Loved this video, that was my part of the world Devon/ Cornwall. Also lived in Redditch, so can understand the Brummie well. Fortunate to live on Vancouver Island now , where the country side is so different . Keep updating your lesson (very good )and most helpful.
If i may ask, how do you rpepare your paper? i have the problem of it wrinkling up and im not successful with "strecthing" the paper prior to painting. Any suggestions?
@Kir0880 I don't stretch the paper prior to painting and mine also used to wrinkle up as it's only 130lb. To get around the problem, if you notice in these videos I always start by giving the paper a good soaking with clean water, wet enough so that you can see the water running down the paper. Then, by the time I've done the sky and some of the background, the paper has stretched evenly and it's just a case of refixing at the one end. Hope this has helped. Anything else, just ask.
@Kir0880 That helps a lot. One last question. When you say refixing, what do you mean and how do you do it? And i am very grateful for you taking the time to answer my questions :)
@Kir0880 all I mean is once the paper has stretched, I undo the clips on the right hand side, pull the paper flat and then reapply the clips. Happy painting!
@po0kiepie I can only apologise for a lack of clarity but there’s little we can do with strong regional dialects. I have trouble understanding fellow Englishmen from some parts of my own country so I can sympathise with your predicament.
@myARTjournal I'm also often too lazy to go for watercolours. but that's mainly because I have to put everything up, the paper, brushes, etc. and when I have everything together I'm not in the mood anymore.
one should have a corner set up for that always, right?
and then you could also wander around countryside or whatever and really >see< the place to feel the inspiration. painting doesn't mean you have to make it look photographed. paint like you see it.
How come your videos aren't in 720p anymore? I thought they were like that in the past. Unless I am just thinking of someone else. Anyway, This is a really nice painting.
@TylersArtShack you must be thinking of someone else. I've just bought a new camera that records in high definition. However, when I went to upload, a 15 minute video takes about 9 hours! Consequently, for the moment I'm sticking to DVD quality.
@WatercolourWorkshop WOW!! that is just nutz. It will take me about an hour or 2 to upload a video that long to youtube. It might be the format you save it in. I save mine in Mpeg2 format.
@TylersArtShack I think you're right. I've just had a look and I think I've got the settings wrong. I'll have a play and see how I get on. Thanks for pointing that out.

Great work always like to see how water is painted. Looking forward to the next one.

@henrycems I like to paint water with the least amount of fuss possible. Fast water like this is just a quick sweep of the hake with the sky colours.
