Hey, good point at the start. That's how I started out in college, trying to be a girl pleaser. It was a weak self-effacing drone type of thinking rooted in the belief what you want is unimportant or unattainable. A defeatist self-depricating stance that once perceived makes you less attractive too. So it's self-defeating. Guys can mess up in many ways but tend to succeed similarly. Attitudes are intangible, so they are hard to correct, though.
