  • @Bigthangpoppamayne Get the homebrew chennel and watch the wii open up I use to hate the fuck out the wii till homebrew came out, you can watch full screen youtube video, watch full movies free, listin to music free its easy to install

  • i think the wii can't really handle streaming media from a media server, it can't even play youtube videos on fullscreen.

  • skippy like penut butter ^_^

  • orb is much nicer and works great, haven't tried xoom yet though i might try that later

  • is it Wii video 9 we have to download?

  • it was only wireless g? that makes it even slower . see, if your ballin like me you have wireless n

  • uhh maybe the videos might be skippy because it only flash and it streaming from your probably low end computer

  • This was well over 2 years ago, umm my computer was not shitty. The computer I used to run off had an AMD X2 4200 and 2 gigs of ram running XP witch is plenty. Ontop of it Desktop was connected difrect your router through ethernet and the Wii was connected at full signal on a 802.11G network.

So uhh no it was not my computer nor my network.

It was actually a software bug which they fixed.

  • whoahh 2gigs of memory

  • emh.. Linux runs on a pc, pc is not a os...

  • How about this:

Get a SD or XD card, change it into a different file format called .flv which is flash, then put it on the root of your SD or XD card, eject it from your computer and put it on your wii

  • Media center for Wii sucks! Orb must register and login, and red kawa don`t play music, the movies are skippy xD... They just doesn't works... waste of time...

  • Yeah, and Orb is nice because it's finally available for mac. : )

  • go to mycast . orb . com it's almost the same thing but it runs much better

  • its uncompatible with aim expression sounds though, thats the down fall on orb

  • do you have to hack your wii to get this

  • No, you just need the Internet Channel.

  • you should build in on the fly video conversion on the server - not sure how hard this is...but there are streaming projects out there for php and other web languages that maybe can do this

  • hey man im telling the truth here YO SOOO FAT SON AND DAT THE TROOF

  • Converting to FLV first?!? This is terrible compare to the media center I have seen on 360!

  • You can also try ORB if you want. All you need is a web browser that can play flash and an internet connection for ORB.

  • Nah, I have just connected my computer to my TV. If there is a direct channel where the wii client will painlessly stream the media on my hard drive then thats sweet. But converting over 1000 hours of TV series and movies, which will take a very long time and at the cost of reducing the video quality? I think I will stick with my wire. I mean I am assuming ORB will convert to flv as well since thats the Flash video format? :p

  • Very good app for the Wii. I just used it and it rocks.

  • how do u get it 2 go so fast mine is slow

  • it is probably one of the best looking wii media centers out there (currently using 2 others taht fully work) but they have to fix that audio player before i get it cuz..whats the point right? good stuff though, cant wait till full version

  • yo homie dont tell them your port

  • LOL

  • Thanks for uploading and showing =)

  • Is it me, or does that look like a copy of Windows Media Center?

  • this is simple i think this kid is smart but so are alot of kids his age

  • Lol I did not create it i Just Downloaded this and showed it. I am 15btw and my voice has not deepened yet.

  • aww, sorry man. that's cool. I'm 15, too; almost 16. I was just playin. nice presentation, lol i thought u worked for the company!

  • this guy didn't actually do anything, why would we laud him for red kawa's programming? all he did was run a single installer and then point his wii at it while giving a pretty mediocre voiceover. or did you think that someone using the software has to be its creator?

  • Well done on producing this software, I look forward to trying this out!

  • LOL,smart kid.

  • Who cares how he is?

If he can do this, hes going to be the next Bill Gates!

  • Does it matter how old he is? He's doing what a lot of people have been asking for, and I think it's cool as hell. There is a lot of untapped potential in all of the next gen gaming consoles, and if you don't believe me then just take a look at all the homebrew that has come out for the Xbox, PSP, and Nintendo DS. Quit ragging on the kid for having a young voice and laud him for his achievements.

  • Good going. Keep up the great work!

  • Nice job. I'd like to try this out. Seems a hell of alot easier to do this than the Wii controlled Smarthome..although that was freekin sweet. Hopefully by the time I get a Wii, the bugs will be worked out and the program will run a little smoother.

  • i think he is 11

  • 9's my guess, or a really horney man

  • ROFL, horney!

  • are you twelve?
