  • Sept. 15, 2011. Rest in Peace, the great Wade Mainer. When the news heading said "Country Star dies at 104", I knew it could be only one man. Gone to take his rest and never to be forgotten by many of us. Nothing in modern ''country'' can touch his generation's contribution because they didn't just invent it -they lived it and showed the ones who followed how to do it with dignity and humanity. That he kept on playing past the century mark is yet another inspiration.

  • What a way to "stack" that harmony! Utterly original. Wade Mainer and the great Carl Story, never to be forgotten, at least until I pass from along this way!

  • I have an old cassette of bluegrass gospel, and this is the least grassy, but greatest song on the whole tape. I LOVE this song!
