@paltube9 Thank you! An altar is where we pray, yes, but it's also where we do rituals, spells, and meditate. It's probably used for rituals more than anything else (at least for me), and it often becomes my work table where I work on magickal objects, potions and incense. Your altar is really beautiful! I love how you have time to do all this stuff - something I don't have. I'm just so busy and I have such little money. Right now my altar is on a white wicker bedside table that I just found. The fabric is pink floral cloth. On the top on each side are my illumination candles (which are just tea lights) and I have my incense on the right and Miraculous Medal right below it, and on the left I have an angel invocation and my holy water. Charming Pixie Flora said that if your cat gets all up into your stuff, it's likely they're one of your 'familiars'. I think it's true, just 'cause of some of the things that have happened with me and one of my cats.
I use some kind of grey clay with sand in it. :S It's whatever my art teacher buys. I'll ask her what it is once school starts up and let you know what brand. I'm not a big fan of the sand, but it works. :P

Why, thank you! Those are solid-coloured birthday candles that I got at the local grocery store. Hmm if you can't find solid ones and you want them solid you could buy regular ones and dip them in coloured wax.
those candle snuffers were not made for votive style candles.
