This is so perfect. Whatever happened to films like this one? How did we ever "progress" to thing s like The Hangover?
This is such great, classic humor. I can just feel my soul imploding from watching this scene alone. Is the entire film about a leopard? This looks hilarious!
all of my friends and family think i'm weird coz i love movies from the golden hollywood era...but seriously this one is brilliant and hilarious!no doubt about that!
Baby is so adorable, I wouldn't mind Katherine calling me and asking me to help her out with it :) That'd be so fun hahaha. God, this is forever going to be my favorite movie.
The hilarious thing about this is that Katherine Hepburn like the leopard and played with it. However Cary Grant was terrified of it, so much so that some of the close-up encounters used a stunt double, because Cary wouldn't do it. Like with the leopard playing which his trousers, we only see the bottom part of the person, which would indicated that they had indeed used stunt doubles for the really close-up stuff.
Fun fact: Christopher Reeves based his version of Clark Kent off of this movie. Seriously. Watch any Superman movie and it even becomes fairly obvious. Mind you, I think either Gregory Peck or Cary Grant would have been a good Superman, or at least if you needed a Superman cameo either one would more than work.
@TheZacula It get's even funnier. Cary Grant said he wasn't sure how to play the part until he came up with the idea of using Harold Lloyd's silent screen character as inspiration (Compare the glasses Grant wears to Lloyd's famous horn-rimmed glasses).
Hollywood better not remake this at all, unless it is too late and they did it with that shit film "All about Steve", that film sucked beyond the world suck.
I heard that Cary Grant hated working with the leopard but Kate Hepburn loved the leopard, she was the only cast member who would actually work along side the leopard while the rest of the cast would separated from it by split screen.
"He's three years old, gentle as a kitten, and likes dogs." I don't know whether Mark means that he eats dogs or is fond of them? Mark is so vague at times.
One of the most amazing movies I have ever seen. I love Katharine in this.
One of my top 10 favorite movies.Hope it comes out on Bluray soon.
I would have loved to have met Ms Hepburn.
BTW,"What's Up Doc?"with Babs Streisand and Ryan O'neal was virtually a remake of this film. Some scenes were almost unchanged. Not a bad movie either, but not in the same class as this jewel.
Okay. Where are all you people, and why aren't you my friends? I tell my friends that I love bringing up baby, and they think I'm talking about a reality show on TLC. Ugh. I miss Kate, Cary, Spencer, Jimmy. They are like family to me.
Hollywood's golden age. I wonder why they don't make comedies like this nowadays but the answer is quite simple. The script is one of the most important things and they don't seem to be concerned about it. You can make an amazing visual-effects movie if you have money but you just can make a masterpiece if you have talent.
@jeanpauljh I have watched it - my favourite scene is when they are singing to Baby to get her down from a roof I think. Oh they're so tuneless, it's hilarious!
I just love katharine's accent!!!!

I love this movie. I love how Hepburn for example can make a character who's both flighty and smart, both sweet and mischievous.
