I definitely agree that the Pitch Black Forest is supposed to represent the unconscious mind (in this case Kaito's) which is why it runs contrary to the rules of reality. And I would agree with KillAllHumanity about the moth. Moths are attracted to darkness, which is why they would exist in the Pitch Black Forest.

You can't hear it, because it's not an actual place, everyone always knew exactly where it was because it's in your head, so of course you know it. It's a labrynith in your heart because your emotions effect your thoughts, and in the morning it's dark because when you first wake up, you see darkness since you've yet to open your eyes, and your thoughts aren't exactly clear.

Kaito finally finds Meiko in his own little world, drawn to her like a moth to a flame. However, by doing so, he loses himself and goes insane, falling into dementia. The pitch black forest is always moving because people constantly move and think, our thoughts change, but they always retain that level of darkness.

But his mind is clouded by darkness, and as the other's stated he pushes/loses Rin and Len along the way. In my point of view kaito was like a moth or rare creature collector who would do everything he could to obtain meiko. As we can see in the lyrics, "the pitch black forest I always moving". Judging from this statement and the moth-shaped lights that formed around meiko the forest may actually be a giant moth-like machine powered by meiko. And since this makes meiko kinda like a big moth kaito is trying to add her to his "collection".

The pitch-black forest seems to be some sort of different world/universe/place where nothing is as it seems. Kaito and Rin&Len are searching for something (Meiko) who is apparently some sort of former friend/lover/aquaintance of theirs, but has been changed by the forest. (Or possibly experimented on, given all the machinery there...)

Miku might be a resident there, maybe sabotaging them (she smirks at the end after Kaito falls) along the way; maybe guarding Meiko. Or both. It's very confusing.

I have an idea of what this could be about.

Miku's friend KAITO who had lost someone he loved, and Miku is singing about her friend looking for the person he loved. She imagines he what gone somewhat insane, hence the parts about fishes flying in the air. Rin & Len being taken by the bird represents KAITO rejecting others while he's looking.

The part in the PV where KAITO falls represents him becoming lost himself.

The Pitch Black Forest is KAITO's mind.

Of course, this is all guessing.

what I got of the story was the kids who I think are rin and len were exploring with there father, kaito( or brother or what ever)but then get taken by a gaint He was angry at the flying creature and was looking for them. He fond somesort of accient trap or device that looked like human. He triggered the trap(?) and fell and died? or something else cant quite figger the end out.
