I saw them years ago in a very small venue in Denver. I was no more than a few rows away from Maddy. It was magical. A night I will remember for a very long time. Maddy's voice has held up so well over time, unlike some other musicians of the day (Ian Anderson comes to mind). So few people even knew about the Span - usually if I said the name, people would refer back to Steely Dan! I treasure their music and my memories.

I first saw them in San Diego in 1973 in one of the most mis-matched concerts I've ever been to: Steeleye Span opened, followed by the Mark-Almond band (blues-jazz fusion) and headlining was J. Geils Band. The only recording I bought because of that concert was Steeleye Span. I went because of the other two bands, but these people captivated me! Maddy Prior had a good time on stage, singing and dancing around.

Maddy has been the 'vocal queen' of folk for as long as I can remember (45 years)? Arguably the best female vocalist in any genre for a century. That clarity and power of expression is hard to match.

There's a whole lot more of the poem in this version than in the one on the CD.
And Maddy does a wonderful job of evoking the seductiveness of the Elf Queen's offer.

The line up of Steeleye Span has changed a lot over the years: But each version was still brilliant. And as for Maddy - She is just brilliant!! (Seen 'em live loads of times since way back in the early 70's - they were fantastic). And what's with all these venemous 'clever' posts? .. Initially I felt so too, but then his 'relationship' with VioletLoveable became a vehicle by which he could vent his true agenda - I've been waiting for this - he's an extremist anti-abortionist. His interest in Buddhism is two fold, to engage with women artificially and to have another means to express his 'respect for life'.
It is curious that he focuses on Maddy, possibly one of his delusions that he perceives some slight from her. Dear Maddy, l hope she never comes here.

I first saw them in San Diego in 1973 in one of the most mis-matched concerts I've ever been to: Steeleye Span opened, followed by the Mark-Almond band (blues-jazz fusion) and headlining was J. Geils Band. The only recording I bought because of that concert was Steeleye Span. I went because of the other two bands, but these people captivated me! Maddy Prior had a good time on stage, singing and dancing around.

I read Adams' books, and I suppose you refer to Ford Escort, the alien. It might be worthwhile for you to review the rules of grammar and spelling that you ought to have learned in Grade 3 or so, just a suggestion, mind.
