@jjang1020 This song is not Korean, it is Taiwanese. A-Li San is a mountain for the aboriginal Taiwanese people, the Korean Ali-Lan is no where related to A-Li San mountain

@rivlukcoltd Yes, Deng Li-Jun IS Taiwanese, and Ali (shan) mountain was always dear to her. Her life, as well as other Taiwanese people, was always "cheated" as she was not able to visit the mainland because of the stupid relationship at that time between the two governments. I always found it interesting that the Shanghai people do not include the "H" sound or pinyin spelling in Shan...or Zhou, Zhao, etc...My guess is that you might have spent some time in Shanghai?

@4tomoconnor I love her songs, thanks for your reply; and no I've never been to Shanghai, I'm actually half English half Taiwanese, I learned how to speak/read Mandarin and Taiwanese when I was young from my mother, I grew up mainly away from Taiwan in the UK though. So I just typed however I said the word (bad accent) I don't get pinyin either. I guess I'm a bit of a "wie gwor len"

In very simple defintion, 国语 for both China and Taiwan is 华文。For Singapore, 国语 is Malay Language (马来语)。
