  • What a beautiful rendition! Love the fine taans you took with seeming ease! :)

You sure have a seasoned sweet voice for classical vocal that reflects your obvious riyaz.

Am so glad to have had the opportunity to listen to your mesmerizing performance, thanks to my visit among frequent ones, to the wonderful Classical & Marathi music channel of a much regarded YT friend Sudhir, of @SJisBack.

  • I like her singing very much. Has her own signature too...Keep it up!

  • very nice.........

  • very good voice .well rendered.though iam not proficient in classical music i felt her

voice went out of--sur--from 2 minute---46 seconds-,in - onwards.any how she is from joglekar family -, in india i heard classical marathi singers associated with that surname.

  • @manoharraomamidi No manohar she didn't go out of sur... Just did something more unconventional!

  • Great voice!!!! Keep up the great talent!!!

  • good very acuurate and fine touch in perfeomance.

  • Excellent voice, so professional and accurate, best wishes and loys of succes dear Samidha! Namaskar!

  • What talent!! absolutely super. Keep it up Sumidha! would like to hear more.

  • khoopach surekh!

  • Gr8 Samidha!!! Keep It Up........

  • awesome voice...

  • very nice !

  • Ahaha! Kananehi amrutacha godwa chakhaycha anubhav milala he geet aikun!

Super Awesome! ...kharokhar Shabdanchya palikadale! :)

  • Pharach chaaaann

  • That was simply amazing!... with those intricate taans and majestic phirak.. what a beautiful performance! :)

  • Shubh Namaskar....Gorgeous voice giving this an especially sweet and unique touch. Love it !

  • Khoopach chhan ! Anek veglya jaga ghetlyat tumhi? are they ur own innovations or have you learned them from someone??

  • Nice rendering. Also a very novel transition to Vibhaas in the the रमणिमन piece.

  • smt samidha has done 100% justice to hindustani classical singing. I beg to differ that she has karnataki touch used in this song. the karnataki style do not allow any other swar other than the one in the aaroh that is sa re ga pa ni sa and the singer has used many more swarasand at times andholika swar giving the effect of other raga

  • Excellent - you've rendered so many of the "original" (Mangeshkar) passages very well.

  • Sanjeev, when are we going to hear more Marathi from you? Heard you a few years back in NJ. Want to hear some Vasantrao Deshpande (Lalit - hint hint)

  • The Tabla player should have played Ektaal Theka as opposed to Dadara.

  • In fact Asha Bhosle's recorded version of this (off of which Samidha has modeled her rendition) uses the Dadra theka (though all the other renditions I've heard use Ektaal).

The "Ramani Mana" piece around 3:00 doesn't have a Carnatic feel, it's just a glimpse of a different raga (S R G P d), goes by Bhoopkali/Bhoopeshwari/Pushpakali other names, think 'Maalvoon Taak Deep".

  • Very nicely sung, quite competant. I hope she sings more.

  • the great thing about Samidha's singing is that she seems to know her limitations and stayed within it. she seems to have a calm, sober personality which reflects through singing and gives her that edge necessary for singing this song. hats off to her considering her background and extra efforts that she must have taken to maket this effort as this doesn't come naturally to her. amazing !!!

  • raag Hansa Dhwani. has a Karnataki touch to it. quite a few songs sung by Ma. Mangeshkar have that touch of Karnataki classical.

  • युवतिमना दारुण रण रूचिर प्रेमसे झाले ।

    रणभजना संसारी असे अमर मी केले ॥

    रमणिमनहंसा नर साहस सरसी रमवी;

    शूर तोचि, विजय तोचि, हे शुभ यश मज आले॥

  • Ramani mana has a strong Carnatic feel to it ..I wonder if you have been trained in Carnatic Style. Wonderful performance, Simpl Amazing . Best Wishes

  • It is from a marathi stage play. I think Master Dinanath Mangeshkar (Lata's father) made this very popular, probably in 1940's. Asha Bhosle has recreated some of his songs in the 1950s. Check out related videos here. This rendition is excellent.

  • I am aware that this song was Sung originally by Master Dinanath in Marathi play Sangeet Maanapman and that Ashaji has rendered it as well. The way samidhaji stressed "Ramani Mana" She sounded like Carnatic Vocalist, hence I posed question if her training is in Carnatic Style. Hope that makes it clear

  • You are quite right. The particular stretch is definitely Carnatic style.

  • Brilliant!

  • Apratim ! Loved it.

Would love to hear more NatyaSangeet.

  • I hope this lady is not lost. Let us hope she is around with many many more decades of singing.

  • Amazing performance...by no stretch of imagination can i believe Samidha is born and brought up in Canada!..her spahsta shabd uchhar have left me and my wife absolutely spellbound...and oh what a voice she is blessed with.....way to go..

  • this was truly an amazing performance. i cannot believe that samidha ji is born and brought up in canada. her rendition is faultless. she must do a lot of riyaaz. i certainly know bharat balvalli. he is not a discple of the mangeshkars. he is a disciple of pandit yeashwant ji. he is truly amazing. we cannot compare lata didi or asha tai or any other mangeshkar siblings to any one. but samidha ji is truly amazing. please post more videos.

  • An excellent performance by this beautiful lady, particularly commendable being born in a foreign society. Keep it up. Notes are faultless; only slight improvement is needed in the rendering of Shrutis.

  • What a stunning performance. But I only found 2 songs from her on youtube.

  • Wonderful video! You are very accomplished.

  • *speechless*

    that was superb!

    God bless!

  • keval apratim! keep it up

  • Absolutely stunning performance. One of the great ones i've ever heard. Too Good. Keep posting them.

  • Stunning. I was completely bowled over. So was my brother, my sister, my wife and my friend Anant Damle. She should be exposed to the Dinanath version. That will give her even more ideas. Most important, remember that no Mangeshkar will ever agree that you sing as well as or better than them. So switch out completely from Dinanath songs. You will be missing a treasure trove. But that is a small price. Go to Bal Gandharva or Sawai Gandharva if you can. And build your own identity.

  • Samidha is very good but are you seriously comparing her to Mangeshkars? Narendra himself is prolly aware that the first half minute was very shaky. Listen 03. to 0.31 again.

  • No. That the Mangeshkars have a permanent niche in our hearts goes without saying. This singer is clearly not a pro. Besides performing live is a different ball game. But she should not aspire to be a Mangeshkar clone. Indian music is surely bigger than the Mangeshkars. I have been telling that to the son of a friend of mine Bharat Balwally, a disciple of the Mangeshkars, as well. It is interesting to compare Bharat with Samidha Joglekar. Bharat is available on Youtube. Try: "Mangeshache Dene"

  • Unruly, uncivilized audience. Most of them probably dont know the M of music.

  • What rag is this?

    Music is in her genes.

  • hansdhwani

  • Wow! Yuvatimana has been my all time favorite for the past four decades. I am very jealous about anyone singing it, with Asha Bhonsle's rendering as my benchmark.

Today, my dear girl, you reduced me to tears. You have a very great future. I hope to listen to you in person and may be arrange a concert in Wisconsin. Keep shining!

    Withe Best Wishes,

    Sridhar

  • gr8 singing...appreciated

  • Just a fantastic 5-star performance! Liked the embellishment on yuvatimana just before 'once more'. I grew up listening to NatyaSangeet. You raise my hope of getting my son (US born) to sing Natysangeet!

  • Excellent rendering by All I should say, singer as well as all accompaning, Great experience !!
