I should of used quotes in the just to improve your education part of my comment and also explained what I was trying to say more clearly. What I meant by "just" to improve your education is that the money shelled for it isn't always for the college to better its programs, professor salaries, etc. It is used sadly sometimes to build new sports facilities, to add more salaries to the heads of the college, and to build rec halls with Subways, Starbucks, etc. so students can shell out more money.
I just saw a CNN video of Ron Luce and they stated it costs $650 a month at the Honor Academy. So, for the year you spend at the academy, you will pay about $7,800. It's a lot, but compare it to the college universities that make students and parents shell out 15, 20, 30, 50 thousand dollars a year just to improve your education! Even buying a brand-new car costs a whole lot more than spending a year at the academy!
I remember when I went on one of your mission trips and one of the guys there was clearly gay. You could tell this gust by the way he acted, but that wasn't it all. He also was the only guy during this confessional about porn who hadn't seen it. He told he thought naked girls were disgusting(and not just in spiritual terms he just didn't like it). This guy really didn't think he was guy and you brainwashed him.
MTV is brainwashing kids but not about the petty stuff Ron Luce accuses them of. You see MTV is owned by Viacom one of the 4 largest media Corporations that control almost all of the media in the U.S. The others are Disney, Warner, and The Leeman Brothers(owns FOX). This is why Viacom owns Nickelodeon and this kind of "monopolies" are rampant in the U.S. MTV helps feed kids a false rebellion. When they area only falling inline with about half of the U.S. that has helped maintain the status quo.
They use curse words and drink not like most people don't and would without MTV,but MTV makes it seem different along with voting and democratic neo-liberalism. It makes kid feel special which makes money. But what really pisses me off is that all these Ron Luce groups don't realize that they are just as guilty of brainwashing you give kids an identity then tell them to shut out the outside world and make kids tired, confused, and feeling like crap from all of your judgments.
