@Epicnazgulslayer everything palpatine did was meant to undermine the republic, he himself never brought peace. on occasion, he made it look like it was meant to bring peace, but any decision he made was made to destroy the republic. other times it was other people who got in the way of his plans, so he had to go with it to keep his cover. Nevertheless nothing Palpatine ever did was meant to convey peace, but sometimes whether it did or not was out of his control.
i personally hate the episodes that take place on coruscant, except for the zillo beast strikes back. i couldn't care less about the senate, because every senate episode ends the same way: padme ends up giving some inspiring speech to stop something bad that's about to happen or that happened to her. Thank god Season 4 hasn't had any senate episodes and only 3 episodes with Jar-Jar.
Thats a good scene but I still loved the one where Palpatine makes eye contact with a dragon they brought to Coruscant. Just the way they made eye contact made the dragon want to kill Palpatine that much more. The dragon was after Palpatine only it seemed. Which brought to question what was going through the beats mind. I think the beast could sense Palpatine's intentions....
Palpatine/sidious was described as black hole in the force when yoda sensed in palpatine he saw nothingness and complete darkness when Shaak Ti used the force tried to look in sidious mind it almost drove her insaneto see how twisted and dark Palpatine/sidious mind is.
Yup! That IS tha best scene in clone wars! Poor kiddies who must see that primitive lightphallus-thingy to get satisfaction from this series... These fags wont ever understand the enormous power of words and patiency...
No warrior ever created a world or brought peace...
@StrangeTickingNoise yeah, the clone wars are horrible, they turned jedis into troopers, etc. but come on, little children are little, you dont have to call them fags.
@gv1955 well generals are one thing, but in this show theyre just warriors for the republic, which they arent supposed to be. the whole show is void of any thinking or wisdom, its just action, which, imo, is not star wars
@MrRudiMentary But there still has to be the plot, the story behind the whole conflict. There isn't very many scenes in the show anymore showing the path of fate. It's all gone to little hidden messages and lessons, and little side stories. There has to be scenes that show the wisdom of it all, the main saga has a good balance between plot revealing scenes and battle/action scenes. The Clone Wars show can't exactlly say the same.
I would disagree, these Jedi they have no wisdom, no knowlege, no understanding of the world they live in.
Its why the Sith have such an easy time returning from extintion to power.
If you want to see Jedi in their prime look at the Jedi before the Ruusan Reformation. It destroyed who they were and let the rot of conetemplatency turn them to apathy as there guiding principle.
Even after the fall of Darth Krayt I rekon they will go back to this way of thinking..
@StrangeTickingNoise "These fags" is kids who is prolly about 9-13 years old and doesn't care about anything else then epic fights, I guess you're prolly 20+ and is having a completely different mind then them? I'd love call you more then just a faggot for comparing yourself to children.
But anyway: I think its always sad when people are only indentifying themselfs with guys whos only goal is beating up other guys. say Iam ignorant, but i call that primitive.
On the other hand, I think I just got overboard with condemning these children. forgive me kids. you have the right to like whatever you want. I apologize.
@StrangeTickingNoise Excuse me for being a little dumb but I don't really get this scene. I do get the whole series and I feel Lucas is telling us something with it. If you look at whats happening in the world today it is evedent that the US is just like the republic or the UN. In ROTS Palpatine had gunray killed after he used him to start the war i.e Bush Bin Ladin, but what is so great about this scene please explain.
@MegaHiphop84 I'm not understanding how this has anything to do with politics or your obvious liberal conspiracy theory agenda. Star Wars is pure science fiction and has never had any reference to the modern political world. And the reason this scene is good is because it references Palpatine's true agenda. In my opinion, any scene that conveys the inner workings of the events that led to the fall of the Jedi is a carefully calculated plot point.
@MasterJedi96 to say star wars has nothing to do with modern political world you must be naive. I mean come on look at the world the wars that are going on and how the usa is trying to occupie the whole damm world under the ruse of peace making. but any way. thank you for clearing it up for me.
@MegaHiphop84 Like the episode with the plague or whatever with the geonosians and anakin interrogates poggle with force choke, it conveys anakins gradual turn to the dark side. Anakin's turn was the result of many different feelings, events and decisions, and it was the buildup of things like that that turned him. And this scene conveys that Palpatine was always trying to undermine the republic, for those too stupid to know.
@MasterJedi96 you don't have to call me stupid at least I was honest enough to ask some people who obviously are fans of the series. a little respect I am a star wars fan and I watch for the deeper meaning but I just did'nt get what was so important about that scene but now yeah I get
@MegaHiphop84 i never called you stupid, thats you twisting my words, a common liberal tactic. i talking about little kids ages like 8 or something. may not make sense, but it was a way of making an adult or older person want to watch the show, because while the little kids can get pleasure from whirring lightsabers and explosions, us thinkers enjoy variety and something to think about. this scene is for us smarter people.
@MasterJedi96 lol liberal tactic huh. you reallly think our gov is any better than the galatic empire? well its not. ask a little kid over in the middle east how they feel when us troops are in his back yard after they just bombed his grandmas house.
@MasterJedi96 but your right fuck politic lets just enjoy star wars and after watching a new hope agin I see how this scene is important. because in a new hope if u rememeber when Tarkin said " the last remnats of the senate have been swept away", this is what EP wanted to do here but could not because of the Jedi
@MegaHiphop84 hard to say...movie wise i'd say that because of the generation i was born in, the first 3 were my favorite. but 4 5 and 6 were great storyline. i'd have to say if i needed to pick 3 it would be 3, 4, and 6.
It's not the best scene, but I do love how it foreshadows his goals. It goes to show just how eager he is for his plan to work, without revealing who he is.
Its an old stage expression. Since the theater has 'three walls' the fourth wall is the audience, so it means when a character in a movie or show actually talks directly to the viewers.
The only way Star Wars works, is if you believe that the Dark Side isn't just a form of energy some people are able to use. The Dark Side of the Force has to be like some Elderitch Abomination with it's own goals and ambitions that are so far reaching and so outside the normal scope of mortal senses even for a Jedi/Sith. That is the only way to explain the nature upon which Dark Side practitioners go about their buisness, because just following your emotion's doesn't make you act like that.
The Sith Dark Lord is presumed to be the strongest being in the galaxy. Unless another Sith can defeat him or her in a duel, then the Sith Dark Lord has the right to rule.
@GrievousCommander Hence their Anton LaVey motif. The irony is that social darwinism is a form of altruism (ironic because most associate social darwinism with sociopathy) because it demands that the indivdiual sacrifice themself on behalf of some ficticious racialist "greater good."
HEY - I've got an idea....let's play "Who Gives a Shit" - I'll go first....NOT IT!
Dear God. You people seriously need to step away from your computers, go outside, and get some fresh air. I've never heard so much psycho-babble in my life. Star Wars was a wonderful part of my childhood, just like Disney, Saturday morning cartoons, and many other FANTASY STORIES. You idiots take this stuff WAY too seriously. I'm so glad I don't have to put on such an ACT to get attention from my friends.
@MariusLaru It's okay to be extraverted and to share ideas with other people. That doesn't make a person an attention whore. George Lucas wants us to analyze his work! He wants us to think philosophically. All artists do.
It is interesting to see the connection The Clone Wars series have to the Star Wars movies, this scene is so good because it reminds us that Chancellor Palpatine is infact playing both sides and needs that war to continue in order to fullfith the MASTER plan of the Sith.
And can't wait for him to abuse the "Order 66". Also order 66 was made by Yoda and was made to kill the Jedi's. That's only if Jedi's go agent's the Republic or went to the dark side. And Yoda love the Republic. Just letting you know. And Yoda loves the Clones :D.
The best episode was one of the first, "rookies." The only episode something remotely close to swearing was said. Some clones said what the hell. But, apparently the parents of some little six year old or something got all ticked. They edited hell out of those episodes and never said anything else.
@canhelpwithgames The old series was uninspired and had no story to it. It was pointless battle after battle that got repetitious and boring. They put lots of effort in to this show and is one of the very few good shows on TV right now.
@TheREALforeverone It may be fantasy, but this show is MORE realistic than the old one the animation is a lot better, has a good story and good acting. The old one was BANG! BANG! BIG EXPLOSION! a lightsaber fight BANG! BANG! BIG EXPLOSION! BANG! another lightsaber fight and more explosions. Yea that's interesting. NOT.
@472Colin this series is even better than the prequel movies all together and have much darker tones and i like these actors better than the real ones
@472Colin i mean this series doesnt beat the original trilogy but how can people think that old cartooney peice of crap was better with a show that at least makes an attempt at having depth (I mostly watch this show for deatwatch but still)
@TheREALforeverone Robotic movements eh? You obviously haven't watch the second half of season 3 or any season 4 episodes. This is a much better series than that children's cartoon that had no point to it. More depth, more character development and better action scenes.
Isn't it amazing how much the prequel trilogy sucks. That one director can have all the talent in the world and then insult millions of fans with a horrible second product. For now we must abide by the law and not kill George Lucas...for now...
@GeneralGrin Sidious/Palpatine did want Amidala out the picture however after she married Anakin at the end of Episode II, he has allowed her to live throughout the Clone Wars so he has soem sort of hold over Anakin. As for Anakin's visions in episode 3, I believe Palpatine didn't create the dreams just read Anakin's mind.
@StarWarsStory didn't he try to kill her in episode II through Dooku (who told Fett to do it) ?
also I belive in episode 3 Sidious used some kind of dark power to cause Padme to die in order to turn Anakin completely to the dark side. (since there was no medical explanation for her death). I think Sidious planned everything in advance and may have been the one to implant those visions into Anakin's dreams as well

This isn't the clone wars. It's a terribad show stealing the name of the original clone wars show, which was excellent.
smashmeta18 1 month ago
@smashmeta18 The old show was crap and unrealistic. This is much better.

@472Colin The old one is better.
animation101films 1 month ago
@472Colin well if you hate fighting then the old one was crap other wise it was total ownage
also it was way more realistic then this ever will be it almost showed what war really is. also made the jedi a real force to be reckoned with.
canhelpwithgames 1 month ago
@canhelpwithgames The old series was uninspired and had no story to it. It was pointless battle after battle that got repetitious and boring. They put lots of effort in to this show and is one of the very few good shows on TV right now.
472Colin 1 month ago
@472Colin HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! What is realistic about both shows? IT IS FANTASY!!!! IT IS SUPPOSE TO BE UNREALISTIC!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!
BTW, The older one is MUCH better then this robotic looking crap.
TheREALforeverone 1 month ago
@TheREALforeverone It may be fantasy, but this show is MORE realistic than the old one the animation is a lot better, has a good story and good acting. The old one was BANG! BANG! BIG EXPLOSION! a lightsaber fight BANG! BANG! BIG EXPLOSION! BANG! another lightsaber fight and more explosions. Yea that's interesting. NOT.
472Colin 1 month ago
@472Colin this series is even better than the prequel movies all together and have much darker tones and i like these actors better than the real ones
TheDrYes 1 month ago
@TheDrYes Finally someone else who agrees.
472Colin 1 month ago
@472Colin i mean this series doesnt beat the original trilogy but how can people think that old cartooney peice of crap was better with a show that at least makes an attempt at having depth (I mostly watch this show for deatwatch but still)
TheDrYes 1 month ago
@472Colin HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH... little or no action BLAH BLAH bLAH... robotic movements. BLAH BLAH BLAH. Boring action robotic scenes. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!! Your argument is invalid.
TheREALforeverone 1 month ago
@TheREALforeverone Robotic movements eh? You obviously haven't watch the second half of season 3 or any season 4 episodes. This is a much better series than that children's cartoon that had no point to it. More depth, more character development and better action scenes.
472Colin 1 month ago
@472Colin I have seen them. Robotic is robotic is robotic. ;)
TheREALforeverone 1 month ago
@472Colin THANK YOU. I can't even watch the 2d series anymore. It just doesn't feel like Star Wars to me. This show is SOOOOO much better.
PadawanLinea 1 month ago
@472Colin Yeah, because clone troopers and jedi sitting around talking about nothing as opposed to fighting is so much more interesting right?

I enjoy this scene since it gives Palpatine's opinion of the Senate that has not been witnesed before in the last 54 episodes.

Can you imagine how awesome this line would be if Ian McDiarmid were doing the voice acting?
Ian Abercrombie does an OK job, but he lacks the sinister/sleazy undertones that makes McDiarmid's version so memorable.

Isn't it amazing how much the prequel trilogy sucks. That one director can have all the talent in the world and then insult millions of fans with a horrible second product. For now we must abide by the law and not kill George Lucas...for now...
cyber151 2 months ago
@cyber151 well the prequels are still better then the originals
darthroeluz 2 months ago 4
@darthroeluz couldn't agree more'' simply because the prequels capture the real essence of Star Wars and the age of the jedi!!!

If Padme had not been the tool needed for Anakin's fall to the dark side, Palpatine would have had her killed...
StarWarsStory 2 months ago
@StarWarsStory didn't he try to kill her in episode II through Dooku (who told Fett to do it) ?
also I belive in episode 3 Sidious used some kind of dark power to cause Padme to die in order to turn Anakin completely to the dark side. (since there was no medical explanation for her death). I think Sidious planned everything in advance and may have been the one to implant those visions into Anakin's dreams as well
