this stunt just blew the chances of a Republican president in 2012. I can't understand why Walker wouldn't just drop it after the unions gave into his demands on pay, now he screwed it up for all Republicans nationwide and I don't think all Koch bros money could reverse this growing middle class movement.
@GameICY - No jobs were lost, no pay was cut. They still have better benefits and salaries than most. 25 other states have no collective bargaining at all -- Wisconsin still has some.
This is way overblown due to union and whitehouse intervention.
Never mind the fact that someone expects me to feel sorry for a person who goes..... "Oh, poor me, now I have to send my kids to private school. Now I don't have enough money to build another addition to my house."
Please.... the only people she talks to are Kathy and Alex who are just a few houses down from where she lives.
That second moron who called is ignorant of what this is about.
I'm paraphrasing here..... "You know, I just send my kids to private schooling because the teachers in the public sector weren't doing a good job."
Translation --- "I wanted to keep my kids away from society just like home-schooled kids so they never know about the world or gay marriage or science, and this is a way for me to save face without actually having to say I home-school my kids."
Nice try, but the filibuster is a legally agreed to legislative tactic. If you notice, even Democrats did not do away with it, even while possessing recent super-majority powers in the two branches of Government (a little Chuckie Schumer humor right there).
@2cpus4me Yeah I agree that Democrats filibuster when out of power as well but is there a moral or objective difference just because both parties use it? Both exploit technicalities in the legal code to throw a wrench into passing bills.
Also keep in mind you can't filibuster at all in the Wisconsin State Senate and the Democrats in the Wisconsin Senate have a larger minority than the Republicans in the 2009 senate did so I would call this a elaborate filibuster by the Democratic minority.
In 2004 and 2005 the educational system got more than 500 billion dollars more than our military. They have gotten since the 70's raises at 2 times the rate of inflation. Government employees do NOT have the right to unionize. They are whining about their jobs? Easy fix. END THEM!!! Give tax credits to families to hire private tutors to privately teach at their homes. It is a FACT that homeschooled children far out perform the public school system. It is time to end public and go private!!!
We're on our way... these goons have no shame and now are desperate. That will force them to over-reach as you know they are planning mass shutdowns. The public won't stand for it. With Obama skyrocketing oil prices (and 200 pt market-crash just today) and his clear tie to the top union thugs... they are seriously underestimating the bitter-clingers in fly-over America.
@2cpus4me You are dead on accurate my friend. I like the fact that the teachers are doing this. Right now this country has their eyes wide open. The more the left exposes their true selves the better off this country is going to be. If you remember, Clinton was well on his way to ruining the Democratic party. Reluctantly after Newt and the boys took over congress, and a plead from then adviser Dick Morris, he went to the right and hid. Now? They are coming out guns a blazing. Self Destructing!
@hrsouder No they do not. They are NOT producers. They are takers. They work for tax payer dollars. In other words they have temporary jobs. We have to cut spending. Our government employees are averaging 75k a year. WTF???? For what? We are in this whole BECAUSE OF GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES. So, we need to cut jobs drastically. Put them in the private sector. I think that the equivalent of what a public school gets should be taken away and given to the family that chooses to opt out for their child
@SuperGuitarman69 I work for the Government.Been their for 26 years i don't think that makes me temporary. Do you? And despite all you have been programmed to believe the average Gov. salary is well below 75k. Where were you when wall street execs took their record bonuses? How does $128,000.00 AVERAGE BONUS in 2010 grab ya? What have they done besides destroy this country.Go pick on them and leave working people alone.
@hrsouder I have been waiting for someone like you. First of all what they make on Wall Street is NONE of your or my business. That is a private company with private stockholders. If they want to fire someone for taking to big of bonuses then by all means have it out with them. If your money is in their company and you own stock? You better believe it. However, if you are making a ton of cash on your stock? Maybe that corporate CEO deserves his bonus. Now in terms of the bailouts? Sure you canP1
@hrsouder Don't need a job in the private sector...I'm too busy ripping you off! I cannot dislike you. That statement was great and funny. You've got a great sense of humor. I do dig that.
@hrsouder make a case for that and I would be right there with other tax payers in this country. You are NOT A TAX PAYER. So you have no right to say SHIT about the bailouts (but I'll get to your ass in a minute). You union/government workers like to use that as your argument, here is why it is NOT valid. 0.000003% of all corporations were bailed out. That means that the rest of the corporations can pay their CEO's ANY DAMNED AMOUNT THEY WANT!!! The unlike government programs are producers. P2
@SuperGuitarman69 ....You sound like all of the rest of the assholes to get pissed off and can't do anything about it. I pay taxes do you? I can say SHIT about it because this is STILL AMERICA..
@hrsouder They create MORE pie. Not take from it. They hire, insure profits to the shareholders and make the country stronger as a result all the way around. People who make money and then turn around and give it BACK to the government in taxes. Which brings me pathetically to you. You work a government job. You get benefits, you get a for sure salary. On top of all that you get to be in a union. It is next to IMPOSSIBLE to fire you. Who are your bosses? Well unlike the CEO's of a company P3
@hrsouder who answer to their bosses and shareholders, who will get fired if their company starts losing money (see that's what us in America call performance based job security) your bosses are everyone in the country or your local region. So, if you are getting stimulus dollars to keep a job we can't afford that money is being printed. Which means that the rest of us get inflation. Including you, but you get increases twice the rate of inflation so it does not effect you. America loses. Now P4
@hrsouder you need to understand something. Job performance is NOT entering into the government employee factor. If it did? America could find that we could make productive use out or "government" jobs. Aside from Police and Fire, by letting the private sector do it. The debt would come down. The services would not only be efficient but profitable. We would save millions. Post office, that travesty AMTRAK etc... HISTORY!!! Then you could find a job in the private sector and NOT be ripping usoff
@SuperGuitarman69 Could you imagine how much higher your electricity bill would be if they had to rely on UPS or Fedex to deliver it to you instead of the USPS? What is the point of having profitable services when you can't afford them? I agree the gov't is not the solution to everything but trusting the private sector is just as stupid. The private sector when left unchecked creates monopolies instead of competition which in the end screws the rest of us.
@SuperGuitarman69 YOU ARE SO FULL OF SHIT! The educational system has never received more money than the military. Did you make this up or did you hear it from Fox News? The gov't spends about 27% of our taxes on military spending and only 5% on education. If you don't believe me look it up!
@sonofsam70 There are so many fallacies in your statement It would take 20 posts to educate you. The numbers are from the CBO. Remember the failed policies of the No Child Left Behind concept? You should love that. It was a failed Bush policy. No my numbers are accurate. I am a facts, history and truth buff. You have no clue that is fine. But before you post something based on "feelings" (a typical leftist position) perhaps you should educate yourself on facts.
@SuperGuitarman69 Facts, history and truth buff?" More like BUFFOON! The NCLB did increase spending in education but in no way did it match that of military spending. Before your emotions stereotype me as a "typical leftie" you should know that I wasn't against everything that Bush did. Even though Medicare part D was a direct subsidy to pharmaceutical companies (which financed his campaign) it still benefited many of our senior citizens. I applaud him on passing that.
@sonofsam70 In 2004 and 2005 it most certainly did. It was a stimulus in education. This is what started on downhill spiral. Bush was more than likely tired of getting a hit on the attacks for the spending on the war efforts. So he passed massive spending on education. This is a fact look it up. The problem is this. I cannot go into an entire diatribe about how fractional reserve banking works, but let's just say that you cannot print money without inflation and bubbles and bursts.
@SuperGuitarman69 You are certainly pulling numbers out of your ass an there is no need to explain how reserve banking works. I agree Bush increased spending on education but it was never more than for military. It was not the stimulus on education that started the downward spiral. It was the deficit caused by the tax cuts that he gave to the elite class (his friends) which then was passed on to us (the middle class). We are well on our way of becoming the working poor. Thanks repukes!
@SuperGuitarman69 Bush in fact helped the elite soo much that he fucked the rest of us. Gave them tax breaks, gave them contracts for the war, enriched the pharmaceutical industry (Medicare Part D), started TARP in 2008, and continued to leave the market which shit on our economy unregulated. It is amazing that people still vote republican. Centrist Dems are a bunch of pussies and went along with everything. I am dissapointed with them too and hope they burn in hell together with the repukes.
@sonofsam70 The tax cuts HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IT!!! You have to cut SPENDING. I have had it with you liberal radicals. I just cannot take it anymore. The only way to stop this is to continue day in and day out to tell the truth. Until every last person knows it. Then as they steer towards the truth you can call them racist, southern morons, intolerant, for the rich etc... and seal your fate forever. You are debating an ECONOMIST GRAD!!! A former liberal that finally wised up. Geez I'm sicknow
@SuperGuitarman69 Telling the truth? You have been just repeating the same thing you hear from these trickle down theory "libertarians". I agree spending creates a deficit but cutting taxes has a lot to do with it too. As the working/midlle class we are paying most of the taxes while those on top are just paying about 7%. Before Reagan they were paying about 37%. Why not start with that truth? economist grad!
@sonofsam70 Oh my god. The top wage earners have paid ALL of the taxes with the exception of 5%. You do realize the rich paid tax rates of 75% or better for almost the entire 20th century? This attack on the rich just doesn't work anymore. You have LOST that debate. Even among the middle class. They can READ. And where is the tax rate to be set? Of course you will throw out a number but the truth is THERE IS NO SUCH THING. When you hear tax hike tax cut. It is all BULLSHIT. No tax is a given
@SuperGuitarman69 What is wrong with the top wage earner paying their share of taxes? I pay my taxes and I don't get breaks. Why should they? Oh yeah because they finance the republican campaigns and that of centrist democrats.
@sonofsam70 The Federal Reserve based on fiat currency is the reason we are in debt. What it does is it allows politicians on BOTH SIDES OF THE ISLE. To make campaign promises that causes the Fed to have to print money in the hopes that we as a country can eventually pay it back. One thing that moron was tight about. Zeitgeist fellow, was about the personal income taxes. Taxing income is against everything the founders were about. Now how to fix it. Great question there. We need to end the fedp2
@sonofsam70 do you know anything about Keynesian economic theory? I am not judging just asking. If you do not I won't hold that over your head. Most or some know the basics of it. But it is imperative you understand it.
@SuperGuitarman69 I am not economist like you but I know the basics. Strong private sector with the potential of gov't intervention when the privte sector does not deliver. I m not against a private sector. I m against monopolies that predate on the middle class. The gov't needs to step in and protect us when that happens. Libertarians believe in social Darwinism. That just doesn't seem humanistic to me. We are not animals! That can't be applied to us.
@sonofsam70 Monopolies are born of government NOT free markets. Government does this. They pass laws and regulations that make it impossible for some to compete. I am sure you hate Wal Mart. Prime example for so many economic arguments in favor of freedom. But something you do not know? Wal Mart was not favored by government. They actually grew due to great competitive growth. They have been around forever. Since they were a small store in Arkansas. No, what killed their competition? Taxes!!!
@SuperGuitarman69 Taxes did not kills Wal-marts competition. Wal-Mart's competition was killed by the Chinese cheap shit that they sell. I agree some business's have to re-invent themselves but to compete with Walmart is just impossible if you are a mom and pops shop. Especially, when you are not selling cheap shit from China.
@sonofsam70 Okay once again. Wal Mart cheap Chinese crap? What do you think the stores in competition sell? If it was of higher quality? And some stores are. Clothing, food etc.... They would have their niche in the market. ie... Buckle, here in Nashville Smack etc... No one shops at Wal Mart for stage clothes. But for smaller items? They are cheaper hoo ray. Good for everybody especially the poor. You don't hate the poor do you? They employ millions of them and give great prices.
@SuperGuitarman69 LOL!! are you doing an ad for them? they do employ millions and pay them shit and keep them poor. They refuse to give their employees benefits and have even told their employees to get on medicaid. Who pays for Medicaid? Its us the tax payers and by that I mean the middle/working class So really who is it here that hates the poor? Walmart! make them work when it comes time to take care of them. Send them to the local DSS.
@sonofsam70 They can afford private healthcare and hey guess what, are they stuck working at Wal Mart? You are acting as if they can't leave. Have you ever talked to a Wal Mart employee? They aren't bitching the left is. And Wal Mart is very good about those working there with seniority moving up the ladder. The one working management at the one here is from California and has a GED! Not bad in my book. And your statement about Wal Mart hating the poor? What would happen if you got them closed?
@sonofsam70 Do you think the boys on Jersey Shore are shopping for their get ready to go out clothes at Wal Mart?? NOOOO they are shopping at designer places and paying 200 bucks for a shirt. You see that as well with any youth, black, white, whites that think they are black lol. They buy expensive stuff. Bling if you will. Which brings me to another subject. Hmmm, spending all that money on that new shirt, do you think they would rather have that than 80 a month for healthcare?
@SuperGuitarman69 $80 a month health care? What's the deductible on that? How many people could actually afford the deductible? By the time you need a medical procedure you will get stuck with most of the bill the insurance company will find a way to get out of it. "Of course the market will regulate itself!" make profits and fuck the poor! What was your point about Keynes anyway? Everything you said has pointed in the other direction.
@sonofsam70 Tax cuts for the elite have NOTHING to do with either. Tax cuts for COMPANIES DO. They will leave states (proven in Illinois, Michigan, New York, and California with the corporate state taxes) if federally mandated? They will leave the country. I live in Tennessee, and the Gibson corporation left Nashville to China so they could continue to compete. That directly effected people I personally know. The personal income tax? SHOULD NOT EXIST! It is NOT appropriated and it DOES p1
@SuperGuitarman69 Do you think they would have left if Tariffs were still in place? These Free Trade Agreements and abolishing taxes on imports is one of the things that has caused many American jobs to go overseas. Why would they stay in Tennessee if they can pay workers a fraction of what they pay a worker here? If tariffs existed a Gibson guitar made in China would cost a lot more than one made in America. Is it really worth it? hell no!
@sonofsam70 The 2 party system should be conservatives and libertarians. We would have much more competition. We would have REAL freedom. Our economic condition would be much much stronger. And our foreign policy would be strong and not weak. And the Federal Reserve? Would not exist. No if this country was those 2 thought processes? This would return to a great country. Not a collectivist country that they whack Piven types want. It is going in that direction for good I think. Thank god.
@SuperGuitarman69 Does a strong foreign policy mean not having any involvement outside the USA? R. Paul said something along those lines and I agree with him. Collectivist country? Who gets the special treatment here? Are you gonna say Black people? If so you are way out of touch with reality. You are forgetting institutional racism to begin with and on top of that centuries of instilled cultural racism. Which we all have no matter how you look at it.
@SuperGuitarman69 I have never called you a racist and i don't think you are. I just don't see how can you still believe that tax cuts for the elite would actually create jobs. Bush's cuts have been in place since 2001. Where are these jobs? How would an unregulated market would work for the benefit of all of us? There needs to be a balance with everything. The idea of Communism is just as unrealistic as the idea of a free market that will regulate itself and work in our best interests.
@sonofsam70 effect jobs because starting businesses come from individuals using their personal wealth to take the risk to open a business. FACT. So the more you tax the more they find shelters. If you have a graduated tax? Then they will PURPOSELY make less money. Which kills jobs creation and Americas wealth. These are NOT DEBATABLE. They are FACTS. Proven in history over and over again. You want to attack Reagan for 28% tax (that shouldn't exist anyway)? Our GDP growth was enormous.
@sonofsam70 And the racist thing? That is a default position. NO Republican is a racist. I am not even a Republican. But I think the Democratic party is the most disingenuous group there is. They have destroyed the black community by entitlements. Making them dependent on government. One of my biggest heros is Chris Gardner. But to the black community? Jesse Jackson and Obama? You have to be kidding me. Obama might as well be killing his own people. NO Democrat is a friend to the blackcommunity
@SuperGuitarman69 Default position for who? How you feel inside and how you carry yourself gets reflected back to you from those around you. If you feel by default that someone thinks you are racist by your political views that says more about you than them.
@sonofsam70 a full Libertarian, but when I debate them? They always can argue a position I must admit as more of a conservative thinker I must concede to. They truly are in touch with the founding fathers in every way. A debate with a Libertarian to me? Is a very challenging one in which I really find myself agreeing with them more than disagreeing. And on some points I can sway them as well. On critical laws etc... But in NO WAY. Does one Democrat have any business in office PERIOD!!!
@SuperGuitarman69 I know that historically Democrats has been the racist party while the republicans were some what progressives. I am not fan of Obama but I vote democrat just to keep republicans out of office. I was raised a christian but now I am proudly an agnostic and yet I don't try to impose shit on nobody. These repukes want us all to think like them. They went as far as trying to redefine rape to prevent abortions. how fucking idiotic is that? Why would anyone support that?
@sonofsam70 You are on the wrong side of every issue. I am 42 years old and I have had a lifetime of being an annalist and not a taker of sides. I have studied the Smoot-Hawley tariff in full and every ramification of the damage on our country. That argument only applies to quick sound bite arguments. Not to the in depth scrutiny that economists have to endure. No if one stays on the side of the Libertarian tenet they are ALWAYS on the correct side of the American founders. I am not a P1
@SuperGuitarman69 The founders were some of the richest men at the time. They designed the system in a way that would always keep them and their likes in power. Democracy to them meant every rich white man who with land who was a slave owner. They were not average Joes. They were highly educated men who were protected their interests and were tired of British Rule. Eventhough I have respect for R Paul and his foreign policy to me libertarians are anarchists.
@sonofsam70 Where did that come from? Protecting their interests? Then why did they design a Republic? Why did they give everyone freedom of speech, the right to bear arms, the right to not incriminate themselves, and give EVERYONE personal property rights. And why did they not let the south include their slaves (like the south wanted) to count as full humans? Makes no sense. If they wanted slavery to stay? Why? And explain the quotes from the leaders? You are teaching this garbage like that?P1
@SuperGuitarman69 They designed a republic to protect their interests. Your vision of what the founding fathers were is 4th grade US history not real history. I am not saying we did not get our freedoms from them. It just didn't happen right away as you say it. Poor landless white man did not have the right to vote. The freedoms we have eventually came from that but not in the 4th grade manner you are explaining it. There was a lot more to it than that.
@sonofsam70 4th grader? Hmmm Now my history is of that..... of a 4th grader. Okay. Well tell me why did we not abolish slavery immediately upon the founding of this country?
@SuperGuitarman69 maybe a 5th grader. What are you gonna tell me next? That Pilgrims and Indians had dinner together and gave us thanksgiving? Please!!! Real history is not that simple.
@sonofsam70 No we just fought a bloody war with England. The country could not afford another war. It would have ripped apart the new Republic. The founders new this. Immediately after the war the founding fathers were sharply divided on a number of issues. We could not have went into another bloody civil war. One the founders were sure would happen at some point. And as always the case in our history, they were right. Now you know and can quit with the propaganda.
@SuperGuitarman69 So money had nothing to do with Slavery? pfft! Money has everything to do with slavery. Even in our present day. Human trafficking modern day slavery. One more thing fuck the jersey shore boys. who watches that anyway?
@sonofsam70 I don't watch them, but it personifies our countries mentality. In the youth. They are wearing 100 dollar shirts and complaining if they get in an accident coming home from the club about their hospital bill. Kinda is difficult to argue against that now isn't it? 20 million un insured are 20 to30
@SuperGuitarman69 No! I am no teacher but God knows that my teachers did earn their pay. I would kill a child that made me go through what I made my teachers go through. I gotta give them props for that!
@sonofsam70 I think I've already given quotes and the reasons against the abolishment of slavery. That is revisionist history and has no place in the dialogue of this nation. You sound like a radical leftist!
@SuperGuitarman69 I sound like a radical leftist? is that a compliment? Wal-Mart employees don't hate wal-mart do they have a choice? Oh yeah! I forgot these tax breaks for the wealthy have created many jobs. All the American people have to do now is get one of those jobs. After they move to Mexico, Malaysia, China, India, Indonesia, Nicaragua, and all these other places where these jobs were "created" with the tax cuts.
@SuperGuitarman69 That's your solution? Go to work in a place that will pay next to shit and then blame them for being poor. Blame them for being on Medicaid even though Walmart who could afford such cheap insurance $80 or less would prefer to send them to the local DSS office. You might ahve studied a lot but apparently you didn't learn how to apply that massive knowledge in economics to real life. So now I am stuck playing a shitty Fender made in Mexico instead of one made in the USA
@sonofsam70 Really? Lol, well that is what I do for a living. Now you are really going to hate me. Fender gives me all of my guitars. I have tons of them. All from the custom shop. Half of them I've requested for me. 19 of them and one on order. I have them all over, in cartage, in storage for bigger tours etc...
@SuperGuitarman69 It might be what you do for a living but numbers don't lie. The gap between the rich and the poor has widened since the Reagan's trickle down theory bullshit. Of course its just a theory you can't expect it to work. Its just like Marx's idea of communism. It sounds great on paper but overall is unrealistic due to human greed. Human greed is the same reason why the trickle down theory doesn't work.
@SuperGuitarman69 I only want what is best for America as a whole. Downsizing the Gov't is not the answer. The Gov't needs to step up and close this rich/poor gap before it gets any wider and we end up like the DR or some other third world country where the rich are filthy rich and poor are dying to get out of there. I don't know if you have ever had a chance to step into the 3rd world. Their form of Gov't is very close to what Libertarians and Repukes want.
@sonofsam70 Sorry but you are so off base it is laughable. The gap between rich and poor is a wall of shit. Their is no such thing as a pie. With productivity the pie is bigger. Do you think Bill Gates took more pie? NO he created more. Gave jobs that would not exist to those who wouldn't have one. If you are poor in America? It is YOUR OWN FAULT. There is NO ONE holding anyone back from doing whatever they want to do. If you want to become a doctor? Study. If you want to become a Stock.. P1
@sonofsam70 Broker? Work hard. If you want to build a business? Save. If you want to be a bum? Then play video games and waste time. But DO NOT COME AT THE ONES WHO BUILT THEIR LIVES ASKING FOR HANDOUTS. Or the ones who work for companies as hired guns either. We allow to many piss poor excuses for human beings in this country to use the US POOR FOLKS BS. NO. You did it now get yourself out of it and bake more pie. I cannot stand your thought process. One who hasn't a clue about economics.
@sonofsam70 I am so mad I got back on line. I am going to tell you a story. Now, you REFUSE to actually think. I get that. Remember I was on your side a long long time ago, before I got common sense and an education. I serve on a board of directors that discusses economic situations to base decisions on. We had an open forum and allowed the public in to express concerns and openly talk with us. Now, there was this black woman. She lives down the street from me. I know who she is. Part 1
@sonofsam70 I can only say that there is not a man living who wishes more sincerely than I do to see a plan adopted for the abolition of slavery. George Washington "The abolition of domestic slavery is the great object of desire in those colonies where it was unhappily introduced in their infant state. Thomas Jefferson “Consenting to slavery is a sacrilegious breach of trust, as offensive in the sight of God as it is derogatory from our own honor or interest of happiness” John Adams STOP LYING
@sonofsam70 The Piven types, Maher, Obama, Piven lol, Baher, Olbermann, Pelosi, Frank, Reid make up only about 18% of the population. People are not dumb. They are more like the founding fathers than they know. Freedom is popular. Nanny state laws and serfdom is not. That is all that side is about. Control. They like to say they care about people (poor middle class etc..) But 100 years of failed policies and a bankrupt country pretty much ended them. And their cause. They have to lie to stay in.
@SuperGuitarman69 Now about the federal reserve. How is that abolishing the federal reserve going to make this a stronger country. Don't give me none of these Zeitgeist shit. I mean a real answer.
@sonofsam70 I knew NOTHING about her other than she had some kids, owned a really nice brand new Lincoln Town car and lived in a house that was comparable to my own. She stood up and told her story. How she has 4 kids that the state provides for. She lost her job and got on government assistance. She got a home mod and now pays less than half of what I pay for my mortgage every month. She had the audacity to stand up and say that she needs help. "Thank god for Obama or I couldn't get.. Part2
@sonofsam70 or afford healthcare for my children. I CAME UNGLUED!!!! I told her off big time. I got a standing ovation. FINALLY SOMEONE STOOD UP TO THOSE LIKE HER. What did I say to her? The first words out of my mouth were "So everyone in this room should pay for your house, your utilities and your healthcare, your 600 dollar a month brand new Lincoln Town car? I told her she is a plight on this country. That she should sell the car, move into a 300 a month apartment, downsize and Part3
@SuperGuitarman69 The Black woman on welfare with 4 kids and no husband who drives a Cadillac? LOL!!! I heard that story so many times. Actually, it became popular during the Reagan campaign. I don't doubt there are some people that abuse the system but that's now what I was getting at. The middle class is disappearing and the best you can come up with is some welfare queen story from the Reagan campaign?
@sonofsam70 find the CATO institute and watch their videos. You need to gain some actual knowledge on the subject of regulation and taxation. It does you no good to debate something you know nothing about. If you do not even know Reagan's policies and what you call "trickle down" economics. (that is a leftist term by the way) then you cannot really speak on the subject. And while you are learning that also you might note that 4 - 8 is NOT 12 it is -4. Math eludes the leftist.
@SuperGuitarman69 CATO institute the libertarian think tank that helped shape Reagan's and Both of the Bushes policies. LOL!!!. I do agree with their position on the Iraq war. Out of all the libertarian groups they are the ones with the most common sense yet they take it to the extreme. A completely free market working for the benefits of all societies is as realistic as communism working. It will never work! What would work is heavily regulated market with a progressive taxation system.
@SuperGuitarman69 It doesn't matter where the term "trickle down economics" came from. What matters is that it hasn't worked. If it has worked show me the evidence! Where are these fucking jobs that the tax cuts for the elite have created?
4-8 definitely doesn't make 12. It is -4 right in wealth distribution. Who owns most of the wealth? I can assure you its not your hard working average American. Oh I forgot! "if they are not rich is their own fault cause they are lazy".
@SuperGuitarman69 Why hasn't the CATO institute explained why the standard of living for all Americans is down. They only talk about the economy growing with these free trade agreements and that sounds good on paper but what does that mean to the average American? His job is now in Mexico or in China. His farm is bought out by a major food industry because he can't compete with them. This is the policy that CATO favors. Make the rich richer and fuck the middle class and working poor.
@SuperGuitarman69 It doesn't matter how CATO will try to sugar coat it in their videos. The numbers speak for themselves. The top 2% of the population have increased their incomes by 54% in the last few years. While the average American's income has increased by less than 5% and some have even lost their jobs. Do you honestly believe Americans are lazy?
@sonofsam70 minimum wage should not be 50 dollars an hour? Then we can discuss economics. Until you can understand basic concepts (and do not feel bad Obama can't either) then you are simply not ready to have these discussions. You are an idealist. Facts and figures and historical results do not matter. Only the end game. So you use the poor are poor because the rich are stealing all the money leftist BS and do not care about facts. That is why I eye roll each time I see you commented to me.
@SuperGuitarman69 Obama understands but he has to protect those who finance his campaign and believe me they are not the average American. Its funny that you think there is a difference between dems on repukes. They are both for sale. Look at GE parent company of MSNBC. They gave just as much money to the republicans as they did to the democrats. Yet most people believe they support democrats.Yet, you defend the private sector as if they are not the ones running the show already.
@sonofsam70 Who would really care who GE gave the money to? We were discussing economics. To that? Not one Democrat has a clue on. It is a fact. It is true. FYI I am not a Republican. But if it comes down to a Democrat or Republican? That is an easy choice to make as that I do not see Dems as Americans anyway.
@SuperGuitarman69 What do you mean who cares who gave money to who? That's how policy gets made. That's how the private sector controls the gov't. Don't you get it? then you talk about how the private sector is being predated by the gov't when its the other way around. repukes are not any more American than the dems are. Unless you believe that obama being kenyan bullshit.Obama is good for one thing only. Scaring the shit out of people in the bible belt yet he is no different than Clinton.
@sonofsam70 in your brain, but once again I will give it a try. Now, who gives the most in campaign contributions? Did you know that Labor Unions give 3 times the amount of campaign contributions than Corporations and Big oil combined? Who is pushing their agenda more? Why do you think companies are going overseas? Because of idiots like you we are having this problem. Look, Canada is just a bit North of us. Renounce your citizenship and go embrace Socialism. This is a capitalist country Part 2
@SuperGuitarman69 Some companies are going overseas because of Unions but not all. My dad's company went overseas and they were not unionized. Hell look at a lot of companies in NC and SC who went overseas they were not unionized. Don't you think getting rid of tariffs had something to do with it.In Italy in the 90's when the market was being flooded with cheap made Chinese shoes the Gov't stepped in to protect local shoe makers. Why hasn't that happened here?
@sonofsam70 Most musicians start off leftists and then through traveling etc... learn about how the real world works. I had one young bass player tell me after a tour abroad how the "progressives" were not aptly named. That what they are pushing for doesn't work and he would not want to see America wind up like these countries. He said they are "regressives". Refreshing to hear for me that a young person figured this out on his own. He was a HUGE Obama supporter that will not be next election.
@SuperGuitarman69 Do you think campaign contributions is where all the money is in politics? How about the lobbyists? Look at Bush's medicare D plan. Who was pushing for it? It was the pharmaceutical industry. Look up who steered the bill through congress and where he is working now. Hint: he is no longer in congress.
He made billions for the pharmaceutical industry (with our tax money) and now they are taking care of him.
@sonofsam70 You are full of so many lies I do not know where to begin. But you are dangerous. You are the type of person that is in this country that should not be. There is a campaign going on now to ship you to Canada. To make it easier to get a Canadian citizenship. I have a friend who is from Canada and he already knew about it. Instead of debating? We give you what you want by convincing you to leave. You are a cancer, a disease of this country. Destroying it within. You are DONE.
@SuperGuitarman69 I am dangerous? Coming from someone who thinks Michael Savage is a sane person. That means a lot, NOT!!!! Michael Savage what a character. He called liberalism a mental disorder and I think wrote a book about it. Its called projections he is the one that suffers from most of the paranoid and delusional disorders on the DSM-IV-TR. So he is putting those attributes to liberals. its a defence mechanism.
@SuperGuitarman69 If you can't see the way money plays into politics then you are illiterate on the subject. You mentioned the CATO institute who helps make policy and you believe they have supreme knowledge on the subject because of some videos you watched from them. Yet, Have you seen who finances the CATO institute. Again its not your average American who is working 2 or 3 jobs to support his family. That's why it matters who give money to who.
@sonofsam70 Clinton was smart. He went to the left. And as I have said we are a country of those with common sense. Meaning that what you are spouting off isn't the normal human thought process. It is (as Michael Savage says) a mental disorder. Which I completely believe. Clinton was hammered in the mid terms. Dick Morris begged him to go with Newt and NOT to follow policies that would destroy the country. He did and got reelected. Now onto some more facts for you. Facts do not register part 1
@SuperGuitarman69 Clinton did not go to the left he was a centrist from hell. He was almost a pro-business moderate democrat almost a republican. Does NAFTA sound like something a president on the left would do? I do agree with PWORA it was something that needed to be done. No matter how much money the unions contributed to the campaign their voice didn't count. You forgot one big group. The lobbyists. How much money do you think they spend and who finances them. Its not the unions.
@sonofsam70 Ones who voted for Obama, but now see the left for what it really is. Independent thinkers (many younger) who do not really understand communism and socialism. That did not live during the cold war etc... They (for the most part) listen to reason. As in arguing about other countries etc.. I have been to many many countries in my travels. I KNOW what is the truth. I talk to them directly. I share that with many. Newer road players are seeing it for the first time for themselves.
@SuperGuitarman69 The cold war was a crock of shit. It was just a way for the military/industrial complex to make money. Scare the shit out of American people so that they would never question where their tax money was going. It was also a way for big corporations to establish puppet regimes around the world. These regimes would give them infinite access to those countries' resources. If a candidate didn't agree with their bullshit he was eliminated. LOOK UP SEPT 11, 1973 Chile.
@sonofsam70 The 70's wasn't the fault of capitalism, or the default of the United States government. It was due to a dictator. Sometimes bad things end in good results. See, here is the thing you have to understand about the world. It is NOT in black and white as you would like to believe. It is incredibly complicated. Sometimes a ruthless dictator is a better choice for the interests of the United States than the alternative. Would you be for uprooting said dictator? NO you are left. Part 1
@SuperGuitarman69 So you admit it a ruthless dictator is best for the interest of the United States. You mean like Hussein in Iraq or the Shah in Iran. This is where you are wrong its not better for the people of the US its better for whatever corporation is choosing to exploit that country. As in the case of Iran, BP benefited the most.Until 1979 when their new Anti-American regime rose to power. Now we have another asshole to deal with. Thanks BP!!!
@SuperGuitarman69 So you have been to many countries. What countries have you been to and who have you talked to? By reading at your posts it seems like you didn't get out and talk to the locals. Do you speak any other language besides English? I doubt you spoke to the average Jose or Joe of whatever country you went to. As a traveling musician you only came in contact with the elites of those countries who probably spoke English. So don't say you KNOW. all you know is what you have been told
@sonofsam70 then go to a country that has it. Do not destroy what has made the greatest country on earth. Remember Ellis Island? They were not coming to the United States because of healthcare or SS and entitlements. No that was when men were men. They were not asking for a handout they were asking for freedom. YOU want to take this away from me and my countrymen. Our founding fathers would puke over you. Possibly pick up a gun and blow your head off. Jefferson wrote about those like you!!!!!!
@SuperGuitarman69 Go to Canada eh? LOL!!! and Michael Savage? That guy makes Glenn Beck sound sane and makes Bill O' sound intelligent. I have heard a few of his broadcasts they give me a good laugh. The problem is that some people actually believe his senseless rant. Our founding fathers would puke over me and possibly you unless you were one of the elites of the time. You still have that 4th grade understanding of US History.
@SuperGuitarman69 It is not me who is destroying the greatest country on earth. it is those who pull the strings and hide behind ideals of freedom. Those ideals help them make their pockets and bank accounts larger. You fail to see behind the deception and believe you are free. They own both parties, most of the wealth, and most of the media. Yet, they give you the illusion that you have freedom and morons like you believe it and get emotional when they hear otherwise. U just proved it!
@sonofsam70 I have witnesses so many things from leftists that have made me question their reasoning functions. They are a contradiction within themselves. Most are incredibly self centered people. Not grounded in family. When they speak of politics they are belligerent. Which I usually take in stride for awhile. But I pound them with facts until they crack. Usually, most people I am around that are NOT political will side with me. I cannot tell you how many Obama voters I have changed.
@SuperGuitarman69 I am glad you have changed some Obama voters but not in the right direction. Again you seem to think there is a difference between the two parties. The only reason I voted for Obama was because any third party candidate does not stand a chance. Yet, it doesn't mean I like Obama as you assume. Its like having to choose a mugger and a rapist. Off course I'd go for the mugger which in this case is Obama.
@sonofsam70 Chile now? Is much much better off due to their slant to capitalism. I want to see capitalism everywhere. If there was capitalism then you would have much better products and cheaper prices. You should be happy about socialism existing in other countries and NOT here. They rape their businesses in most countries which causes inferior products that we do not want.
@SuperGuitarman69 Socialism exists in pretty much all of Europe. The best cars come from Germany. The best wear Italy, the best fashion accessories France. How in the fuck is socialism raping those businesses? Which reminds me The place with the highest tax in Europe Sweden. I don't see them producing inferior cars.
@SuperGuitarman69 So basically what you said is that you don't give a shit about what people want as long as there is an opportunity to make money. Then hide behind the cold war and continue exploiting those countries. Then when they seek refuge in EU or in the US fuck them send them back! It is your ideology that put them in their shitty situation in the first place. Why do you think leaders like Hugo, Evo, Correa, Kirchner and other leftitsts keep on being elected in Latin America?
@sonofsam70 There is absolutely NO integrity on the left. Free healthcare, help the poor, save the earth on and on and on. It "sounds" great. They are soundbites. Easy things that people who do not know the facts would NEVER be against. But if you know, I mean REALLY know the facts and statistics of the very results of the programs to so called "help" these soundbite phrases? You would understand that they have the exact OPPOSITE result they are designed to do. I have studied this endlessly.
@SuperGuitarman69 Integrity? You call integrity lying to the people like Bush did? That came from the right. Talk about fucking integrity. Look at the republican candidates Palin? you call that integrity.
@sonofsam70 Once again. You use soundbites in lew of actual knowledge. The Democratic party relys on you. Believe me. They hate an informed public. Attacking businesses like Wal Mart, corporations etc??? That is the tell tale sign of someone who hasn't a clue. Yeah you are being informed right at this very moment. There is no debating this. The truth is? I am 100% correct and you are 100% wrong. Everyday this great country learns a bit more. Ever inching away from your party. Libertarian Part 1
@sonofsam70 I used to go to meetings when I was in college for leftist agenda proposals. Never once was the concern about the poor. It was always about power. I am 42 years old. In my entire life I have NEVER known one Conservative go to the left. But nearly every single one of my conservative or libertarian friends were once a leftist. "If you are 20 years old and NOT a socialist? Something is wrong with your heart. If you are 40 years old and STILL as socialist? Something is wrong with yourP3
@sonofsam70 this is where you are. This is what the left has done. Made you an enemy of the United States. Union workers formally in the UAW are moving to the Republican party in the groves. They are seeing that they were sold down the pike to get votes for people who wanted power NOT their interests. This is happening all over this country. And my guess is? It will be socialism/communism vs Americanism and capitalism. You will lose. And be hated. It is already happening. Not a moment to soon!
@SuperGuitarman69 An enemy of the US? What have you done for this country? Ever served in the military? I DID! Operation "Iraqi Freedom" (fucking joke). I had a chance to see how spreading democracy really works and how military contractors overcharged taxpayers for the simplest things. A $50 hammer seriously? Thousands for a motor controller that was worth a few hundred at most. It's ok with you to let military contractors rip us off but bitch when someone in a union gets paid well.
@sonofsam70 I have no hunt for military. You served in Iraq? HMMMMMM. Why would someone who hates freedom and capitalism want to fight for a country that the majority of them stand for it. 50 dollars for a hammer? Have you ever considered why?
@SuperGuitarman69 I don't hate freedom or capitalism. What makes you think the two go together? At one point I used to believe all that bullshit they taught me in school. I really thought we were bringing democracy to other countries. Do you really think that overthrowing democratically elected presidents in other countries is bringing them democracy? Even when i was in the Navy I started seeing the hypocrisy in the whole system.
@sonofsam70 I do not think you are capable of understanding economics in any way shape or form. You are young. I will give you that but you are also a product of indoctrination. You are told what to think. That is the worst kind of indoctrination. Just simply being told. If you understood Keynes, Mises, Smith, Marx etc... You would have a justifiable basis to come with conclusive opinions. You base your ideology on feelings and ideas, not on cause and effect. That is why you fail.
@SuperGuitarman69 Overthrowing Mossadegh in 1953 in Iran and setting up a puppet regime so that BP could "continue doing business" led to the formation of extremist anti-American sentiment in the area and the revolution of 1979. How is that not cause and effect? That alone still affects the way we are dealing with the situation in the area now. Where is the indoctrination in that? you can't dispute it didn't happen. freedom? nay hypocrisy absolutely
@sonofsam70 Allow me to once again show you the deepness that you should be diving into other than the shallow end you swim in. What if we did NOT protect our interests in the region? What if we did NOT protect our oil supply? What would happen to the American economy? If Saudi Arabia falls. Remember the Saudis hate the Sheiks. I am no fan myself, but what if Saudi Arabia fell? What would happen to gas prices at the pump? What would happen to our economy? To YOUR way of life. Just YOU> Part1
@SuperGuitarman69 You just proved the point. Freedom is alright as long as it benefits some big industry. Then you go as far as to defend why they are doing it. So you can't say that freedom and capitalism are the same thing. you just said it. "What would happen to gas prices at the pump? What would happen to our economy?" So really you don't care about freedom and democracy. The middle east is just one example think of all of Latin America. That's why people like Castro and Chavez exist.
@sonofsam70 Did you miss what I just said? We have oil. We should drill here. Why? For OUR own interests. WE NEED OIL. It runs our automobiles. Are ready to just pull out and let the middle east go to shit and then we fall because we cannot keep up with pump prices? Are you seriously that dumb? Chavez is a hero to you? You think he has his peoples best interest at heart? PLEAAAASE! If you think we need to be energy independent> Then why do you vote for Democrats?
@SuperGuitarman69 I am not against drilling here as long as you do it properly. Read my other posting. I didn't say Chavez is a hero. Where in the fuck did you see that? The point I was making is that people like Chavez, Ayatollah Khomeini , and Castro rose to power as a result of our foreign policy. That's what I said. Don't put words in my mouth.
@sonofsam70 Like it or not, our economy is based on energy. Our very way of life. Those countries that we get the oil from? It is their problem if they are tyrannical. If the people want to overthrow their governments and then charge us 500 a barrel for gas? Well guess what? They will fall and poverty will be WAY worse in those countries. So what they "think" of us? Is based on narrow thinking. I could care less what Castro, Chavez or any middle easterner think of us.
@SuperGuitarman69 Yes, I get it you proved your point. You don't give a shit about freedom especially when it is a threat to our way of life. Mossadegh (man of the year by time mag) didn't want to raise the price of the oil. He just wanted BP to pay their dues which they had not been. Him being overthrown was pure fucking greed not a threat to our way of life. According to you is ok to steal and when we can't put someone in power who will allow us to. Freedom my ass!!!
@SuperGuitarman69 it is their problem they are tyrannical? you are truly a fucking moron if you believe that. All along I thought you had some common sense but you don't. Who puts these dictators in place? wew they elected by the people? NEIN! They are always put in place by the CIA even with records of human rights violations.
Again you are wrong. Citgo owned by Venezuela hasn't raised its prices to $500. They even had the discounted oil program for low income families for about 5 years.
@sonofsam70 NO Citgo is NOT owned by Venezuelans it is owned by their government. Chavez is pulling the ol' bait and switch. No he is becoming rich at the expense of the lack of free markets in Venezuela. The government grows the country becomes poorer. This is true all over this planet. Saudi's own the oil NOT the people. And if you think the CIA put Chavez in? Or the sheiks? You are INSANE. Look at what is happening around the globe? Are we causing it?????
@SuperGuitarman69 PDVSA is state owned it was nationalized in 1976. Look around the globe? Me? LOL! You need to look around the globe. I know Chavez and the Sheiks were not put in place by the CIA and I did not say every dictator was.I am talking about places like Chile, Argentina,Iran, Iraq,Guatemala, Nicaragua, El Salvador the list is endless. All these places had at least one American company looking to get infinite access to their resources. That's what I was getting at.
@SuperGuitarman69 Some of them are the places with puppet dictators that work directly for these companies. So when you say "it is their problem if they are tyrannical". its laughable.
@sonofsam70 what would happen to your daily life. Now, think about not only the pump, but the prices that would necessarily rocket due to inflated cost of business (trucking goods) (shipping goods). What would happen to food prices? What would happen to all goods? What would that do to our economy? Could we keep up? Should we print MORE money in the Federal Reserve to ease quantification? See, you do NOT THINK. Anwar is blocked by Dems isn't it? We have 30 years of oil there. IF YOU part2
@sonofsam70 think that we need to get off foreign oil? You have NO argument from me. But to do this, we MUST drill HERE. Obama just gave Brazil, England, and China rights to drill in OUR gulf. Off of OUR coasts. Then will not give charters to OUR own companies. Why? Curious isn't it. You need to ask WHY. Now don't give me the leftist Alt energy. In the future a company will master it. But now it is too expensive. You have to think in terms of reality. NOT fantasy.
@SuperGuitarman69 When Wal-Mart opened in Germany the gov't instructed them to raise their prices in order to protect local German business. Do you think German products are inferior than the cheap shit they sell in Wal-Mart? Now is that what you consider raping their business? Is that what the small business owner in Germany believes the gov't did?
@sonofsam70 How utterly stupid are you. Can you NOT see what that comment just stated? Who does that law benefit in Germany? The small German business? NO!!! The German people? Certainly not. They pay more for goods and services. So stop and use what little brain function you have and THINK for a second. DO NOT USE THE SOUNDBITE LEFTIST CRAP! It benefits the German GOVERNMENT. THEY get their tax dollars. Who suffers? The people, Wal Mart and the German business who STILL has to pay high taxesGOD
@SuperGuitarman69 That's the greedy way to look at it. How did it not benefit small business? It kept them from competing with massively produced cheap shit from overseas which is all that Wal-Mart sells. That also helped keep their unemployment rate low. Who do you think will be giving them unemployment benefits when they go out of business? Its not gonna be Wal-Mart
@sonofsam70 or Conservative? Does not matter as long as they get away from the left. Communism/Socialism is the direction and tenet of the left. They resort to making the youth believe that business is bad. Then to keep them they tell them to join unions and hate the very company that is providing them with a house, living and their boat on the lake. If they are climbing the latter? They try to keep them down. This is the ill of the left. The cancer, the disease. That is almost over.
@sonofsam70 wrong with your head!" Winston Churchill. Truer words were never spoken. I do not know you, my guess is you are young and do not understand complex issues. You will watch a movie like Avatar and freak out and cry. This is common. The problem is, if you hear what I am telling you and you cling to your agenda. If you continue? Eventually in this country you will be forced with a choice as we come closer to a 2nd civil war. Stand for freedom and the constitution? Or be the enemy.
@sonofsam70 They are tyrannical and without any doubt in my mind if they were in the era of the American revolution they would have been fighting for Great Britain. There is nothing "progressive" about them. They are regressive. They want to bring us back to tyranny. Which has been around since the beginning of time. Oligarchy is nothing "new". They should not be in office. NOT ONE of them. Now? The people are willing to listen to reason. You are not. But that's just it. Who cares. You are one
@SuperGuitarman69 Woah woah! you make it seem like i want us under some Stalinist rule or something. I am not for a communist gov't and I am not against a free market either. I like the idea of competition. When there is no competition and we all end up at their mercy. That's when the gov't needs to step in regulate things. The military spending two wars based on lies and deception. That's expensive!
@SuperGuitarman69 The two wars that's where a lot of the money is being wasted. From what I read the CATO institute was against the war because of its cost.
@sonofsam70 where you can achieve anything you want. All it takes is drive and initiative. I love freedom. I love economic freedom. I love how our country is hope. Hope to do something great with your life. Where a man is only constrained by his ability and determination, not a central authority to punishes him for doing it. A man by the sweat of his brow is his own King. That is America. That is the founding fathers. That is me. You want to live in socialism and breath in and breath out Part 3
@sonofsam70 freedom as they say they do. I applaud that for sure as well. I have many on its with the Republicans. No doubt. When they depart from liberty and small government in favor of expansion of government which only takes money out of my pocket and creates massive inefficiencies and fraud? And takes away more rights that the founders intended us to have? Then yes I will attack them. Democrats? They are bankrupting this country. They write laws that take freedom. They are dictators. Part 5
@sonofsam70 side of economic issues. He was NOT indoctrinated. Even though he did feel as if capitalism was an evil in his own mind. When he weighed common sense? He knew he was incorrect. I applauded him for that. On liberty? He is more in touch with it now than even I am. He now considers himself a Libertarian. GOOD> He doesn't have to be a Conservative, just anything but a "progressive" leftist. He said he will no longer vote for a Democrat. And would like to see the Republicans stand Part 4
this stunt just blew the chances of a Republican president in 2012. I can't understand why Walker wouldn't just drop it after the unions gave into his demands on pay, now he screwed it up for all Republicans nationwide and I don't think all Koch bros money could reverse this growing middle class movement.
GameICY 11 months ago
@GameICY - No jobs were lost, no pay was cut. They still have better benefits and salaries than most. 25 other states have no collective bargaining at all -- Wisconsin still has some.
This is way overblown due to union and whitehouse intervention.

Never mind the fact that someone expects me to feel sorry for a person who goes..... "Oh, poor me, now I have to send my kids to private school. Now I don't have enough money to build another addition to my house."
Please.... the only people she talks to are Kathy and Alex who are just a few houses down from where she lives.
aswar87 11 months ago
That second moron who called is ignorant of what this is about.
I'm paraphrasing here..... "You know, I just send my kids to private schooling because the teachers in the public sector weren't doing a good job."
Translation --- "I wanted to keep my kids away from society just like home-schooled kids so they never know about the world or gay marriage or science, and this is a way for me to save face without actually having to say I home-school my kids."
aswar87 11 months ago
I love it when conservatives call the Wisconsin 14 cowards while the Republicans set the record for filibusters in 2009 by a 2-1 margin.
To me keeping a bill from being passed by refusing to end debate is no different from not entering the capital building to deny quorum.
majordbag2 11 months ago
@majordbag2
Nice try, but the filibuster is a legally agreed to legislative tactic. If you notice, even Democrats did not do away with it, even while possessing recent super-majority powers in the two branches of Government (a little Chuckie Schumer humor right there).
2cpus4me 11 months ago
@2cpus4me Yeah I agree that Democrats filibuster when out of power as well but is there a moral or objective difference just because both parties use it? Both exploit technicalities in the legal code to throw a wrench into passing bills.
Also keep in mind you can't filibuster at all in the Wisconsin State Senate and the Democrats in the Wisconsin Senate have a larger minority than the Republicans in the 2009 senate did so I would call this a elaborate filibuster by the Democratic minority.
majordbag2 11 months ago
I'm disgusted with this illegal bill.

SuperGuitarman69 1 year ago
@SuperGuitarman69
2cpus4me 1 year ago
@2cpus4me You are dead on accurate my friend. I like the fact that the teachers are doing this. Right now this country has their eyes wide open. The more the left exposes their true selves the better off this country is going to be. If you remember, Clinton was well on his way to ruining the Democratic party. Reluctantly after Newt and the boys took over congress, and a plead from then adviser Dick Morris, he went to the right and hid. Now? They are coming out guns a blazing. Self Destructing!
SuperGuitarman69 1 year ago
@SuperGuitarman69... hey idiot Government employees DO have the right to unionize.Wait till they come after you and your job, money, benefits.
hrsouder 1 year ago
@hrsouder No they do not. They are NOT producers. They are takers. They work for tax payer dollars. In other words they have temporary jobs. We have to cut spending. Our government employees are averaging 75k a year. WTF???? For what? We are in this whole BECAUSE OF GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES. So, we need to cut jobs drastically. Put them in the private sector. I think that the equivalent of what a public school gets should be taken away and given to the family that chooses to opt out for their child
SuperGuitarman69 1 year ago
@SuperGuitarman69 I work for the Government.Been their for 26 years i don't think that makes me temporary. Do you? And despite all you have been programmed to believe the average Gov. salary is well below 75k. Where were you when wall street execs took their record bonuses? How does $128,000.00 AVERAGE BONUS in 2010 grab ya? What have they done besides destroy this country.Go pick on them and leave working people alone.
hrsouder 1 year ago
@hrsouder I have been waiting for someone like you. First of all what they make on Wall Street is NONE of your or my business. That is a private company with private stockholders. If they want to fire someone for taking to big of bonuses then by all means have it out with them. If your money is in their company and you own stock? You better believe it. However, if you are making a ton of cash on your stock? Maybe that corporate CEO deserves his bonus. Now in terms of the bailouts? Sure you canP1
SuperGuitarman69 1 year ago
@SuperGuitarman69 ..Waiting for someone like me??? Well here i am asshole what are you going to do?
hrsouder 1 year ago

@hrsouder Don't need a job in the private sector...I'm too busy ripping you off! I cannot dislike you. That statement was great and funny. You've got a great sense of humor. I do dig that.
SuperGuitarman69 1 year ago
@hrsouder make a case for that and I would be right there with other tax payers in this country. You are NOT A TAX PAYER. So you have no right to say SHIT about the bailouts (but I'll get to your ass in a minute). You union/government workers like to use that as your argument, here is why it is NOT valid. 0.000003% of all corporations were bailed out. That means that the rest of the corporations can pay their CEO's ANY DAMNED AMOUNT THEY WANT!!! The unlike government programs are producers. P2
SuperGuitarman69 1 year ago
@SuperGuitarman69 ....You sound like all of the rest of the assholes to get pissed off and can't do anything about it. I pay taxes do you? I can say SHIT about it because this is STILL AMERICA..
hrsouder 1 year ago
@hrsouder They create MORE pie. Not take from it. They hire, insure profits to the shareholders and make the country stronger as a result all the way around. People who make money and then turn around and give it BACK to the government in taxes. Which brings me pathetically to you. You work a government job. You get benefits, you get a for sure salary. On top of all that you get to be in a union. It is next to IMPOSSIBLE to fire you. Who are your bosses? Well unlike the CEO's of a company P3
SuperGuitarman69 1 year ago
@SuperGuitarman69 ..Jealous?? Get a Government job!
hrsouder 1 year ago
@hrsouder who answer to their bosses and shareholders, who will get fired if their company starts losing money (see that's what us in America call performance based job security) your bosses are everyone in the country or your local region. So, if you are getting stimulus dollars to keep a job we can't afford that money is being printed. Which means that the rest of us get inflation. Including you, but you get increases twice the rate of inflation so it does not effect you. America loses. Now P4
SuperGuitarman69 1 year ago
@SuperGuitarman69 ...Twice the rate of inflation?? only MORONS write this crap and believe it.
hrsouder 1 year ago
@hrsouder you need to understand something. Job performance is NOT entering into the government employee factor. If it did? America could find that we could make productive use out or "government" jobs. Aside from Police and Fire, by letting the private sector do it. The debt would come down. The services would not only be efficient but profitable. We would save millions. Post office, that travesty AMTRAK etc... HISTORY!!! Then you could find a job in the private sector and NOT be ripping usoff
SuperGuitarman69 1 year ago
@SuperGuitarman69 ...Don't need a job in the private sector...I'm too busy ripping you off!
hrsouder 1 year ago
@SuperGuitarman69 Could you imagine how much higher your electricity bill would be if they had to rely on UPS or Fedex to deliver it to you instead of the USPS? What is the point of having profitable services when you can't afford them? I agree the gov't is not the solution to everything but trusting the private sector is just as stupid. The private sector when left unchecked creates monopolies instead of competition which in the end screws the rest of us.
sonofsam70 1 year ago
@SuperGuitarman69 YOU ARE SO FULL OF SHIT! The educational system has never received more money than the military. Did you make this up or did you hear it from Fox News? The gov't spends about 27% of our taxes on military spending and only 5% on education. If you don't believe me look it up!
sonofsam70 1 year ago
@sonofsam70 There are so many fallacies in your statement It would take 20 posts to educate you. The numbers are from the CBO. Remember the failed policies of the No Child Left Behind concept? You should love that. It was a failed Bush policy. No my numbers are accurate. I am a facts, history and truth buff. You have no clue that is fine. But before you post something based on "feelings" (a typical leftist position) perhaps you should educate yourself on facts.
SuperGuitarman69 1 year ago
@SuperGuitarman69 Facts, history and truth buff?" More like BUFFOON! The NCLB did increase spending in education but in no way did it match that of military spending. Before your emotions stereotype me as a "typical leftie" you should know that I wasn't against everything that Bush did. Even though Medicare part D was a direct subsidy to pharmaceutical companies (which financed his campaign) it still benefited many of our senior citizens. I applaud him on passing that.
sonofsam70 1 year ago
@sonofsam70 In 2004 and 2005 it most certainly did. It was a stimulus in education. This is what started on downhill spiral. Bush was more than likely tired of getting a hit on the attacks for the spending on the war efforts. So he passed massive spending on education. This is a fact look it up. The problem is this. I cannot go into an entire diatribe about how fractional reserve banking works, but let's just say that you cannot print money without inflation and bubbles and bursts.
SuperGuitarman69 1 year ago
@SuperGuitarman69 You are certainly pulling numbers out of your ass an there is no need to explain how reserve banking works. I agree Bush increased spending on education but it was never more than for military. It was not the stimulus on education that started the downward spiral. It was the deficit caused by the tax cuts that he gave to the elite class (his friends) which then was passed on to us (the middle class). We are well on our way of becoming the working poor. Thanks repukes!
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 Bush in fact helped the elite soo much that he fucked the rest of us. Gave them tax breaks, gave them contracts for the war, enriched the pharmaceutical industry (Medicare Part D), started TARP in 2008, and continued to leave the market which shit on our economy unregulated. It is amazing that people still vote republican. Centrist Dems are a bunch of pussies and went along with everything. I am dissapointed with them too and hope they burn in hell together with the repukes.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 The tax cuts HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IT!!! You have to cut SPENDING. I have had it with you liberal radicals. I just cannot take it anymore. The only way to stop this is to continue day in and day out to tell the truth. Until every last person knows it. Then as they steer towards the truth you can call them racist, southern morons, intolerant, for the rich etc... and seal your fate forever. You are debating an ECONOMIST GRAD!!! A former liberal that finally wised up. Geez I'm sicknow
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 Telling the truth? You have been just repeating the same thing you hear from these trickle down theory "libertarians". I agree spending creates a deficit but cutting taxes has a lot to do with it too. As the working/midlle class we are paying most of the taxes while those on top are just paying about 7%. Before Reagan they were paying about 37%. Why not start with that truth? economist grad!
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 Oh my god. The top wage earners have paid ALL of the taxes with the exception of 5%. You do realize the rich paid tax rates of 75% or better for almost the entire 20th century? This attack on the rich just doesn't work anymore. You have LOST that debate. Even among the middle class. They can READ. And where is the tax rate to be set? Of course you will throw out a number but the truth is THERE IS NO SUCH THING. When you hear tax hike tax cut. It is all BULLSHIT. No tax is a given
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 What is wrong with the top wage earner paying their share of taxes? I pay my taxes and I don't get breaks. Why should they? Oh yeah because they finance the republican campaigns and that of centrist democrats.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 Zeitgeist? Oh no you didn't. That steaming pile of dung has NOTHING to do with my beliefs.
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 The Federal Reserve based on fiat currency is the reason we are in debt. What it does is it allows politicians on BOTH SIDES OF THE ISLE. To make campaign promises that causes the Fed to have to print money in the hopes that we as a country can eventually pay it back. One thing that moron was tight about. Zeitgeist fellow, was about the personal income taxes. Taxing income is against everything the founders were about. Now how to fix it. Great question there. We need to end the fedp2
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 do you know anything about Keynesian economic theory? I am not judging just asking. If you do not I won't hold that over your head. Most or some know the basics of it. But it is imperative you understand it.
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 I am not economist like you but I know the basics. Strong private sector with the potential of gov't intervention when the privte sector does not deliver. I m not against a private sector. I m against monopolies that predate on the middle class. The gov't needs to step in and protect us when that happens. Libertarians believe in social Darwinism. That just doesn't seem humanistic to me. We are not animals! That can't be applied to us.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 Monopolies are born of government NOT free markets. Government does this. They pass laws and regulations that make it impossible for some to compete. I am sure you hate Wal Mart. Prime example for so many economic arguments in favor of freedom. But something you do not know? Wal Mart was not favored by government. They actually grew due to great competitive growth. They have been around forever. Since they were a small store in Arkansas. No, what killed their competition? Taxes!!!
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 Taxes did not kills Wal-marts competition. Wal-Mart's competition was killed by the Chinese cheap shit that they sell. I agree some business's have to re-invent themselves but to compete with Walmart is just impossible if you are a mom and pops shop. Especially, when you are not selling cheap shit from China.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 Okay once again. Wal Mart cheap Chinese crap? What do you think the stores in competition sell? If it was of higher quality? And some stores are. Clothing, food etc.... They would have their niche in the market. ie... Buckle, here in Nashville Smack etc... No one shops at Wal Mart for stage clothes. But for smaller items? They are cheaper hoo ray. Good for everybody especially the poor. You don't hate the poor do you? They employ millions of them and give great prices.
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 LOL!! are you doing an ad for them? they do employ millions and pay them shit and keep them poor. They refuse to give their employees benefits and have even told their employees to get on medicaid. Who pays for Medicaid? Its us the tax payers and by that I mean the middle/working class So really who is it here that hates the poor? Walmart! make them work when it comes time to take care of them. Send them to the local DSS.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 They can afford private healthcare and hey guess what, are they stuck working at Wal Mart? You are acting as if they can't leave. Have you ever talked to a Wal Mart employee? They aren't bitching the left is. And Wal Mart is very good about those working there with seniority moving up the ladder. The one working management at the one here is from California and has a GED! Not bad in my book. And your statement about Wal Mart hating the poor? What would happen if you got them closed?
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 Do you think the boys on Jersey Shore are shopping for their get ready to go out clothes at Wal Mart?? NOOOO they are shopping at designer places and paying 200 bucks for a shirt. You see that as well with any youth, black, white, whites that think they are black lol. They buy expensive stuff. Bling if you will. Which brings me to another subject. Hmmm, spending all that money on that new shirt, do you think they would rather have that than 80 a month for healthcare?
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago

SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 Do you think they would have left if Tariffs were still in place? These Free Trade Agreements and abolishing taxes on imports is one of the things that has caused many American jobs to go overseas. Why would they stay in Tennessee if they can pay workers a fraction of what they pay a worker here? If tariffs existed a Gibson guitar made in China would cost a lot more than one made in America. Is it really worth it? hell no!
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 The 2 party system should be conservatives and libertarians. We would have much more competition. We would have REAL freedom. Our economic condition would be much much stronger. And our foreign policy would be strong and not weak. And the Federal Reserve? Would not exist. No if this country was those 2 thought processes? This would return to a great country. Not a collectivist country that they whack Piven types want. It is going in that direction for good I think. Thank god.
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 Does a strong foreign policy mean not having any involvement outside the USA? R. Paul said something along those lines and I agree with him. Collectivist country? Who gets the special treatment here? Are you gonna say Black people? If so you are way out of touch with reality. You are forgetting institutional racism to begin with and on top of that centuries of instilled cultural racism. Which we all have no matter how you look at it.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 I have never called you a racist and i don't think you are. I just don't see how can you still believe that tax cuts for the elite would actually create jobs. Bush's cuts have been in place since 2001. Where are these jobs? How would an unregulated market would work for the benefit of all of us? There needs to be a balance with everything. The idea of Communism is just as unrealistic as the idea of a free market that will regulate itself and work in our best interests.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 effect jobs because starting businesses come from individuals using their personal wealth to take the risk to open a business. FACT. So the more you tax the more they find shelters. If you have a graduated tax? Then they will PURPOSELY make less money. Which kills jobs creation and Americas wealth. These are NOT DEBATABLE. They are FACTS. Proven in history over and over again. You want to attack Reagan for 28% tax (that shouldn't exist anyway)? Our GDP growth was enormous.
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 And the racist thing? That is a default position. NO Republican is a racist. I am not even a Republican. But I think the Democratic party is the most disingenuous group there is. They have destroyed the black community by entitlements. Making them dependent on government. One of my biggest heros is Chris Gardner. But to the black community? Jesse Jackson and Obama? You have to be kidding me. Obama might as well be killing his own people. NO Democrat is a friend to the blackcommunity
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 Default position for who? How you feel inside and how you carry yourself gets reflected back to you from those around you. If you feel by default that someone thinks you are racist by your political views that says more about you than them.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 a full Libertarian, but when I debate them? They always can argue a position I must admit as more of a conservative thinker I must concede to. They truly are in touch with the founding fathers in every way. A debate with a Libertarian to me? Is a very challenging one in which I really find myself agreeing with them more than disagreeing. And on some points I can sway them as well. On critical laws etc... But in NO WAY. Does one Democrat have any business in office PERIOD!!!
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 I know that historically Democrats has been the racist party while the republicans were some what progressives. I am not fan of Obama but I vote democrat just to keep republicans out of office. I was raised a christian but now I am proudly an agnostic and yet I don't try to impose shit on nobody. These repukes want us all to think like them. They went as far as trying to redefine rape to prevent abortions. how fucking idiotic is that? Why would anyone support that?
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 You are on the wrong side of every issue. I am 42 years old and I have had a lifetime of being an annalist and not a taker of sides. I have studied the Smoot-Hawley tariff in full and every ramification of the damage on our country. That argument only applies to quick sound bite arguments. Not to the in depth scrutiny that economists have to endure. No if one stays on the side of the Libertarian tenet they are ALWAYS on the correct side of the American founders. I am not a P1
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 The founders were some of the richest men at the time. They designed the system in a way that would always keep them and their likes in power. Democracy to them meant every rich white man who with land who was a slave owner. They were not average Joes. They were highly educated men who were protected their interests and were tired of British Rule. Eventhough I have respect for R Paul and his foreign policy to me libertarians are anarchists.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 Where did that come from? Protecting their interests? Then why did they design a Republic? Why did they give everyone freedom of speech, the right to bear arms, the right to not incriminate themselves, and give EVERYONE personal property rights. And why did they not let the south include their slaves (like the south wanted) to count as full humans? Makes no sense. If they wanted slavery to stay? Why? And explain the quotes from the leaders? You are teaching this garbage like that?P1
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 They designed a republic to protect their interests. Your vision of what the founding fathers were is 4th grade US history not real history. I am not saying we did not get our freedoms from them. It just didn't happen right away as you say it. Poor landless white man did not have the right to vote. The freedoms we have eventually came from that but not in the 4th grade manner you are explaining it. There was a lot more to it than that.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 4th grader? Hmmm Now my history is of that..... of a 4th grader. Okay. Well tell me why did we not abolish slavery immediately upon the founding of this country?
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 the most simple answer? Money, Dinero, Cotton Kingdom?
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 maybe a 5th grader. What are you gonna tell me next? That Pilgrims and Indians had dinner together and gave us thanksgiving? Please!!! Real history is not that simple.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 No we just fought a bloody war with England. The country could not afford another war. It would have ripped apart the new Republic. The founders new this. Immediately after the war the founding fathers were sharply divided on a number of issues. We could not have went into another bloody civil war. One the founders were sure would happen at some point. And as always the case in our history, they were right. Now you know and can quit with the propaganda.
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 So money had nothing to do with Slavery? pfft! Money has everything to do with slavery. Even in our present day. Human trafficking modern day slavery. One more thing fuck the jersey shore boys. who watches that anyway?
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 I don't watch them, but it personifies our countries mentality. In the youth. They are wearing 100 dollar shirts and complaining if they get in an accident coming home from the club about their hospital bill. Kinda is difficult to argue against that now isn't it? 20 million un insured are 20 to30
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 Please do not tell me this. Are you a teacher???
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 No! I am no teacher but God knows that my teachers did earn their pay. I would kill a child that made me go through what I made my teachers go through. I gotta give them props for that!
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 I think I've already given quotes and the reasons against the abolishment of slavery. That is revisionist history and has no place in the dialogue of this nation. You sound like a radical leftist!
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 I sound like a radical leftist? is that a compliment? Wal-Mart employees don't hate wal-mart do they have a choice? Oh yeah! I forgot these tax breaks for the wealthy have created many jobs. All the American people have to do now is get one of those jobs. After they move to Mexico, Malaysia, China, India, Indonesia, Nicaragua, and all these other places where these jobs were "created" with the tax cuts.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 Or just down the street to Wal-Mart they are always hiring.
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 That's your solution? Go to work in a place that will pay next to shit and then blame them for being poor. Blame them for being on Medicaid even though Walmart who could afford such cheap insurance $80 or less would prefer to send them to the local DSS office. You might ahve studied a lot but apparently you didn't learn how to apply that massive knowledge in economics to real life. So now I am stuck playing a shitty Fender made in Mexico instead of one made in the USA
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 Really? Lol, well that is what I do for a living. Now you are really going to hate me. Fender gives me all of my guitars. I have tons of them. All from the custom shop. Half of them I've requested for me. 19 of them and one on order. I have them all over, in cartage, in storage for bigger tours etc...
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 It might be what you do for a living but numbers don't lie. The gap between the rich and the poor has widened since the Reagan's trickle down theory bullshit. Of course its just a theory you can't expect it to work. Its just like Marx's idea of communism. It sounds great on paper but overall is unrealistic due to human greed. Human greed is the same reason why the trickle down theory doesn't work.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 I only want what is best for America as a whole. Downsizing the Gov't is not the answer. The Gov't needs to step up and close this rich/poor gap before it gets any wider and we end up like the DR or some other third world country where the rich are filthy rich and poor are dying to get out of there. I don't know if you have ever had a chance to step into the 3rd world. Their form of Gov't is very close to what Libertarians and Repukes want.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 Sorry but you are so off base it is laughable. The gap between rich and poor is a wall of shit. Their is no such thing as a pie. With productivity the pie is bigger. Do you think Bill Gates took more pie? NO he created more. Gave jobs that would not exist to those who wouldn't have one. If you are poor in America? It is YOUR OWN FAULT. There is NO ONE holding anyone back from doing whatever they want to do. If you want to become a doctor? Study. If you want to become a Stock.. P1

SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago

Control.

The middle class is disappearing and the best you can come up with is some welfare queen story from the Reagan campaign?
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 find the CATO institute and watch their videos. You need to gain some actual knowledge on the subject of regulation and taxation. It does you no good to debate something you know nothing about. If you do not even know Reagan's policies and what you call "trickle down" economics. (that is a leftist term by the way) then you cannot really speak on the subject. And while you are learning that also you might note that 4 - 8 is NOT 12 it is -4. Math eludes the leftist.
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 CATO institute the libertarian think tank that helped shape Reagan's and Both of the Bushes policies. LOL!!!. I do agree with their position on the Iraq war. Out of all the libertarian groups they are the ones with the most common sense yet they take it to the extreme. A completely free market working for the benefits of all societies is as realistic as communism working. It will never work! What would work is heavily regulated market with a progressive taxation system.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 It doesn't matter where the term "trickle down economics" came from. What matters is that it hasn't worked. If it has worked show me the evidence! Where are these fucking jobs that the tax cuts for the elite have created?
4-8 definitely doesn't make 12. It is -4 right in wealth distribution. Who owns most of the wealth? I can assure you its not your hard working average American. Oh I forgot! "if they are not rich is their own fault cause they are lazy".
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 Why hasn't the CATO institute explained why the standard of living for all Americans is down. They only talk about the economy growing with these free trade agreements and that sounds good on paper but what does that mean to the average American? His job is now in Mexico or in China. His farm is bought out by a major food industry because he can't compete with them. This is the policy that CATO favors. Make the rich richer and fuck the middle class and working poor.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 It doesn't matter how CATO will try to sugar coat it in their videos. The numbers speak for themselves. The top 2% of the population have increased their incomes by 54% in the last few years. While the average American's income has increased by less than 5% and some have even lost their jobs. Do you honestly believe Americans are lazy?
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 minimum wage should not be 50 dollars an hour? Then we can discuss economics. Until you can understand basic concepts (and do not feel bad Obama can't either) then you are simply not ready to have these discussions. You are an idealist. Facts and figures and historical results do not matter. Only the end game. So you use the poor are poor because the rich are stealing all the money leftist BS and do not care about facts. That is why I eye roll each time I see you commented to me.
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 Obama understands but he has to protect those who finance his campaign and believe me they are not the average American. Its funny that you think there is a difference between dems on repukes. They are both for sale. Look at GE parent company of MSNBC. They gave just as much money to the republicans as they did to the democrats. Yet most people believe they support democrats.Yet, you defend the private sector as if they are not the ones running the show already.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 Who would really care who GE gave the money to? We were discussing economics. To that? Not one Democrat has a clue on. It is a fact. It is true. FYI I am not a Republican. But if it comes down to a Democrat or Republican? That is an easy choice to make as that I do not see Dems as Americans anyway.
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 What do you mean who cares who gave money to who? That's how policy gets made. That's how the private sector controls the gov't. Don't you get it? then you talk about how the private sector is being predated by the gov't when its the other way around. repukes are not any more American than the dems are. Unless you believe that obama being kenyan bullshit.Obama is good for one thing only. Scaring the shit out of people in the bible belt yet he is no different than Clinton.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 in your brain, but once again I will give it a try. Now, who gives the most in campaign contributions? Did you know that Labor Unions give 3 times the amount of campaign contributions than Corporations and Big oil combined? Who is pushing their agenda more? Why do you think companies are going overseas? Because of idiots like you we are having this problem. Look, Canada is just a bit North of us. Renounce your citizenship and go embrace Socialism. This is a capitalist country Part 2
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 Some companies are going overseas because of Unions but not all. My dad's company went overseas and they were not unionized. Hell look at a lot of companies in NC and SC who went overseas they were not unionized. Don't you think getting rid of tariffs had something to do with it.In Italy in the 90's when the market was being flooded with cheap made Chinese shoes the Gov't stepped in to protect local shoe makers. Why hasn't that happened here?
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 Most musicians start off leftists and then through traveling etc... learn about how the real world works. I had one young bass player tell me after a tour abroad how the "progressives" were not aptly named. That what they are pushing for doesn't work and he would not want to see America wind up like these countries. He said they are "regressives". Refreshing to hear for me that a young person figured this out on his own. He was a HUGE Obama supporter that will not be next election.
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 Do you think campaign contributions is where all the money is in politics? How about the lobbyists? Look at Bush's medicare D plan. Who was pushing for it? It was the pharmaceutical industry. Look up who steered the bill through congress and where he is working now. Hint: he is no longer in congress.
He made billions for the pharmaceutical industry (with our tax money) and now they are taking care of him.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 You are full of so many lies I do not know where to begin. But you are dangerous. You are the type of person that is in this country that should not be. There is a campaign going on now to ship you to Canada. To make it easier to get a Canadian citizenship. I have a friend who is from Canada and he already knew about it. Instead of debating? We give you what you want by convincing you to leave. You are a cancer, a disease of this country. Destroying it within. You are DONE.
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 I am dangerous? Coming from someone who thinks Michael Savage is a sane person. That means a lot, NOT!!!! Michael Savage what a character. He called liberalism a mental disorder and I think wrote a book about it. Its called projections he is the one that suffers from most of the paranoid and delusional disorders on the DSM-IV-TR. So he is putting those attributes to liberals. its a defence mechanism.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 If you can't see the way money plays into politics then you are illiterate on the subject. You mentioned the CATO institute who helps make policy and you believe they have supreme knowledge on the subject because of some videos you watched from them. Yet, Have you seen who finances the CATO institute. Again its not your average American who is working 2 or 3 jobs to support his family. That's why it matters who give money to who.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 Clinton was smart. He went to the left. And as I have said we are a country of those with common sense. Meaning that what you are spouting off isn't the normal human thought process. It is (as Michael Savage says) a mental disorder. Which I completely believe. Clinton was hammered in the mid terms. Dick Morris begged him to go with Newt and NOT to follow policies that would destroy the country. He did and got reelected. Now onto some more facts for you. Facts do not register part 1
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 Clinton did not go to the left he was a centrist from hell. He was almost a pro-business moderate democrat almost a republican. Does NAFTA sound like something a president on the left would do? I do agree with PWORA it was something that needed to be done. No matter how much money the unions contributed to the campaign their voice didn't count. You forgot one big group. The lobbyists. How much money do you think they spend and who finances them. Its not the unions.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 Ones who voted for Obama, but now see the left for what it really is. Independent thinkers (many younger) who do not really understand communism and socialism. That did not live during the cold war etc... They (for the most part) listen to reason. As in arguing about other countries etc.. I have been to many many countries in my travels. I KNOW what is the truth. I talk to them directly. I share that with many. Newer road players are seeing it for the first time for themselves.
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 The cold war was a crock of shit. It was just a way for the military/industrial complex to make money. Scare the shit out of American people so that they would never question where their tax money was going. It was also a way for big corporations to establish puppet regimes around the world. These regimes would give them infinite access to those countries' resources. If a candidate didn't agree with their bullshit he was eliminated. LOOK UP SEPT 11, 1973 Chile.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 The 70's wasn't the fault of capitalism, or the default of the United States government. It was due to a dictator. Sometimes bad things end in good results. See, here is the thing you have to understand about the world. It is NOT in black and white as you would like to believe. It is incredibly complicated. Sometimes a ruthless dictator is a better choice for the interests of the United States than the alternative. Would you be for uprooting said dictator? NO you are left. Part 1
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 So you admit it a ruthless dictator is best for the interest of the United States. You mean like Hussein in Iraq or the Shah in Iran. This is where you are wrong its not better for the people of the US its better for whatever corporation is choosing to exploit that country. As in the case of Iran, BP benefited the most.Until 1979 when their new Anti-American regime rose to power. Now we have another asshole to deal with. Thanks BP!!!
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 So you have been to many countries. What countries have you been to and who have you talked to? By reading at your posts it seems like you didn't get out and talk to the locals. Do you speak any other language besides English? I doubt you spoke to the average Jose or Joe of whatever country you went to. As a traveling musician you only came in contact with the elites of those countries who probably spoke English. So don't say you KNOW. all you know is what you have been told
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 then go to a country that has it. Do not destroy what has made the greatest country on earth. Remember Ellis Island? They were not coming to the United States because of healthcare or SS and entitlements. No that was when men were men. They were not asking for a handout they were asking for freedom. YOU want to take this away from me and my countrymen. Our founding fathers would puke over you. Possibly pick up a gun and blow your head off. Jefferson wrote about those like you!!!!!!
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 Go to Canada eh? LOL!!! and Michael Savage? That guy makes Glenn Beck sound sane and makes Bill O' sound intelligent. I have heard a few of his broadcasts they give me a good laugh. The problem is that some people actually believe his senseless rant. Our founding fathers would puke over me and possibly you unless you were one of the elites of the time. You still have that 4th grade understanding of US History.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 It is not me who is destroying the greatest country on earth. it is those who pull the strings and hide behind ideals of freedom. Those ideals help them make their pockets and bank accounts larger. You fail to see behind the deception and believe you are free. They own both parties, most of the wealth, and most of the media. Yet, they give you the illusion that you have freedom and morons like you believe it and get emotional when they hear otherwise. U just proved it!
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 I have witnesses so many things from leftists that have made me question their reasoning functions. They are a contradiction within themselves. Most are incredibly self centered people. Not grounded in family. When they speak of politics they are belligerent. Which I usually take in stride for awhile. But I pound them with facts until they crack. Usually, most people I am around that are NOT political will side with me. I cannot tell you how many Obama voters I have changed.
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 I am glad you have changed some Obama voters but not in the right direction. Again you seem to think there is a difference between the two parties. The only reason I voted for Obama was because any third party candidate does not stand a chance. Yet, it doesn't mean I like Obama as you assume. Its like having to choose a mugger and a rapist. Off course I'd go for the mugger which in this case is Obama.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 Chile now? Is much much better off due to their slant to capitalism. I want to see capitalism everywhere. If there was capitalism then you would have much better products and cheaper prices. You should be happy about socialism existing in other countries and NOT here. They rape their businesses in most countries which causes inferior products that we do not want.
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 Socialism exists in pretty much all of Europe. The best cars come from Germany. The best wear Italy, the best fashion accessories France. How in the fuck is socialism raping those businesses? Which reminds me The place with the highest tax in Europe Sweden. I don't see them producing inferior cars.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 So basically what you said is that you don't give a shit about what people want as long as there is an opportunity to make money. Then hide behind the cold war and continue exploiting those countries. Then when they seek refuge in EU or in the US fuck them send them back! It is your ideology that put them in their shitty situation in the first place. Why do you think leaders like Hugo, Evo, Correa, Kirchner and other leftitsts keep on being elected in Latin America?
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 There is absolutely NO integrity on the left. Free healthcare, help the poor, save the earth on and on and on. It "sounds" great. They are soundbites. Easy things that people who do not know the facts would NEVER be against. But if you know, I mean REALLY know the facts and statistics of the very results of the programs to so called "help" these soundbite phrases? You would understand that they have the exact OPPOSITE result they are designed to do. I have studied this endlessly.
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 Integrity? You call integrity lying to the people like Bush did? That came from the right. Talk about fucking integrity. Look at the republican candidates Palin? you call that integrity.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 Once again. You use soundbites in lew of actual knowledge. The Democratic party relys on you. Believe me. They hate an informed public. Attacking businesses like Wal Mart, corporations etc??? That is the tell tale sign of someone who hasn't a clue. Yeah you are being informed right at this very moment. There is no debating this. The truth is? I am 100% correct and you are 100% wrong. Everyday this great country learns a bit more. Ever inching away from your party. Libertarian Part 1
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 I used to go to meetings when I was in college for leftist agenda proposals. Never once was the concern about the poor. It was always about power. I am 42 years old. In my entire life I have NEVER known one Conservative go to the left. But nearly every single one of my conservative or libertarian friends were once a leftist. "If you are 20 years old and NOT a socialist? Something is wrong with your heart. If you are 40 years old and STILL as socialist? Something is wrong with yourP3
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 this is where you are. This is what the left has done. Made you an enemy of the United States. Union workers formally in the UAW are moving to the Republican party in the groves. They are seeing that they were sold down the pike to get votes for people who wanted power NOT their interests. This is happening all over this country. And my guess is? It will be socialism/communism vs Americanism and capitalism. You will lose. And be hated. It is already happening. Not a moment to soon!
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 An enemy of the US? What have you done for this country? Ever served in the military? I DID! Operation "Iraqi Freedom" (fucking joke). I had a chance to see how spreading democracy really works and how military contractors overcharged taxpayers for the simplest things. A $50 hammer seriously? Thousands for a motor controller that was worth a few hundred at most. It's ok with you to let military contractors rip us off but bitch when someone in a union gets paid well.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 I have no hunt for military. You served in Iraq? HMMMMMM. Why would someone who hates freedom and capitalism want to fight for a country that the majority of them stand for it. 50 dollars for a hammer? Have you ever considered why?
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 I don't hate freedom or capitalism. What makes you think the two go together? At one point I used to believe all that bullshit they taught me in school. I really thought we were bringing democracy to other countries. Do you really think that overthrowing democratically elected presidents in other countries is bringing them democracy? Even when i was in the Navy I started seeing the hypocrisy in the whole system.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 I do not think you are capable of understanding economics in any way shape or form. You are young. I will give you that but you are also a product of indoctrination. You are told what to think. That is the worst kind of indoctrination. Just simply being told. If you understood Keynes, Mises, Smith, Marx etc... You would have a justifiable basis to come with conclusive opinions. You base your ideology on feelings and ideas, not on cause and effect. That is why you fail.
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 Overthrowing Mossadegh in 1953 in Iran and setting up a puppet regime so that BP could "continue doing business" led to the formation of extremist anti-American sentiment in the area and the revolution of 1979. How is that not cause and effect? That alone still affects the way we are dealing with the situation in the area now. Where is the indoctrination in that? you can't dispute it didn't happen. freedom? nay hypocrisy absolutely
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 Allow me to once again show you the deepness that you should be diving into other than the shallow end you swim in. What if we did NOT protect our interests in the region? What if we did NOT protect our oil supply? What would happen to the American economy? If Saudi Arabia falls. Remember the Saudis hate the Sheiks. I am no fan myself, but what if Saudi Arabia fell? What would happen to gas prices at the pump? What would happen to our economy? To YOUR way of life. Just YOU> Part1
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 You just proved the point. Freedom is alright as long as it benefits some big industry. Then you go as far as to defend why they are doing it. So you can't say that freedom and capitalism are the same thing. you just said it. "What would happen to gas prices at the pump? What would happen to our economy?" So really you don't care about freedom and democracy. The middle east is just one example think of all of Latin America. That's why people like Castro and Chavez exist.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 Did you miss what I just said? We have oil. We should drill here. Why? For OUR own interests. WE NEED OIL. It runs our automobiles. Are ready to just pull out and let the middle east go to shit and then we fall because we cannot keep up with pump prices? Are you seriously that dumb? Chavez is a hero to you? You think he has his peoples best interest at heart? PLEAAAASE! If you think we need to be energy independent> Then why do you vote for Democrats?
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 I am not against drilling here as long as you do it properly. Read my other posting. I didn't say Chavez is a hero. Where in the fuck did you see that? The point I was making is that people like Chavez, Ayatollah Khomeini , and Castro rose to power as a result of our foreign policy. That's what I said. Don't put words in my mouth.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 Like it or not, our economy is based on energy. Our very way of life. Those countries that we get the oil from? It is their problem if they are tyrannical. If the people want to overthrow their governments and then charge us 500 a barrel for gas? Well guess what? They will fall and poverty will be WAY worse in those countries. So what they "think" of us? Is based on narrow thinking. I could care less what Castro, Chavez or any middle easterner think of us.
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 Yes, I get it you proved your point. You don't give a shit about freedom especially when it is a threat to our way of life. Mossadegh (man of the year by time mag) didn't want to raise the price of the oil. He just wanted BP to pay their dues which they had not been. Him being overthrown was pure fucking greed not a threat to our way of life. According to you is ok to steal and when we can't put someone in power who will allow us to. Freedom my ass!!!
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 it is their problem they are tyrannical? you are truly a fucking moron if you believe that. All along I thought you had some common sense but you don't. Who puts these dictators in place? wew they elected by the people? NEIN! They are always put in place by the CIA even with records of human rights violations.
Again you are wrong. Citgo owned by Venezuela hasn't raised its prices to $500. They even had the discounted oil program for low income families for about 5 years.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 NO Citgo is NOT owned by Venezuelans it is owned by their government. Chavez is pulling the ol' bait and switch. No he is becoming rich at the expense of the lack of free markets in Venezuela. The government grows the country becomes poorer. This is true all over this planet. Saudi's own the oil NOT the people. And if you think the CIA put Chavez in? Or the sheiks? You are INSANE. Look at what is happening around the globe? Are we causing it?????
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 PDVSA is state owned it was nationalized in 1976. Look around the globe? Me? LOL! You need to look around the globe. I know Chavez and the Sheiks were not put in place by the CIA and I did not say every dictator was.I am talking about places like Chile, Argentina,Iran, Iraq,Guatemala, Nicaragua, El Salvador the list is endless. All these places had at least one American company looking to get infinite access to their resources. That's what I was getting at.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 Some of them are the places with puppet dictators that work directly for these companies. So when you say "it is their problem if they are tyrannical". its laughable.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 what would happen to your daily life. Now, think about not only the pump, but the prices that would necessarily rocket due to inflated cost of business (trucking goods) (shipping goods). What would happen to food prices? What would happen to all goods? What would that do to our economy? Could we keep up? Should we print MORE money in the Federal Reserve to ease quantification? See, you do NOT THINK. Anwar is blocked by Dems isn't it? We have 30 years of oil there. IF YOU part2
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 think that we need to get off foreign oil? You have NO argument from me. But to do this, we MUST drill HERE. Obama just gave Brazil, England, and China rights to drill in OUR gulf. Off of OUR coasts. Then will not give charters to OUR own companies. Why? Curious isn't it. You need to ask WHY. Now don't give me the leftist Alt energy. In the future a company will master it. But now it is too expensive. You have to think in terms of reality. NOT fantasy.
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 When Wal-Mart opened in Germany the gov't instructed them to raise their prices in order to protect local German business. Do you think German products are inferior than the cheap shit they sell in Wal-Mart? Now is that what you consider raping their business? Is that what the small business owner in Germany believes the gov't did?
Yeah, that's what I thought!
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 How utterly stupid are you. Can you NOT see what that comment just stated? Who does that law benefit in Germany? The small German business? NO!!! The German people? Certainly not. They pay more for goods and services. So stop and use what little brain function you have and THINK for a second. DO NOT USE THE SOUNDBITE LEFTIST CRAP! It benefits the German GOVERNMENT. THEY get their tax dollars. Who suffers? The people, Wal Mart and the German business who STILL has to pay high taxesGOD
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 That's the greedy way to look at it. How did it not benefit small business? It kept them from competing with massively produced cheap shit from overseas which is all that Wal-Mart sells. That also helped keep their unemployment rate low. Who do you think will be giving them unemployment benefits when they go out of business? Its not gonna be Wal-Mart
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 or Conservative? Does not matter as long as they get away from the left. Communism/Socialism is the direction and tenet of the left. They resort to making the youth believe that business is bad. Then to keep them they tell them to join unions and hate the very company that is providing them with a house, living and their boat on the lake. If they are climbing the latter? They try to keep them down. This is the ill of the left. The cancer, the disease. That is almost over.
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 wrong with your head!" Winston Churchill. Truer words were never spoken. I do not know you, my guess is you are young and do not understand complex issues. You will watch a movie like Avatar and freak out and cry. This is common. The problem is, if you hear what I am telling you and you cling to your agenda. If you continue? Eventually in this country you will be forced with a choice as we come closer to a 2nd civil war. Stand for freedom and the constitution? Or be the enemy.
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 They are tyrannical and without any doubt in my mind if they were in the era of the American revolution they would have been fighting for Great Britain. There is nothing "progressive" about them. They are regressive. They want to bring us back to tyranny. Which has been around since the beginning of time. Oligarchy is nothing "new". They should not be in office. NOT ONE of them. Now? The people are willing to listen to reason. You are not. But that's just it. Who cares. You are one
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 Woah woah! you make it seem like i want us under some Stalinist rule or something. I am not for a communist gov't and I am not against a free market either. I like the idea of competition. When there is no competition and we all end up at their mercy. That's when the gov't needs to step in regulate things. The military spending two wars based on lies and deception. That's expensive!
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@SuperGuitarman69 The two wars that's where a lot of the money is being wasted. From what I read the CATO institute was against the war because of its cost.
sonofsam70 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 where you can achieve anything you want. All it takes is drive and initiative. I love freedom. I love economic freedom. I love how our country is hope. Hope to do something great with your life. Where a man is only constrained by his ability and determination, not a central authority to punishes him for doing it. A man by the sweat of his brow is his own King. That is America. That is the founding fathers. That is me. You want to live in socialism and breath in and breath out Part 3
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 freedom as they say they do. I applaud that for sure as well. I have many on its with the Republicans. No doubt. When they depart from liberty and small government in favor of expansion of government which only takes money out of my pocket and creates massive inefficiencies and fraud? And takes away more rights that the founders intended us to have? Then yes I will attack them. Democrats? They are bankrupting this country. They write laws that take freedom. They are dictators. Part 5
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
@sonofsam70 side of economic issues. He was NOT indoctrinated. Even though he did feel as if capitalism was an evil in his own mind. When he weighed common sense? He knew he was incorrect. I applauded him for that. On liberty? He is more in touch with it now than even I am. He now considers himself a Libertarian. GOOD> He doesn't have to be a Conservative, just anything but a "progressive" leftist. He said he will no longer vote for a Democrat. And would like to see the Republicans stand Part 4
SuperGuitarman69 11 months ago
