just to make sure, i checked out parody on the dictionary. it has a broader meaning than i thought it did, but you know what? you guys still aren't parody. as far as i can tell you've pretty much exactly copied the original opening with new faces. its not funny, or bad. its just a copy.
romg, this is perfect man, well done. The appearance of Brad Allen alone makes it great. Good to see you at ACL last night man. I'm watching the rest of your films now. Take care.
It's funny how the original probably cost them thousands of dollars to put together because computers were crap back then, but now you can probably pull this off for nothing.
Excellent work! The graphics and timing are spot on...I guess another way to take it to the next level would be to colorize the actual photos to have that "scanned in the 80's" look. Kinda yellow/orangish, if I remember?
Does anybody remember an episode where the edison twins entered a cake competition but the dog ate half of both of their cakes so they combined both halves to make a mega cake and they won the competition? or is it just me
I don't remember that one.. but I do remember when they taught me how to open mail using steam.. ha my family was so pissed off cause I kept steaming all the mail and resealing it... oh that show taught me so many wonderful things
I used a digital camera and photoshop to do the cutouts of my friends. A little illustrator to match the logo and the formula. Then I used Apple's Motion software to do the camera moves and the line animation.
(Unfortunately I couldn't find a way to make the line 'draw itself' then curve in Motion. If anyone knows of any good Apple Motion tutorials online feel free to message me!)
Very well done...you deserve some massive cred from this Canadian. :)
What software did you use in putting this together? Obviously, your methods must've been more digital than whatever they had for putting those credits together in the 80's...
This is the best ever. We should be friends.

I call it homage, not parody. Your childhood idols still inspire you.
