  • Palani, my friend...there you are... ALOHA to all of you over there... YOU are still the absolute coolest!

    Malama pono, brah!

  • The second song is Nani Waimea - don't know the first. He kicks it on Nani Waimea. Must be a pedal since I don't see any bar slanting. B11 tuning? Thanks, Showtime

  • Hi & Aloha Johhny Pal,

the first Song is Ta-Ha-Ua-La, second is Nani Waimea, yes.

It's played on my ABM Sentinel 8string Hawaiian Steel Guitar, no Pedals! B11th Tunung. I never play any Pedals for Hawaiian Music. For Country Music I play Pedal Guitar,

E9th Tuning and A6th on the other Neck.

On my Song "Baumi Bayou" you can see and hear this also on YouTube, but it's from 1980

the Hawaiian Tunes are from 2 years back.

    A Hui Hou,

    Frank Palani Baum

  • Thanks Uncle! I'm new to steel. I see you are playing an 8 string (Rickenbacker?) and may I ask what your string tunings are for your version of B11? I would greatly appreciate it so I can figure out those beautiful runs you are doing. Mahalo nui loa! Johnny

  • Frank Palani Baum is the greatest pedal steel guitar player in the world. I adore him so much!

  • superb! Brilliant!

  • Hello & Aloha,

thanks for your nice words about my Hawaiian Guitar playing.

    A Hui Hou
