  • My ex boyfriend always sang this song to me.....I will remember this song till the day i die. I miss those days, sometimes you don't know what you had till it's gone, but by then it's usually too late to fix it!

  • @stacyahmad I sang this song for my ex-girlfriend but I changed the name to "Darcy" for her. Ironically the girlfriend I had before her was a girl named Christine!, but I had not yet discovered Phantom of the Opera, or she would've LOVED it!

    Sarah Brightman.

  • damn you 240 !

  • LOVE THIS SONG FOREVER

  • @hartatttack420 you call it creepy because you've never experienced love like that. its his dad, grow up brat.

  • @superrush871 yeah I agree, but in all fairness to whoever you're talkin to, andrew could very well be a fanny hunter. you never know.

  • Andrew LLoyd Webber,a living,breathing,walking God.

  • @TheFruiity nostalgia is a yearning for the past.

  • We are singing this in our chorus class.

  • Sarah's Musical Theatre voice is perfect for this song.

  • BEAUTIFUL. Michael Crawford owns.....such a gorgeous song. A childhood favorite. Seen the Phantom live 3 times now!

  • @Hartatttack420 its cliff richards not michael crawford..

  • What's the highest not Raoul hits in this song?

  • so so SO gorgeous!

  • @orlieonbroadway i know I love it!

  • iv watched this movie over a thousand times lol i love it! i want this song played at my wedding

  • i saw this on broadway this summer :D

  • @orlieonbroadway me too! I saw it yesterday, wasn't it amazing?

  • @jobrosrock32118 dude....YES!!!!!!!!

  • One of the most beautiful romantic songs ever composed..

  • Omg i saw this on Broadway and the look on Phantom's face when he sees them singing it heartbreaking... and when he sings the reprise.... o mi gawsh it was absolutely heart-wrenching :'(

  • @iloveevanescence1795 me too, and that part was so sad! My mom has seen it on Broadway 3 times and everytime, by the end she's on the verge of tears!

  • cliff richard im sorry but eeeeewwwwwwwwww

  • beautiful xx

  • this song makes me cry everytime i listen to it. :) i imagine love being expressed by two people in a melodic way. promising each other infinite love. that everytime they wake up there is always love staring them at each other. that words can put up a bridge between two people where they can convey each other's feelings. they will meet at the middle,forever.... they will be together. it's what i think. :)

  • 'A donde quiera que vayas déjame ir también'

    ;3

  • I usually think the original ones are better, but to be honest I like the one from the movie more. you have to admit patrick wilson is a really good singer, even if you hate gerard and emmy.

  • @witchsaint yes, patrick wilson is very good

  • I love this song infinitely.

  • My dad used to sing this to me when I had a nightmare. It gives me so much nostalgia. Beautiful Music

  • @AndrewMatos339 i wish i had a dad like that ...congratulations !

  • @AndrewMatos339 How cute :-)

  • @AndrewMatos339 thank you for giving me an idea what to sing to my future kids when they had a nightmare =))

you're father definitely has good tastes =)

  • @AndrewMatos339 Then you had a good father! Thank you for the idea for what to sing to my future children when they have a nightmare!

  • @AndrewMatos339 Before reading your comment I was just thinking that, if I ever have a son I sing this song for him to sleep and when I read your comment I got very emotional. Hug from Brazil

  • @AndrewMatos339 I envy you so much

  • @JeremysVideos2 what is your problem!? If you don't like Lloyd Webbers work, then - for Gods sake - don't hear his songs! Use your negativ writing elsewhere.

  • Well the lyrics aren't my 'negative writing' but that of Roger Waters (of Pink Floyd fame). The lyrics are from 'Amused to Death' which is a great song (and album) that I'll bet you'd enjoy if you could get past the fact that he disses ALW in the lyrics. I just thought those particular lyrics were very amusing... When I first heard the album in the 90s in my late teens I wasn't sure who ALW was (though the name sounded familiar and I had heard of Cats) so eventually looked him and his music up.

  • Haha! Then I'm very sorry for "bitching" you. Though I do hope you get my point.

And I do also hope that you will give Lloyd Webber a change, his work is very spectacular. :)

  • Hier wordt ik stil van.zo mooi, I am still so beautifoul , i am gonna play this on my organ..Hijman1946

  • John Barrowman is amazinggggggggggggggggggggggggg!

    i think it is,,,,,

  • A classic that every child should be exposed to [12&up].

    My favorite version!

  • @NinnaLulu I've not heard other version but I still feel that Cliff is the only one that can sing with with Sarah as he has the right voice to potray emotion in this song.

  • @NinnaLulu 12 and Up? I was listening to this when I was 2. I absolutely LOVE this play. Movie was bad. Original London Cast tops it IMO.

  • You will curse the day you did not dooooo, alllll that the phantom ask of youuuuu!!

  • so i sang this once in like eighth grade, and in what may be the most nerdy comparison in all history, it always reminded me of pre-frostmourne arthas menethil and jaina proudmoore.

  • @GosfordAbercrombie The voice is NOT ugly. Maybe it's a style that you don't care for but it is not an "ugly" voice. Do you appreciate how hard it is to hit some of those high notes for even the most accomplished singer? Keep your snide personal opinions to opinions and not facts!

  • @GosfordAbercrombie The voice is NOT ugly. Maybe it's not a style u personally like but it is NOT an "ugly" voice. Keep your snyde personal opinions to yourself.

  • @GosfordAbercrombie r u shitting me?

  • gatopfuelsaver

  • Da Kurlzz mask!

  • Opera music is so soothing. Funny how i listen to metal all the time but still have a deep love for opera music

  • Hi!

We started a new musical called "Sexting: The Musical." If you like this musical, you should check ours out! Please comment!

    <3 sextingthemusical

  • This song is breathtakingly beautiful ~ :)

  • This was sung at my wedding years ago. Still is as beautiful as ever to me.

  • @lovetodance I had this sung at my wedding also. I it was song my bride walked down the aisle to.

  • For a very special friend.....this song is for you...miss you terribly...hope we find some time again........<3

  • Luckily, the Phantom gets justice in the sequel, Love Never Dies. So sad when the Phantom hears this... Even though it amazes me how fast he got up there...

  • Andrew Lloyd Webber = alcoholaddicted. You're able to hear that in the musical cats ;>

  • @LizzyBmusic still a good song

  • The Phantom has 34 channels here on youtube :P

  • this song is painful for the Phantom's side. :(

  • hi from bosnia :D

  • This is the first time that I cried for something which is so beautiful as the Phantom of the opera. Indeed, tears come naturally at the part when the phantom heard this song. I recommend everyone to see this show because it will give you so many good emotions

  • After 45 years of performing my own songs and singing publically, being told I have a 'beautiful voice', when I hear this song I only want to be silent and listen. It is so beautiful. Pure magic. Makes me sigh for the magical loves in my life. Thank you ALW and crew of Phantom for creating such beauty

  • should change the 'you' to 'thee'? sounds more musical :P

  • Tunes of summertime, not talk. Prick.

I hate assholes who just throw stuff up to get noticed (or paid).

    *Cough*

  • i don't know why but Eric's(Phantom) story...with Christine...with his ugly face and that stuff...with his good heart...reminds me a little of Quasimodos...don't you think?

  • Oh god except this raul is such a fag and sings like a slut.

  • Phantom is greater than Raoul. End of story. Forget Raoul. ;o I'd go to the Phantom like a male dog following a female one in heat.

  • The real Phantom of the Opera's name was Erik -- the author of the Phantom of the Opera (classical book) researched this real person who actually did live under the Opera House -- and people knew the legend and some of his actions. They found his skeleton way underneath the Opera House when they tore it down. The Phantom was a dark character and murder is evil; however, some dark characters can love/be obsessed with goodness and beauty (Christine).

  • Wow so much tenderness...I love it!!

  • how can there be a dislike button here?

oh wait its because raoul is singing this lulz jk jk :3

  • I recommend (for all people that think The Phantom is bad) read the book "Phantom" of Susan Kay...all the life (since he's born) of Erik is there and you will understand many things of his behavior. He never meant to hurt Christine...really he love her, and she love him too.

  • its such a beautiful song... it made me even cry....

  • I just got married two weeks ago and i had two of my very good friends to sing this at my wedding we slightly altered the song because it says christine and her name isnt christine lol

  • If you compare the lyrics of "All I Ask of You" and "Music of the Night" you discover a very important contrast between the Phantom and Raoul that should be obvious. THe Phantom always talks about controling Christine and hiding her away from the world, whereas Raoul talks about really going out into the world and living life. Frankly, I don't understand the sympathy for the Phantom past a certain point. He murders 2 people in cold blood out of selfish desire to control Christine's life.

  • all time favourite song <3

  • i want to see this musical again and again and again and again, can't get enough

  • how can ANYONE be ignorant enough to dislike such a beautiful work of art?!?!?!?!

  • @anieitaly I couldn't agree more with you! This is one of the best and most romantic songs ever!

  • @anieitaly I completly understand what your saying I saw this yesterday and it was amazing! And the answer to your question is that those people have never seen this amazing musical and therefore they cannot apreciate the true meaning of this song, and how beautiful it really is.

  • @anieitaly Probably some young unappreciative punk. (this coming from a 15 year old)

  • @anieitaly as much as i love this song - you are the one who is ignorant if you expect ANYTHING to be universally liked or accepted. who cares what other people think anyway. enjoy it for yourself

  • @anieitaly Ignoring that it's subjective, the sound quality on this video SUCKS.

  • @puppetmaster124 how can she dump him if she dies at the end of the first one

  • @puppetmaster124 how can she dump him if she dies at the end

  • This piece of art will live for ever & never dies!!!

  • such a beautiful song! but then she dumps him for the phantom in the sequel

  • I think the british recording is better.

  • i love this song but im not sure that andrew lloyd webber is the best musical theater composer of all time. he has turned out some fairly bad duds. tho phantom is not one of them

  • @MrBrooklyn555 He definitely isn't the best musical theater composer of all time. I would say that honor goes to Sondheim, or possibly Kander/Ebb. Phantom is 'fun' but ultimately melodramatic, simple, and lacking real emotional depth.

  • @HaraldJoe69 i completely agree

  • i love that song<3

  • Hey my friend did a cover of this song, we're both 16 years old and love this song! Please listen and comment :) All feedback is greatly appreciated!

  • if you havent seem phantom on broadway its a must! absolutely beautiful

  • die raul. live christine and phantom

  • i hate raoul

  • My boyfriend can sing this so beautifully it actually made me cry x

  • @ShatteredxSpiritx awwww:)..... wish i could sing this to my gf like ur bf does u.......i cant sing tho:(

  • @hppande

dw; the thought is pretty cute. you should play it and lip-sinc it. if my bf did that, i would find it simultaneously cute and frkin hilarious hahahaha.

  • @ShatteredxSpiritx aawwwwww :-)

  • @ShatteredxSpiritx awwww that's so cute. Mine's is tone deaf.xx :)) xx

  • Our high school is doing this and im SUPER excited! im in pit and my best friend is the Phantom. It will be an unbelievable experience!

  • This Song always makes my mind calm and peaceful

  • lindaaaa...**

  • Saw the play in London... amazing!!!

  • @nodnollol

Same here! Saw it over spring break a few weeks ago........Sofia Escobar has one of the most beautiful voices I have EVER heard!

  • wow wau

  • Our high school is doing Phantom of the Opera and I can't believe they got permission to do this. I haven't seen it yet. :( But everyone is saying it's truly amazing. I can't wait to see it on Friday. I was afraid they would butcher it but I saw a preview and omg it's absolutely great. (: Phantom of the Opera you inspire high school students! I love this play <3

  • @oesdoob wausau west?!?

  • @ProM4rk uhm well idk what you meant by "wausau west" but uh yes i think. Clovis West is doing phantom, it actually ends today but it was really amazing.

  • McArthur Park basically

  • I put this link on facebook... my boyfriend and i recited the lyrics in the comments <3

  • @OperaGhostObsession good for you.

  • I love this song!

  • Pure genius!

  • Andrew Lloyd Webber is a geeeeenius

  • Andrew Lloy d WEbber is a geeeeeeniusssssssss

  • Phantom of the Opera is literally the best movie on Earth! x))

  • it's a fucking musical! it's not real, while it is a great song

  • I feel sorry for the phantom, he DOESN'T ever deserve to be unloved just because his face is disfigured. No one derserve to be unloved. *sniff* this is a good song i like it

  • I feel as though I have to hate this song because it causes the phantom so much pain. WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU CHRISTINE???? DITCH RAOUL'S SORRY ASS AND BE WITH THE PHANTOM!!!!!!!

  • @L8Rdudesanddudettes you don't understand the storyline very much -- Christine and Raoul were childhood sweethearts and had a love which extended beyond and above anything. The Phantom had an OBSESSION with Christine - he was about 60 and also had murdered someone. His integrity was very NOT there, no matter what Gerard Butler looks like! :) Holding someone prisoner and lying to them is NOT love, nor is making them live in fear.

  • @utrose4321 im allowed have my own oppinions

  • @utrose4321 The phantom was only like that because he had been treated badly by other people , and yes, he did want revenge. however he shows some kind of love for christine in the end, with setting her free to go with Raoul. so, he wasnt all bad* :)

  • @L8Rdudesanddudettes I was screaming that! It made me feel horrible when I saw the Phantom watching them! I mean, look at all the Phantom's done! He's helped her become a star! What did Raoul do? Just vanish into thin air and appear later and expect her to love him the same! It's enough to make you SICK. Little ingrate. >_<

  • @nashwa1nosha1smokey EXACTLY!!!!! i mean it was YEARS and he just turns up and expects christine to love him!

  • @L8Rdudesanddudettes Yeah, I love the opera, I do, I was practically raised on it, but I have to say that the Phantom, ugly as he is, and slightly obsessive-compulsive, would be a much better choice. Maybe it's the mystery, maybe its the misery, maybe its the abuse, I don't know, the Phantom seems much more interesting than Raoul. Plus if we're comparing voices, Phantom wins HANDS DOWN!

  • @nashwa1nosha1smokey I thought I was the only one who shared this sentiment! haha! :-)

  • @chsumo No where even close!! =D Its an amazing song!!!

  • At 2:00 Horrible misshearing. "To hold me and to hump me" ...
