE LEFT THE UNICORNS!!!

  • >:O THIS IS A CRIME!!! THIS SONG SHOULD BE WIPED OFF THE FACE OFF THE EARTH!!!!!

  • Anyone from Chicago old enough to remember Ray Rayner? This was the theme song of his Ark in the Park segments with Lester Fisher.

  • @MrHorrorFan OMG!!! YES!!! I sure do remember that show! LOL oh the memories!

  • yes, we do see unicorns to this very day. we just call them rhinoscerouses.

  • 1968 I remember well.

  • me and my brother sing this song and its so depressing how the poor unicorns just die! Save them Lord!

  • don't worry everyone!

The Unicorns found an island and they all live there now in peace and harmony!

    XD Love this xxxx

    Ookami Tala xx

  • so after double negativing to make positives this song says that there is a bunch of unicorns. they were left out of the ark yet they were on the ark. i would rather say how about the serpents? why destroy the earth because of serpents and then build an ark for the serpents? i picture Jonah in the shade of a guord waiting for God to destroy Nineveh...and God relents. i wish a huge comet would come screaming through. I tire of this.

  • @MrPerryandrews go suck an egg~( u wanna be BRAINIAC!!)

  • Does anyone pay attention to the double negatives or is it just me.

  • ummm this is retarted

  • @gymnasticgirl87 wanna b BRAINIAC!~WHO CARES??)~~c my double ??~~who cares~live you must~a BORING LIFE~!

  • such a cute classic song

  • in the fifth grade we learned a dance to this

  • Oh my.

  • I love this song!

  • how come on the other version by the same band, it has diiferent ending?

  • @TracyMarie1968

    they added for whatever reson

  • @DavidtheGlizzard

You have to understand & NOT be depressed...the unicorn was/is a myth. Just enjoy the song & music.

  • I used to sing this song to my twins..seems like such a long time ago..but guess not..because they still remember most of the words. The unicorns were mythical ( I think ??) but the Irish Rovers were the ONLY musical group..that made this song a big Hit.

I feel privileged to have lived long enough to appreciate this kind of 'fun' music...AND often wish that there were musicians like this to entertain my grandchildren.

  • UNiCorINS RulE mY WoRLd

  • my music teacher use to play this for us in like second grade and i thought it was so depressing how they could leave unicorns to die, and i was pissed cause we would have unicorns today

  • @60sportsguy true, but then people would probably poach them ,and kill them for the horns, or blackmarket sell them for pets:(

  • they played this on a pirate radiio station for like a week leading up to the offcial radio station, everyone in my little town was listening to it. it was awesome, i love this song!

  • I LOVE THIS

  • my teacher always plays this in class...

  • love this song
