"an iontophoresis application, which is an electrical stimulator that delivers a real low dose of cortisone through your skin is very helpful for this condition; typically is not injected because that can cause a little bit of a problem."

  • hello, im 12 years old and ive had tendinitis(from what doctors told me) for about almost a year

  • I am sorry this is NOT the right answer unfortunately, my research tells me.

Quad is not a muscle that is SUPPOSED to be used in landing. IF you really want to know how to correct this problem. msg me.

  • excentric (unilateral) squats on a 25 degree plank has proven te be an effective treatment for jumpers knee

  • Good video.I have had this June 2009 Very frustrating injury. It occurred on my left knee so it wouldnt heal due to driving.Tried acupuncture ultrasound, friction therapy, all the rehab exercises, had a MRI scan the works. But rest is the key Have only started exercising again a few weeks ago but only no impact exercises. Walking Cycling cross trainer can only do leg press as muscle building exercises.key thing was rest.once it settles down use heat pack to increase blood flow to ligament.

  • I'm glad i found this video. I got tendonitis in my left knee. It's affecting how hard I play basketball. It's aggravating and I'm only 20 y.o.

  • @cleptomon I feel your pain, I'm 18, and this injury completely takes me out of my game whenever it flares up..

  • @APJR20 It kills me. But it's getting better. But I want 100% better!

  • @cleptomon how long have you been with tendinitis??¡¡$??¡!"$?¡!"$¡!"$?

  • @chrisorlim It started flaring up during the summer of 2009. I've been in the gym since the start of January 2010.

  • Got it! For anyone else who's looking for it, the name is Osgood-Schlatter

    Thanks again.

  • There's a different condition that is mentioned in this video at 1:26 (minute:seconds) but I couldn't catch the name. Could someone spell it out for me so I can google it up? I think I may be suffering from it.

    Thanks!

  • tendonitis is inflammatory. my doctor told me i have it just days ago, he explained it as "swelling of the tendons" he might be wrong idk but thats just what i was told.

  • It is now evident that tendonitis is a defunct term: the condition is not inflammatory. Chronic tendon pain is now termed Tendinosis, which is a degenerative condition and not an inflammatory condition.

This does in fact alter the way we need to approach treating our diseased tendons. Check out tendinosis. org for a good place to start. There are a lot of rubbish treatments out there to get conned by, but there's hope. Disciplined rest is vital.

  • Thanks dude!

  • wow i have this condition on my right knee and this video has been very helpful

  • Thanks alot

  • Informative!
