exactly....Paul Rodgers IS the voice of rock music,,,none comes close.....Sammy Hagar is right up there, although most would never admit, the dude's got natural pipes!..
Have we succeeded? We think so. Before long we shall have covered with our narratives an enormous period of time; between the "Comtesse de Salisbury' and the "Comte de Monte Christo" five centuries and a half are compresed. Well, we assert that we have taught France as much history about those five centuries and a half as any historian. This passage is from The Companions of Jehu which was written by Alexandre Dumas pere.
@beyondtherainbow14 'I do not like the reappearance of The Jesuits ... If ever there was a body of men who merited damnation on earth and in hell, it is this society of Loyola's. Nevertheless, we are compelled by our system of religous toleration to offer them an asylum.' John Adams, 2nd President of the U.S.A
@beyondtherainbow14 these passages are from page #17 of The Companions of Jehu written by Alexandre Dumas pere--"Sir, I have heard speak of the Companions of Jesus," replied the magistrate with his jeering smile. "The Jesuits, you mean? That is not what I am seeking, sir."....Elisha consecrated Jehu King of Israel, on condition that he exterminate the house of Ahab; Elisha was Louis XVIII; Jehu was Cadoudal; the house of Ahab, the Revolution.
This song should have ben a number one hit loved it from the free days in the early 70's and still do. Resently saw them again Paul Rogers and the band still Kick ass,Thanks for the years of dedication to your craft!
I agree - this Rockchick's been listening to him since the 70's and I can't think of anyone that's better. Just love his voice and those rich chords just seem to fall out of his mouth effortlessly. This is what he was born to do!
@anonymusum I'm no expert, but A) Bands usually play songs faster live, and B) Paul Rodgers wrote the song. So he can dictate how fast or slow it should go.
@KevinSullivan1, Correction Paul Rodgers was the vocalist for the band Free and Simon Kirke was the drummer and they both went on to form Bad Company. If you don't agree google it
This fantastic man is the only Guy that has mantained a great voice.Even Robert Plant and Roger Daltry couldn't get that same sound from their peak but Paul Rodgers goes on and on. Fabulous
I'm not a big Journey fan.... but Neal Schon has to be one of the last great classic rock guitarists, right up there with Slash and a handful of others. And Paul Rodgers - one of the most underrated rock vocalists ever. And - Wishing Well is one of the absolute best albums in the classic rock canon - Free's Heartbreaker - their last ditch attempt to keep it all together. Seriously - if you're a classic rock fan, go out and buy this right now, if you haven't already done so.
This Song was written for Paul Kossoff, Free Member and one of the Best Guitarrists EVER , PR wrote it in a Time wenn Koss was very massiv Drug addicted, the Band wanted to help him with this Song , but this try failed, Saidly Koss died only a few years later , and i think that erverytime PR sings this Song , he will think on Koss with tears in his eyes. R.I.P Koss
@singersuegray Before you respond to people's comments, you should understand what they meant. Straight shooter and Desolation angels are top albums. Bad Co the album and Run with the pack are worth the money. Burnin Sky & Rough Diamonds are criminally bad
