  • Hi Simon, I forgot to roll the rim on my hanging baskets. I will make some more with the rolled rims. What is the recommended size of these salsa bowls???

  • Thanks again Simon for all the vids. You make it look so easy and I'm sure it is if you just... KEEP PRACTICING! and I will!

  • What other kinds of pots would be good to roll a rim on?

  • Your a gifted teacher... thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge. Leigh

  • great video thanks! I am finding all your series incredibly useful as i'm learning to throw on a kickwheel.

  • so that rim is actually hollow??

  • Hi .probably not as it is really a folded rim that is rounded off .Even if there was air trapped it would just 'leach' out through the wall anyway,& not blow up as many people seem to think !! SL

  • Simon,

What an excellent tip. I find that I often time will chip the lip of the pot when I trim it if I'm not careful. I have thought about doing this before, but never have because I thought I would trap air, etc.... and so, your commentary on that is extremely useful.

    Thank you.

PS- I'm in Kansas, you're in Spain!! I'm so envious!

  • I threw my first cup on a wheel today. You are a large inspiration. Thank you.

  • i am sorry, i posted the question before i was done watching the video. Thank you for the tip.

  • Why is a rolled rim useful?
