1997 Mustang v6 cherry bomb glasspacks

Never was a fan of glasspack dual exhausts on a V6. I went for a chambered muffler for a better sound. My Sonata has a chambered muffer setup and it turned out pretty impressive. I'm suprised this only has 3 likes. It's not as bad as I thought it would be before I viewed this.

cherrybombs in my opinon only sound good on v8s, give it to much rice on a v6.

NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO, a v6 will not sounds like a v8, just a different engine so u cant get the same sound. IMO flowmasters suck on a v6 after u get past 2k rpm. i LOVE MAC EXHAUST! they are pretty sweet for v6 stangs, really give it a great tone thru all rpms. havent heard it on v8 but im sure its gotta be nastyyy!!!!

Mufflers give a deeper sound. It wont make it loud

If you want a louder rattle deep sound... you need more than a muffler.

You need to start off with custom pipes and headers to make your car start sounding like a v8

flowmaster will make a v6 sound more like a v8 and less like a deep ricer

Wrong...Flowmasters on a v6 actually sound just short of death. They buzz way too much, and they are designed for v8's. Mac however, makes extremely kickass mufflers that are very underrated and sound great on v6's.

@MiyagiDoKarate .......that's def. true... 6's have a higher pitch.. and it sort of sounds like an import that went through puberty....i cant get enough of the v8 sound.. in a mustang that is... i always roll my window down when we at a light and one is beside me.. just to hear the exhaust...my girl always laughs.. but that's my high...

wanna really make a v6 sound like a v8? Headers, No cats AT ALL, no mufflers, Headers running into thrush glass packs is the way to do it. make sure you got duals. Or...buy a v8!

@frostbytey nah yo just cam it, and and headers thats all the up grade ya need...the v6 need the cats for back pressure or youll get starting troubles in the cold and its illegal to have no muffler for noise issues so i just think thats a dumb idea in general.

@TheMustang2k damn this post was really old o.0 yeah use a lopey cam for a v6 maybe itll sound good. I been running in ohio no cats for almost 2 years now in my 3.4L camaro. only been pulled over once for speeding... and that was unfortunetly last friday... I got no cats with stock manifolds and a custom made exhaust (single) a set of hi flow heads and some cam that came with the car. I run about 220 hp. it's louder than a stock mustang GT.. but no where near as fast...
