@Tholius absolutely not ... 2:12 guy was too interested in the camera crew and wasn't listening to Derren to get the suggestion. IQ has vary little to do with anything. is best to think about IQ as a blanket of knowledge then how "smart" someone is .

@NeroDarkness Sorry but thats wrong. The people he approached weren't very smart. And if someone isn't as smart, it's often easier to get through his mind to his subconscious. The more active parts of his brain someone is using - the more parts of his brain you have to bypass.

Of course there are also alot of other things to watch out for good subjects (and yes, he selects the more suited persons before he approaches).

Done it only a few times because I was skeptical...but it works with many people, quickly. Now I give healing therapies and use hypno in public during unscrupulous police interactions or dealing with car sales men who are rude or pushy...or upset women / men. Higher level speaking really. Actually, no. Anything can't be done to anyone. Some people can't/won't be hypnotized, and those who can won't do anything they wouldn't normally do. You can't be made to kill someone, for instance, unless you'd do it anyway. My father was a hypnotist. I grew up with it. It was a lot of fun.
