  • his arms are really extended

  • this guy can probly beat the jet

  • i got a question. its hard to tell on this one but when they reload, is there a round left in the mag or is the slide stop modified cause i dont see the slide stop open or them releasing it when the new mag is inserted. ive seen other vids and the same thing.

  • either. but it depends on the course of fire. but they dont let the slide to open up because.

  • The point is usually to reload with one round left in the chamber. That way you can just start firing again very quickly. Granted, releasing the slide does not take a lot of time, but it's usually the fractions of a second that make up for quite a bit. Especially the closer you get to the top of the scoreboard.

  • You could even reload with rounds still in the magazine, to be sure they will suffice for the next part. It's faster to reload while you move and do nothing, than it is to do it in the middle of a firing segment.

  • You get to walk the course before you shoot it.

  • Todd is the absolute master!

  • My hero!

  • For competition, he is probably told how many rounds must be loaded in each mag.

  • When does he reload in the :45 -1:02 second round? He is obviously using the double stack Para but no double stack Para that I know can hold 20+1 rds... I see him start to lean down at the very end to pick up what I presume to be a spent magazine near the right...is it possible he did a mag change as he turned left at :50? I believe I hear a mag change after the first two shots as he is running at :48, but this would leave 19 shots to be fired...is he using the 9mm 18+1 Para in this match?

  • Many IPSC stages require a mandatory reload. This is to even the odds for non high-caps competitors and practice reloads. Evening the score for non-high capacity guns test your shooting skills more so than the equipment you have. Hope this helps.

  • He shoots a Para 16.40 and with extended pass pads they are 20+1.

  • now that is shooting!

  • its a double stack gun right?

  • how can he reload so fast!

  • practice and lots of practice....hes using para 16.40

  • Ciekawe jak poradziłby sobie z bojową amunicją?

  • he shoots incredibly accurate on the move, stopping only on the last shooting position 0:45, 1:03, 1:40

  • what exactly is that gun may i ask?

  • He is using a tuned up Para-Ordnance probably in .40. He is sponsored by Para.

  • todd jarrett is my idol i wonder what kinda pistol he uses for competition.....I'll defend your white children MrTieDye im way better at killing people than the U.S. Marines hahahahaha ya fuckin right you'll all die before you get three shots off.....one compound word NIGHTVISION HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • I'll ignore the rest of your comment and answer the one pertinent question you had. More than likely, Todd Jarrett uses a 1911 of some sort unless he's shooting with a red dot sight, in which case he uses a target gun which are manufactured by various companies as are the 1911's. My personal favorite 1911 is either a Kimber or Springfield Armory.

  • haha!! this is on my birthday!

  • lol white chird

  • lol

  • i wish i could shoot a double tap just like he does even if the paper target is far, usually when i do that, one goes in and the other goes out of the scoring "A". Teach me how to do that idol. ;-)

  • see two sight pictures really fast

also, the secret to running a mile in three minutes? move at least 30 feet a second for 180 seconds. :v

  • Even if the targets aren't shooting back this kind of shooting will definetly give you an advantage in an armed confrontation. Looks like alot of fun!

  • MAN, that guy can throw'em down the lane! He has awesome control of recoil. I bet he could balance a spent round on the muzzle while firing. Just Awesome!

  • Don't forget that those are the lightest loads you can have and still operate the firearm. Sure he's good, but he's also shooting very specialized ammo.

  • you can never really have a guy shooting back at you and still practice 100% proper trigger control/gun manipulation as if there were real bullets. What is true however is that sport shooters in IDPA and IPSC ARE WAY better shooters than shooter than don't practice sport pistol shooting, and that is truly as close as your going to get.

  • and how often do you pratice on live targets that do shoot back?

  • This is not a war simulation, this is a sport!

  • exactly my point.

  • Do you go to track and field events and say, "Yeah, but can you do it while being chased by wolves?"

  • this is true. i think i may have been responding to a now deleted post with the comment above.

  • Relevance?

  • look at the reload time... so fast!

  • Gotta love TJ. He has the best muzzle control in the game IMO, even better than TGO. I've never seen a gun with so little muzzle flip as when Todd is shooting.

  • I'm a bit confused...I was watching him carefully, and I noticed a couple of times, that it looked like he used a Single Stack and then reloaded with a High Cap Mag. Is this true, or did I miss a separate reload after the first Single Stack 8 round mag?

  • you are correct, but i believe it was a seperate round, at :27 he switches to a 16 round, then at 1:38 he switches back, but he never reloads from an 8 to a 16

  • where is this competition held at?

  • Just Nice

  • leatham is god

  • stellar- TJ is my hero of the week

  • bad mofo

  • Impressive.
