The story to this song is so sad. But I love that he made a song about said Story. The chant says it all. For people who don't know the Story is that a Girl on new years day Fell from a window on the 5th flow right in front of the leader of Thursday. The Count down makes sense now doesn't it?

i'm starting to doubt some of geoffs stories. given at this velocity was a dream, he said this girl fell off the fifth story of a building right in front of him, dying in new brunswick is about his girlfriend getting raped, steps ascending is about getting in a fight with his friend and then his friend got shot and he never got to apologize or say goodbye. either he's full of it or has had a very traumatic life. either way they're one of my favorite bands of all time.

Good job. But I think it would have been even better if you had put the count down at cloud and kadaj's fight, so 5 stories falling would be during his fall, then one would be when sephiroth appeared. Just my opinion.

What record company is Thursday in now?! I know they quit Victory,but what are they in? And this song sounds way better live.

Thursday started off with small time Eye Ball Records. Then they got the opportunity to with Victory Records and signed with them. After a "marketing" dispute they left Victory and signed with Island Records. They recorded " A City By The Light Divided" with Island and shortly after left them to join, once again, Victory Records where they released their CD/DVD Kill The House Lights. (check it out!!!)

Thanks. I was wondering how Thursday got into the universal group company so I was thinking that Thursday quit Victory,but too bad there not recording with Fall Out Boy and Good Charlotte anymore. They wouldve got more far if they stayed in Island,but its just like Thursday to not attract that much attention. They should realy try out Warner Bros. Records or at least Reprise so they can hang out with their friends on My Chemical ROmance more often.

WTF. Fall Out Boy and Good Charlotte aren't even worthy of being mentioned alongside Thursday. This song scalds their toy instruments. I'm not a huge fan of Thursday either, they have their good songs but that's it. I personally think the lead singer should learn to listen a bit more but nontheless KUDOS to them for producing Jet Black New Year.

Lol. Thanks man. umm. This song was on the "Five Stories Falling EP". It was just a CD they released so they could fulfill their contract with Victory Records. It was comprised of 4 live tracks and this one.

this is the computer generated movie based on the popular video game "Final Fantasy VII". the events of this movie take place 2 or 3 years after the events of the video game (someone correct me if im wrong).
