Your goin the right way, but its not fathers taking care of THEIR KIDS. It is about men learning the law, and using legal remedy to restore their rights and status as a parent. without REAL RIGHTS, it is very difficult to be a REAL PARENT. Go file those cases take away the custody AND take away the forced payments. You kick the state out, and put the court on a short leash. You now have some control, make it understood, this is working arrangement and you are not a visitor anymore.

great video brotha,but i got experience in that field. I seperated from my x and she didnt let me c him for 7 months. I took it to court and got joint physical custody and had that for about 2half yrs it was heaven on earth to have him like i did.but eventually she took it back to court and won now I only c him every other weekend and it sucks, hard to hav a decent relationship seeing him like that! they always give the kids to the mother and cut the father out of their life thats real talk!

@vbritsi each situation.i have been with my boyfriend for 8yrs and he is an excellent father to my daughter and he planned on adopting her unfortunatly he couldn't because of her natural fathers rights well as far as i'm concerned he has no rights as he has never payed for her or even seen her or spoken to her which was his choice not mine would you say this was right that he can say that he doesn't want her to be adopted by the man who has been an actual father to her since she was a year old?

There is too many misconception on what a parent is, my father was and is my greatest hero and my mother is the most powerful women I can ever believe in. Your son is so cute, and so lucky to have a great dad. My parents divorced about 2 months before I was born because of his alcohol addiction. He used to be there for me, he would send child support and birthday gifts and he would visit occasionally when he could. But at a certain point, he just stopped. My mom hasn't received child support in over 2 years, and I can't even remember when I saw him or heard from him last. I don't even know where he lives anymore...it really hurts.

@dejuanp I know the Fresh Prince episode you are referring to, I always tear up when I see it. My mother grew up without her dad and the few times I did see my grandfather it was so uncomfortable for both my mom and I. He lived in England for many years and when he died my mother didn't even flinch. He tried to rally back (Jamaican saying) when my mother was older but she wasn't having it.
I'm an only child and unfortunately my dad died when I was 2 years old. My mother never remarried and it's not until recently that I've started to feel the effects of not having a father growing up. Your son is lucky to have both you and your wife in his life. Dead-beat fathers don't realize that they will not be young forever and may need the child they abandoned when they get older.....smdh!!
Maybe I missed it. What are the things again that have happened to you that make it so very very difficult to be a part of your kids life? Maybe what is missing here is an understanding of why people leave their kids. There are numerous reasons, no two are the same. I know. I have 3 kids and am wrestling with whether or not to (temporarily) leave them. It is a heartbreaking time for me.

That's true. If you've ever gone to a child support office and look at the wanted posters (YES THEY MAKE WANTED POSTERS FOR DEAD BEATS NOW!!) You'll see some VERY wealthy white/italian/indian men. I love my son, and would do anything for him, I just wish the child support wasn't so much, so I could afford to by him Playstations and other things kids like.
My mom and dad got seperated on my 7th brithday. i didnt understand why we (my 2 brothers and my mom) had to move or why my dad was with some other lady and not my mom or why my brothers and i only saw him once every two weeks. I am 14 now and i havet seen my dad in five years. and sometimes i finde myselfe longing for that love only a father can give his dauter. i just hope and pray that when i have kids that there father wont be like mine.

However I found a wonderful man who is an amazing Dad and the only one she's ever known. He could be out single and partying but he works hard to take care of us. Your goin the right way, but its not fathers taking care of THEIR KIDS. It is about men learning the law, and using legal remedy to restore their rights and status as a parent. without REAL RIGHTS, it is very difficult to be a REAL PARENT. Go file those cases take away the custody AND take away the forced payments. You kick the state out, and put the court on a short leash. You now have some control, make it understood, this is working arrangement and you are not a visitor anymore.

I took it to court and got joint physical custody and had that for about 2half yrs it was heaven on earth to have him like i did.but eventually she took it back to court and won now I only c him every other weekend and it sucks, hard to hav a decent relationship seeing him like that! they always give the kids to the mother and cut the father out of their life thats real talk!

1. The woman can refuse to have sex in the first place
2. Women have 17 forms of birth control to prevent a pregnancy.
3. There is the "morning after" pill for unprotected sex
4. If an unwanted pregnancy occurs, there's always abortion
5. If she is opposed to abortion, the last option is adoption
The woman has total control at every step.

Mah mom past away wen i was 3, I muv n with her sister, mah dad was on n off drugs, so I saw him a handful of times, I use to b so happy to see him but the money mah aunt gave me he would take it, n he even sold mah presents on mah birthday. Your son is so cute, and so lucky to have a great dad. My parents divorced about 2 months before I was born because of his alcohol addiction. He used to be there for me, he would send child support and birthday gifts and he would visit occasionally when he could. But at a certain point, he just stopped. My mom hasn't received child support in over 2 years, and I can't even remember when I saw him or heard from him last. I don't even know where he lives anymore...it really hurts.

I have tears in my eyes. You are a great daddy. I'm so glad that you're doing better than your father did to you. Your son is lucky. I'm hurting for my children so bad, because her father abandoned us when they were born. He doesn't want anything to do with our kids, and he won't pay child support. My daughter cries ALL the time about not having a dad, and my son is angry about his father. We are broken hearted, but I have to stay strong for my kids. It's so hard. : (

I am 13 and my dad walked out on us too. It's hard and I know where ur comin from. Every time I see a kid playin with his dad it makes me so sad. But I know that when I have my kid I gotta take care of him even if it takes sacrificing my life to do it. You are a great dad and any kid would be luck to have you as a father. @dejuanp I know the Fresh Prince episode you are referring to, I always tear up when I see it. My mother grew up without her dad and the few times I did see my grandfather it was so uncomfortable for both my mom and I. He lived in England for many years and when he died my mother didn't even flinch. He tried to rally back (Jamaican saying) when my mother was older but she wasn't having it.

I'm an only child and unfortunately my dad died when I was 2 years old. My mother never remarried and it's not until recently that I've started to feel the effects of not having a father growing up. Your son is lucky to have both you and your wife in his life. Dead-beat fathers don't realize that they will not be young forever and may need the child they abandoned when they get older.....smdh!!

Maybe I missed it. What are the things again that have happened to you that make it so very very difficult to be a part of your kids life? Maybe what is missing here is an understanding of why people leave their kids. There are numerous reasons, no two are the same. I know. I have 3 kids and am wrestling with whether or not to (temporarily) leave them. It is a heartbreaking time for me.

I feel better now, watchin this. I'm a young father(21yrs old) and i always wondered why do my daughter needs me if mom can do everything i can do. But eventhough physically, that almost all true, spiritaully she can't. So i feel better knowing that, thanks foke.

I likethe fact that you recognize that you dont know how a fatherless girl may feel. Alot of people assume that females dont feel that pain but it is sooooo untrue. I find myself dealing with that every day. They say you marry your father. As a young woman, that saying continously haunts me. I think that is why many of us have mess up relationships with men. Ironically, it might be why some of us be like "niggas aint shit". BTW, its good to see a sincere Black man concerned!

Most men do not abandon their children.They get divorced and "family" courts hands over the kids to mommy so she and the state can collect extortion fees(child support) and call you a "deadbeat".Please keep in mind that all your wife has to do is post a video saying you're a deadbeat dad(true or not)and all these people giving you praise will turn on you and call you every name in the book.

I see this man in Video as a Father, who is Married, and have not been through Divorces/and custody.
I was once like that, happy, had everything, i took my ex Bitch in 3 Vacations in South America and Europe in 2 years.
She told me I was the Greatest MAN in the world, but once we divorced she told me I was the worst.
I see this Vidoe more as his personal Life, rather than he giving a MSG to Father's out there about supporting their kid's.

I was called names, I was attacked, threatened, and my cars were scratched.
I lost so much through those 2 years of courts that i don't think i will ever get back to where i was.
Lost a House, sold for almost nothing, lost My Semi Truck, and My CDL.
I still today have sleeping Problems, and depression.
I called once my Attorney to tell her that I quit all and any Custody, battle, but she did not answeer the phone and when she called me i changed my mind.

I am a MAN who I have a daughter and I have Joint Custody with my EX WIFE.
I spent $30,000+ in divorce/custody case, I was many times in Prison under false accusation" CHILD ABUSE" Restrain orders etc etc Mother falsely accusing me to better her chances to Win custody later all charges dropped JUDGE SAID NO crime ever committed.
I was out of Work for 9 months,Possible income $1,000+ a week. I lost 35 pounds, and i have sleeping problems, the reason was BECAUSE i wanted to be there for my child

There is a biger issue out there than just "dad's don't want to support their kid's".
Yes there are deadbeat dad's and Mother, but what about those who are not allowed to be with their kid's more than 2 days out of 14 and that is like seeing ur kid's in picture...

That's true. If you've ever gone to a child support office and look at the wanted posters (YES THEY MAKE WANTED POSTERS FOR DEAD BEATS NOW!!) You'll see some VERY wealthy white/italian/indian men. If I remember correctly I think it was even more then black men. The thing is these guys have money, some of them owe hundreds of thousand in CS. But they are so powerful the mothers are scared to go after them.

I have a child so I understand what you are saying, but the truth is Child support is not about money. It is about being responsible and being there. So tying child support to child rearing is stupid.
I love my son, and would do anything for him, I just wish the child support wasn't so much, so I could afford to by him Playstations and other things kids like.

My mom and dad got seperated on my 7th brithday. i didnt understand why we (my 2 brothers and my mom) had to move or why my dad was with some other lady and not my mom or why my brothers and i only saw him once every two weeks. I am 14 now and i havet seen my dad in five years. and sometimes i finde myselfe longing for that love only a father can give his dauter. i just hope and pray that when i have kids that there father wont be like mine.

Not 1 day goes by with me not thinking of her. im very sad about that. her mom is very mad at me for leaving. but i didnt love her and my child is paying the cost. My mother raised 4 kids alone. Our father was a check in the mail. She chose to be a single mom and I have alot of anger towards her still. Now my worst nightmare is coming true. My sons father decided he doesn't want to be with me now when our baby is 9 weeks old. He expects to pay child support and call it a day. We still live together but he refuses to show any kind of love, support, affection to me. He plays with the baby but will not help me with his care. He has become emotionally abusive

YOU ARE A REAL MAN!!! My childs father signed his rights away because he say he couldn't talk to me. Everything was fine until 3 months after she was born and I mentioned child support. Now I'm a cunt, a bitch, weak minded, but he's the one who has nothing to do with his child. My baby girls favorite word is DADDY. Guess who answers when she says that I do.... It's sad, so sad... She is 14 months old and I have raised her since birth.

I would like a response on why some men dissrespect the mother of their child/children. I just don't understand...I believe that there should be a level of respect as far as introducing new people to the child and as well as bringing your new mate to mutual function...I think that some men and women should learn to specify that although you understand that the person u r dealing with loves you this is a decision that has to be made by the parents and not parents and girlfriend/boyfriend..
