Why are there conquistadores here? Isn't it about 400 years late for them?

Well, in the movies Tarzan has been to India, the Amazon and even New York. I've never seen him at the South Pole and holding up well against the hypothermia I might add.

Tarzan is one tough mofo. Climbing a glacier in nothing but a loincloth. And even on the glacier there's a vine when he needs it. The jungle doth provide.

When they animated this, they drew over actual film of a man running, jumping, etc. It was in essence, the first primitive attempt at motion capture.

It was certainly the best made cartoon on when I was a kid. I was absolutely addicted to this thing.
